Just thought I help clarify that the drawing of the Kaiju shown on tv, was by witnesses from the hospital (like that old man) who saw Kaiju Kafka, not the one which was going to eat the little girl. The only ones who saw that kaiju were Kafka, Ichikawa and the little girl (her mum was unconscious), before it was obliterated by Kaiju Kafka, so it could be said that its physical description could be unknown to the Defense Force. Cant wait for future episodes! Thank you J&J! ๐๐๐ป

It's been years since I read Existentialist Franz Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis', but I believe it's the main inspiration for the main character, 'Kafka' which is not a Japanese name in any sense. Insert rabbit hole here!!! lol

She is very misunderstood as a character, but I ask you to pay attention to her character and they way she acts and why, I think you'll end up liking her more than you think! This series has some of the best OSTs and I listen to them regularly in my own mixes just doin chores around the house or working out even. Good music, good story, good laughs. Yall are gonna have a blast!

2024-09-23 11:51:40 +0000 UTCSome sporadic thoughts: - Both the intro (Abyss by YUNGBLUD) and the outro (Nobody by OneRepublic) have been in my On Repeat playlist on Spotify basically since the show came out earlier this year. All the music in this show just HITS. The visuals in the intro is all CGI and I feel like they did an awesome job at tripping us out with the science-y dystopian vibes. - Mina is H E R. - I'm glad you two have now experieced Kafka's piss nips lol that shit had me rolling. - BEST GIRL SHINOMIYA IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!! - Also, I simply adore Kafka and Ichikawa's bond. They're both such special characters to me. I see myself a lot in Kafka and like you guys mentioned, it's cool to have a main character that is our age. He's an extremely hard worker, he's goofy so you know he's fun to be around, but he's also very grounded and you can tell he has a huge heart. I definitely don't think he's full of hate like Eren Jaeger haha. And with Ichikawa I love how kind and fiercely protective he is towards Kafka while also not straying from his own goals. He's such a mature kid, I didn't even realize he was only 18 until I looked it up. Their friendship is so beautiful and wholesome, I seriously can't get enough of it. - If you guys decide to binge this I FULLY SUPPORT IT. In fact, I hope you do. This show is such a fun ride, that i feel its best digested if consumed all at once. Nothing wrong with watching an episode a week ofc, bc I did that as a live viewer, but with such a short series I definitely think y'all should go for it!

Whenever I watch anime I typically will watch intros fully for a couple of episodes and then just skip them. This is one I just let play out every time. And I can't speak for others but I was definitely counting down the days til the 15th of September for this to start ๐

Iโm on episode 3 but Iโm going to wait and watch it with you guys. I canโt wait to see how the show goes and to meet some more characters!
