Man I can’t even begin to explain how much foreshadowing this show has, it is my favorite part of aot and seeing it used in this show made me fall in love with it instantly Can’t wait to see yall’s reaction to the movie, it was that that made me incredibly obsessed with the show

We saw nanami say how domain expansion was something he could never achieve which proves the incredible potential Megumi has. So far out of the sorcerers, we've only seen gojo and Megumi do a domain expansion.

2024-09-17 04:48:36 +0000 UTCI’m so excited about this episode, it has many of my favorite things from this series: unhinged Megumi, Megumi’s past with sprinkles of Gojo being a mentor/a goofy menace lol, my favorite brothers (the curses fighting Yuji and Nobara), and everyone clowning on Megs in the Jujutsu Stroll lol. As for the thing with Megumi’s past/family, Tsumiki is his step-sister. I won’t spoil anything bc some things get explained later on, but Megumi’s dad went to “get milk” with Tsumiki’s mom. The children were left on their own but a younger Gojo step in to save the day….kinda. Megumi was sold to the Zenin clan because he has an Inherited Technique with Ten Shadow, which I believe was revealed by Noritoshi before. Inherited Techniques are specific and very powerful Cursed Techniques that belong to certain families or clans in the Jujutsu world. (Yes, I did copy that definition thx Game Rant and Google.) But it’s similar to Noritoshi being chosen as the next heir for them Kamo clan bc he has an Inherited Technique with Blood Manipulation despite his mother not being his father’s wife. Clans prefer to keep powerful techniques (unlike Mai and Maki) but truly value Inherited Techniques. But Gojo is also a big member in his clan, the Gojo clan, so he would have enough sway and pull to cancel the sell of Megumi. Sorry for my long comment/rabbling, bc I’ll definitely be leaving another one on the next episode 😅. But rambling is a big reason I never got far in my very short (not really existent) writing career lol. But my little brothers are pushing me to get back into writing so maybe one day I’ll finally finish something.

2024-09-17 00:02:44 +0000 UTCWait, I somehow totally forgot that I was watching your JJK reactions 😅🤣 But excited that the entire first season is done now, because a) Season 2 is (supposed to be xD) epic and b) because I didn't quite understand this (I think this is the Cursed Womb arc, right?) story arc on my first watch or reading through summaries to understand it, but I just KNOW that I'll get it when I watch your reactions and then my boyfriend will hopefully be able to stop annoying me about continuing JJK xD (it's hard for me to watch smth when I haven't fully understood whatever happened before 😅🤣)

So, first of all, as Megumi said, it's an incomplete domain because of his inexperience. You have to remember that, aside from Gojo, out of all the staff and the students of Jujutsu High, be it Tokyo or Kyoto, he is the only one who has a domain (and he's a first year !), so it's still an immense feat. Because his domain is incomplete, the must-hit effect of Domain Expansion doesn't apply here. Megumi's domain traps the target inside his shadow where he can manifest multiple shikigami (for example, multiple versions of Nue), enhancing his Ten Shadows Technique. Aside from creating more shikigami, it grants Megumi advanced manipulation of all available shadows. After suffering what appeared to be a fatal blow, he was able to fake out the curse with a shadow double. He was in fact hiding with his Demon Dog in the curse's shadow and dealt the killing blow from behind. I absolutely loved this, the fact that he was using his improved shadow manipulation abilities in new imaginative ways even though his domain is incomplete. As Sukuna said it : "Good! That's good!" 😈😈 Sorry for the long comment, you know how it goes when explaining techniques in JJK lol. Can't wait for the movie and Season 2 ! Keep up the good work !

2024-09-16 22:52:03 +0000 UTC2 details I think worth highlighting are: -As explained in the flashback with Gojo training Megumi. Megumi’s trump card sacrifices his own life. Meaning, Megumi has almost sacrificed himself to win against 1. Sukuna 2. Todo 3. Hanami 4. Finger cursed spirit. What I concluded off this was Megumi’s self-worth (in terms of his life) is extremely low. Basically at any point in the series he is willing to die at the drop of a hat to save the people he deems as worthy of saving. - Domain Expansion is the pinnacle of jujutsu. In the previously mentioned flashback Gojo tells Megumi that with his current mindset he wouldn’t even surpass Nanami. Megumi opening his Domain Expansion, although incomplete, is not something Nanami can replicate, so in a way he has just surpassed him. Side note: Megumi ordering Yuji to “Prioritize Kugisaki” or telling Yuji and Nobara to go home after the mission’s rank elevated is because of the same mindset that if all else fails, only he has to die.

I love Megumi's introspection, I love how well this episode has highlighted his growth as a sorcerer. As always, thanks for these guys.
