Mann the life Junpei could’ve had😭😭 Mahito gotta go

I felt so gaslighted seeing junpei in the opening being happy with yuji and then this happens.

I was trying to keep myself from watching this episode bcos I know I'm gonna get emotional 😒 Junpei could've lived better had he become friends with Yuji and the others. Another life wasted and taken unfairly by an evil cursed spirit. I'm so mad πŸ’’ and sad πŸ˜” Mahito will remain to be my most hated character amongst all animes ever, like as in ever 😀

What I understood from this episode is that Yuji since he swallowed Sukunas finger he has another soul within him, it's like having a roommate to your house so he understands more about souls than anybody else except Mahito without even realising it, that's why every time he hits Mahito he can hit his soul truly damaging him, explaining why he was bleeding from his nose and that's also why Nanami cannot hurt him whatsoever. In addition Namami asked Yuji if mahito touched him because he knows Mahito's technique idle transfiguration can change the shape of anybody's soul by simply touching them. Then Nanami theorizes that Mahito either cannot do it on Yuji or doesn't want to kill him. I think the answer is somewhat in the middle because Mahito doesn't want to kill him since Sukuna would die too but he cannot really use it either because Yuji's body has two souls and by trying to touch his soul you're also touching Sukuna's soul which as we saw is a grave mistake. Something else that you might have missed is that yoshino's squid poison attack didn't work on Yuji because of Sukuna as he is immune to all kinds of poison. Another great reaction as always. I'm rewatching the show right now and if you think this is a really good season you are just not ready for the next season (also it's necessary that you watch the movie jujutsu kaisen 0 after you finish season 1 to help you with season 2).

That black and white visual of Yuuji's rage and devastation erupting as he vows to kill Mahito is one of my favorite things from season one. That scene was perfectly executed and it hits every single time I watch it. It's one of my core memories from my first watch of this show.

i was a combo of both lol. like yay mahito doing mahito things and sukuna just being sukuna! im always here for that. the other half of me was conflicted and sad lol

😩 It hurts a lot. I keep telling myself to not get attached to non main characters in shows to avoid pain but I end up liking them and getting hurt.

"He struck the shape of my soul" sounds like lyrics from every emo band in history πŸ˜‚

you're so right 😭😭 because of the intro I thought Junpei and Yuji will both make it out alive and become best buds in jujutsu high.. I'm so devastated πŸ’”

Most viewers watching junpei die:😰πŸ˜₯ Me, mahito, and sukuna watching junpei die:🀣🀣 I don't freak out over characters dying or get mad when villans do villan shit, so seeing other people react to these scenes is always fun

this is the episode where i was like "oh, it really be like that then?" because i was told this anime would upset me, and then it did.

God this sh*t hurts my feelings so bad every time I see it

This episode messed me up the first time I watched it. Despite having watched numerous shows with heartbreaking moments before, I was not prepared for the emotional impact this one had on me. The scene where Junpei is shown in the opening, hanging out with the other sorcerers and Itadori, was a painful misdirection. I liked Junpei's character, and I believe his dynamic with the other first-year students could have added an interesting layer to the story. When I first saw him getting disfigured, I was in disbelief, hoping it was not real. What do you guys think about the potential storyline if he had not met such a tragic end? The writer's misdirection was cruel, catching me off guard. I was excited about the idea of Junpei joining Jujutsu High, and his friendship with Itadori was heartwarming for that short time.
