At a con in September I got an awesome pic with two Cosplayers as Nanami and Mahito (I was Ruri from Dr. Stone xD) and it's probably my favourite, because it's the only one where I had any idea for a pose (I was like "hmmm, maybe we could pose like you're trying to protect me from Mahito" and on most of the pictures, we were all laughing way too much xD) and it was also like the end of the day, so we were all a little worn out and a bit crazy xD Unfortunately I got a huge spoiler because of that π Because obviously I tagged them when I posted it and followed them and soon after they posted a certain Cosplay pic with the caption "if you know, you know" but it was way too obvious and it still annoys me π π€£ But by now I know SO many JJK spoilers, I barely care anymore (and I haven't even watched the Shibuya incident yet.... Unfortunately it's difficult to avoid spoilers depending on what content you engage with... I've finished the entire My Hero Academia manga, so my recommendations are way too many JJK manga videos with spoilery titles ππ)

I haven't read the manga, but of the characters I've seen, they seem to really lean into it more with their character than some of the others and I love that they did, especially as an agender person myself.

2024-09-08 21:38:49 +0000 UTCI haven't watched a lot of team battle type Shounen (or whatever the subgenre of Shounen this is), but this anime definitely uses some of the tropes. The four main character, "team," layout. Gojo and his students, really reminds me of earlier Naruto. Though as the show goes on it builds into something of it's own and feels less like a twist on tropes. But, I also say this as someone who hasn't watched a lot, so I might be wrong. It feels very different, and in good ways. I agree with the previous comments, the first season is good, but this anime definitely gets better. Having recently caught up with the anime, I'm definitely excited for your future reactions.

But two things to mention that I personally find somewhat important; one, Hanami being a cursed spirit is typically referred to as she and some times a they (since cursed spirits donβt really have genders.) And two, back in episode 8, when Todo asks Megumiβs type Megs says βAs long as that person has an unshakable character.β The official anime translator changed it to βsheβ and got kinda weird about it. But Megumi responds with a genderless response, bc in Japanese they donβt use pronouns as much as we do in English. Sorry, but as a queer man myself, I like for even the notion of representation in media (since JJK is a little queer-coded) or just proper translations/subtitles. But on a less rant-y note, Todo used Boogie Woogie to get Makiβs 3 section staff, Playful Cloud. I think yall confused Maki for Nobara, but I get it, thereβs a LOT of names. I got confused a lot my first time watching, too. The Tokyo girls are definitely my favorites, their fighting styles seem to be rougher and more aggressive. I like to say that makes them stronger and more effective as sorcerers. Plus more onscreen time with Nanami, my husband, is always the best part of any episode. Iβm a big Nanami simp ππ Unrelated, but Iβm growing out my hair so I can cosplay the blonde ponytail guy with the hand sword. Probably about 4 inches more and Iβm there. I like his design and the sword looks fun to make. But definitely a fan of yallβs reactions, I like to watch while I cook, draw, or right before bed since I find your voices relaxing. The Boogie Woogie at the end was the perfect cherry on top lol.

2024-09-02 17:48:28 +0000 UTCMy favorite aspect of JJK is the reversal of the overpowered enemy trope thatβs present in nearly every other shonen anime. Almost always the stories revolve around underdog heroes that must defeat a nearly invincible enemy. In JJK, Gojo is that near invincible character, and itβs actually the enemies that need to create complex plans to defeat him. And if he shows up at all, they all immediately retreat. Itβs a very interesting reversal of the typical plot that in my opinion is JJKβs greatest strength.

He's an ARMY too, I knew it lol ππ (J&J, Cheryl and fox will get what I mean π€) The cursed tool swapped with Yuji was the weapon that Maki was using while fighting Hanami (who's a girl too btw, coz you kept saying "he"). Then Fushiguro whispered to Todo that it was in the riverbed while he's being taken away by Panda. He told Todo that the special grade tool can damage Hanami's horns. You'll find out more about that woman that Todo met in the JJK 0 The Movie π Thanks for this reaction my FAVE brothers and for revealing your technique to us. Y'all can just sit there, do nothing and tell me that you did a boogie woogie to swap places and I'll gladly believe coz you two look alike anyways π€ See you next week, excited to get near the end of the season too!
