HxH - Ep. 64 REACTION! *ALL PATRONS*

first time watcher the group of people in that cave who teamed up to collect all of the cards reminds me of something similar in alice in borderland. i only watched the netflix series and never finished the manga so idk how similar that part of the story is in the original manga. i wont spoil anything in case people havent watched the show or read the manga. but i just found it interesting. also J&J have either of you seen alice in borderland? i feel like you guys would enjoy it. it would be cool if they adapted the manga into a full anime series since they only did three ovas.

Remember Wing saying something like: "Sorry Master, I might have unleashed a monster." ... Well ... Now we know, who he was talking to and that his Master is in the process of polishing this monster into a gem!

I'd like to see you guys read the manga someday. The post anime chapters are really good.

It went a bit quick, but they are using gyo (the technique where you concentrate your nen in your eyes) to see how much power is in the opponent's punching hand, and thus calculate their own defense.

Not necessary at all. It's not like E1 of 1999 is entirely accurate outside of introducing one character. In fact, I'd go the opposite route and say they shouldn't do it at all.

Hey JxJ, I don't know how far in advance you record your reactions so I want to suggest this now before it's too late. I highly recommend watching the 1st episode of the 1999 version of HxH after episode 75 but before episode 76 of the current HxH run. There's some character exposition in that first episode of the 1999 version (which was missing in the 2011 version) that will make episode 76 less confusing and more enjoyable. I saw at least one other reactor do this and it worked out well.

realy good explanation, wanna do it too but i wouldnt be able to make it that clear :)

Jinx's Baby Daddy(Brandon)

Ko is a technique that Gon uses when he punch. It combines Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu, and Gyo to focus all of a user's aura into one body part, making it extremely strong for attack or defense. While Ko greatly increases power and durability in that specific area, it leaves the rest of the body vulnerable. If two users use Ko, the defensive Ko can block the offensive Ko if their strength is similar. However, if the unprotected part of the body is hit, it can result in serious damage. Because of this risk, Ko is mainly used for offense. Ken is an advanced defensive technique combining Ten and Ren. It involves maintaining Ren for a long time, with about 10 times more aura than during Ten. Ken protects the entire body from attacks, though it can be tiring to sustain. While not as strong as Ko on any specific part, it offers full-body protection and is the best defense against Ko. Ryu is a technique that adjusts aura in real time during Ken. Unlike Ko, which puts 100% of aura into one attack or defense, Ryu redistributes aura by percentages (e.g., 70% to a fist and 30% to the rest of the body). This allows for a balance between offense and defense, making it safer than Ko but less powerful. Mastering Ryu is difficult because it requires precise control of your aura and the ability to gauge your opponent’s aura accurately.
