I'd also like to add that Kurapika trusts his friends and believes in their sincerity whole-heartedly (pun intended lol), that he doesn't mind sharing and risking his biggest secrets with them. He mentions that even if they were to reveal him - whether through Pakunoda's abilitiy, Feitan's torture, they give it up to save themselves or whatever - he will have no regrets, he wouldn't begrudge or blame them. I think that's a glimpse into Kurapika that's not shown often. He's always had a solo air about him, even as he made friends you still got the sense that he wouldn't mind being on his own, and heck he even killed Uvo with no assists! But here, he's willing to accept his friends' help.

Man these fortunes really test your literature and language arts skills! These were my favorite subjects in school so i immediately went to deciphering the poems when i first watched 🀣 They essentially tell you how the arc will or could unfold based on the decisions of the characters. It's such a creative concept.

When I watched HxH for the first time ever, anything Hisoka did that I didn't understand or wasn't explained at first I chalked up to ~*magic*~ (magic here being his Nen powers). He IS a magician after all, so sleight of hand is like child's play to him. It's like what Machi mentioned after she patched him up after the Kastro fight, his Nen abilities are so perfectly suited for him. It allows him to be so crafty and mask his actions and motives. He's a top tier shit stirrer in usually the most clever way and that's why he's a fave character of mine! ⭐️^_^πŸ’§ Also this episode is a great example of the main four's friendship and loyalty. You already know Gon is the ultimate ride or die, but then you also get Killua and Leorio, who are usually more practical about things and "stepped out", coming back to say that they're all in this together, they should all share the same fate and ask for the Nen blades as well. β€οΈπŸ—‘

Hisoka had two main objectives with his fake fortune: 1. His main objective was for the Phantom Troupe to stay in York New. He didn't want them to be able to avoid their original fortunes and leave York New. This would give him the opportunity to fight Chrollo. You might recall that it was stated that once a job was done, they would usually go their separate ways. Chrollo in particular would disappear without a trace after a job was done. Hisoka was simply trying to prevent that, cause he had no idea when he would see Chrollo again and thus, be able to fight him. 2. Get the heat off him. His real fortune implicated him as a traitor. You might want to reread his real fortune cause it implicated him as a traitor multiple times (for example, called him a "false 4th moon" which would be torn away from the calendar). He kept some information in just to make it seem realistic and to work with his main objective of keeping the Troupe in York New. He essentially changed the fortune enough to make it seem like he was a traitor due to force and unwillingly gave up information (the made up "Sword of Law" stuff), instead of a traitor by choice (which he actually is). He's been masquerading as a troupe member from the beginning. I hope this makes Hisoka's motivations more clear. PS: I feel like I've been writing an essay's worth of clarifications for this arc so I hope ya'll are giving it a read :P. I guess I took it for granted that there is a lot of subplots going on at the same time, and each character has their own perspectives and personal goals. It may be hard to keep track but you guys are doing a good job so far :)
