“Pandash!” Every time I hear that I’m reminded of my little brother. Panda is his favorite character, so he after he watched this episode he’d say that while holding our younger brothers. He was like 13 running around yelling that 😂 But my favorite part is Megumi’s “If you die again, I’ll kill you myself.” Megumi is a pretty pessimistic guy and Yuji is like a ball of sunshine. He just got Yuji back and he’s genuinely scared he’s about to lose his friend again. The way this scene is directed/animated pangs the heart just right, in my opinion. The quick lil flashback to Yuji’s somewhat-last words to Megumi. In each instance he’s asking Megumi to trust that he’ll come back from doing something VERY dangerous, the first time didn’t play out so well. It’s a scene that doesn’t feel that important, but it’s one of my favorite scenes in the show.

2024-09-02 21:02:50 +0000 UTCMahito is so Hisoka coded and I love it. In this episode he says, "Before I knew it, i was tricking, deceiving, and murdering. And before I knew it, I felt fulfilled." All I could picture in my head was Hisoka and Mahito being murder besties who ultimately betray each other just for the fun of it. I'd watch that crossover in a heartbeat.
