first time viewer jordan, im honestly pretty glad that you said that ging's actions are kind of offputting. because when i heard ging's message welcoming gon to the game i got kind of annoyed LOL. i dont have a good impression of ging at all, and from the very little that we've heard of him, from gon, mito san, and ging himself, i dont like him. he seems like an awful parent. im just glad that gon hasnt shown any resentment toward his dad (so far) and is more so curious to find him. i guess that is a lot better than holding a grudge or feeling negatively toward his father.

2024-09-13 08:27:34 +0000 UTCYes guys Ging is a VERY frustrating character.. especially when you have his son Gon, who is the sweetest kid you've ever seen. As far as I can understand his character, I think Ging knows that Gon has only begun his journey as a Hunter and there would be many many hard challenges for him ahead.. so he is just preparing his son in his own "fatherly" way I guess XD Also what Melody said about Leorio having the most warm and soothing heartbeat in the whole city says A LOT about who he really is as a person! He isn't in the big 4 for no reason :)

2024-09-12 22:06:30 +0000 UTCAs a HxH veteran who first started watching HxH in 2013 or so, this anime doesn't get old, especially when you're watching along with first time viewers. HxH 2011 is just a really good adaption of an even better manga. It that has aged really gracefully. It still looks better than some modern anime that are being produced more than a decade later.

And oh, if you're wondering if the OP/EDs have spoilers the answer is always yes :( that's why I never recommend viewers to watch them. Well at least until they're further in the arc. But for some HxH fans they don't count as spoilers. Not sure why but it is what it is.
