HxH - Ep. 54 REACTION! *ALL PATRONS*

Comments

I actually have never even thought about it being related to the nen personality thing wow, but since he is like one of the main characters it’s the most obvious when he does it

Fiona

Poeple who live solely for vengance tend to become completly empty until they got their revange, they often sacrifice evrything for their goal, so once its done, they dont have anymore reason to leave, they become empty shell, so when the narator said "Kurapika is now drawning in indescriptable emptiness" it was a confirmation than Kurapika believed the death of the fantom troupe (also Hisoka callig him, ended up in a busy line unable to reach him and saying "i was hoping to offer reconfort" (wich mean tell him the body where fake) was also another clue Kurapika was believed it, and it was the reason it was so down :) its a weird paradoxe when we think about it, the fantom troupe is to kurapika, his reason to live, his goal his purpose, he want them dead yet learning about their death destroy him, making him completly empty...

he is not the only one tbh, Hisoka tend to change outfits too for exemple but yes only transmuter do it, an other thing who match the personality/nen thing acording to Hisoka, tansmuter tend to get bored and like the change x)

yep some poeple tend to only watch thing trhough their own persepective, but for the troupe point on view they never knew for sure if Uvo was dead, this was just speculation since he fail to return :x

Hisoka being top tier shit stirrer lol

To be fair, the verses he made up were not as elegant as the other verses, but still respected cadance.

Hey Doubled J, If I remember correctly, there used to be 13 months in a calendar year before it changed to 12. I can't recall what it was called, but this is the first thing I think about when I hear this fortune. Each member of the Phantom Troupe is a number 0-12(13). It's sad Neon got her power stolen. It got me thinking about how her Dad has been using her for his own selfish profit. Crazy how the whole atmosphere in the room changed when Kirupika got that text from Hisoka. Then another atmosphere change when the troupe heard Hisoka's "fortune". I love everything about HxH. Sorry for the babble. Enjoyed another great reaction. As always, I appreciate ya'll.

One of my favorite things about Killua is the fact that he changes his outfit multiple times throughout the show while everyone else just has their one outfit lol

Specially keeping it within the parameters of a verse that the fortunes are supposed to be, revealing enough truth and keeping his secrets safe, just a mad genius!!

Hisoka is so smart for changing that fortune so fast

villy nelle

I think it's safe now to point out that when Chrollo shed a tear, it was due to sadness. The fortune confirmed what happened to Uvo. Uvo had died, and the fortune was the verification that Chrollo was looking for. It might be enlightening to watch the scene again where Chrollo reads the fortune for the first time. And it's also interesting to point out that Chrollo was in the process of stealing Neon's power at the time. When Chrollo knocked Neon out, he emphasized the need for her to have an ambulance, and he also told the Troupe later to leave that ambulance alone while they were going "absolutely crazy". It confirmed that he had already stolen Neon's powers, and that he needed her safe and alive so that he can continue to use her powers in the future.

Canary was also from Meteor City as mentioned during the Zoldyck arc. The baby scene in Meteor City was further emphasizing Leorio's description of Meteor City. The residents accept everything that's left there including abandoned children. When you learn that the Phantom Troupe are all from there, it hints that they were all unwanted, abandoned or orphaned children who were basically thrown away in a dump. The flashback in the beginning of the episode was Chrollo and possibly future Phantom Troupe members seemingly being happy kids, just playing and having fun despite the terrible living conditions they grew up in. You're correct that Meteor City is an essential location that gets more explained later, and even your point about how the true story of Meteor City may make the Phantom Troupe seem more sympathetic is a really cool prediction. But to find out more, you'd need to watch more of the anime and eventually read the manga cause anything more is an unnecessary spoiler!
