The reason why they let others come in and don't just randomly attack strangers or visitors unless threatened.. is that because they don't want to start a fight from outsiders that they dont know about. If you came peacefully, its fine but if the Zoldyck or butlers felt your malicious intent you die.

2024-09-02 02:26:04 +0000 UTC30:48 - okay i spoke too soon lol. i hope killua gets to follow his own path and his family doesnt come back to bother him and his friends... also just my thoughts, but maybe killua's mom didnt think to challenge killua bc of what ilumi had told him before during the exam, that they know not to fight someone that is stronger than them/they know they will lose to. maybe killua is even stronger than his mom?

2024-08-28 06:29:49 +0000 UTCthe fact they cant tell it's a flash back by locking the character kill me, (in a good way) Killua and Canary look WAY younger to me in the flash back, so i never ever wonder if it was a flashback (or even think it could be an issue for someone), always funny to see the strugle of people who is not use to anime yet, a nice remember than thing who seems obvious to someone can be complicated for another x)

2024-08-05 00:18:48 +0000 UTCanime spoiler ahead: to me "He will come back one day because he is my son." from Silva is the same as Gin knowing is son will become a hunter and play greed island ect, kinda "Gon will follow my step because he is my son" but it's more a hunch (maybe even a hope) than an actual certitude... anyway it's only my take on them but while it make sens for Illumi who belng to the manipulation categoris to do that kind of thing is less the thing of someone like SIlva who seems to belong to the Emission categoris, that being said, exeptin does exist and everyone doesnt follow the cliché who come with their nen categoris/personality but i still believe that is ur personality who influence the nen catetoris you fall into and not the oposite

2024-08-05 00:14:40 +0000 UTCi mean i get both way of intrepret it and i'm still open at the both (wholesome one and manipulation one) since we cant know for sure if Silva was acting like that for manipulation purpose only or if he was genuine, since he seems certain Killua will come back eventualy, if its certitude is guenuione he dont have to try any manipulation, but he could be possible than the manipulation part is the reason he is confident about the fact he would comeback... Spoiler ahead (dont read it if you have not finish the anime yet): personaly i dont think he was doing this for manipulation purpose since, it doesnt seems to be is personality for what we've seen of him in the anime, also Illumi nen type is a manipulator, wich match is personality, but Silva seems to be an emitor, manipulation is less they thing even if there is always exeption in the world of HxH and everyone doesnt follow the cliché personality/nen type shema ^^ also we know he end up being wrong, since in the anime at least (i've not read the manga pass chimera arc) Killua never come back to the Zoldic, exept to get his sister back, wich will make him a relativly bad manipulator, i think he just "know it" (or maybe hope ?) the same way Gin knew is son would most likely become a hunter and do greed island ect... but once again i can be wrong and both seems plausible to me, so i wouldnt bet anything of any of these hypotesis, as i said first, we cant know for sure :)

2024-08-04 18:49:19 +0000 UTCIllumi 100% gets his manipulation skills from his father lol. My personal take on Silva is that he does not care about Killua's hopes or desires. He puts on the fatherly act to extract intel and play into Killua's want for normalcy so that he can use his good relationship with his son to his advantage. "He will come back one day because he is my son." Reads to me like Silva thinks killua will break the promise that they made, will lose control, betray and probably kill his friends ("return home as an assassin") and then come crawling back to dear old dad, because he has no one else. If Silva believes that Killuas inherited all of his strengths as an assassin, he seems to believe Killua also inherited his unstoppable, indiscriminatory desire to kill. Maybe I'm a little too cynical in my interpretation of Silva's motives haha, the Zoldyck family is just endlessly fascinating. God, I hope Killua proves them all wrong though, so glad he's doing his own thing with Gon now.

At first, we really think we're watching a wholesome moment but as another commenter said he was simply gathering information and now he will bide his time. Killua's mom isn't being controlled, though I do see how that might be the vibe first time watchers get especially when we see how she reacts to whatever information her eye piece thing shows her. She's just that uptight and protective of Killua in her own Zoldyck messed up way.

2024-08-04 00:57:42 +0000 UTCAh The Zoldyck Family, they are one of the reasons that made me even more fascinated with HunterXHunter along with the Phantom Troupe. So just to help you clarify some things, you need to understand that this is not a normal family, the way they live and treat each other is not gonna be the same as normal families do so you have to throw morals and normal empathy away. But i have to say, you can still see the family dynamic in the way they interact with each other: - Silva knows that Killua has the most potential to be the next head of the family hence he doesn't want him to resent them, that is why he let him go and told him some fatherly advice. This way, he won't potentially lose the most talented Zoldyck to be born in history. - The mom is not being manipulated by Silva, she just really wants Killua to remain home and not have friends as she feels that having friends might ruin Killua's road to being the next head (kind of like Gon and the others being bad influence) but at the same time she's also very happy that Killua is becoming even more sinister and fearsome whenever he defies her. Plus, the visor she's wearing is like a device that lets her know everything that's happening within their estate, like a CCTV, probably one of Milluki's inventions. - Zeno is that Grand Father that spoils their favorite grandchild, he also knows Killua's talent which is why he let him go. - Illumi is the eldest child, he is that older brother that tends to look out for their younger siblings. Yes, he's cruel if you look at it from a normal person's standpoint, but he was also raised in the same family and the eldest as that. He's probably been given the duty to look after his younger siblings who are "drifting away" from the family or are getting influenced towards the "wrong path", but i do believe he really cares about Killua, you'll see it in future episodes. - Milluki on the other hand is the 2nd eldest, he's that brother who's always jealous of his more talented siblings for getting more attention than him. Which is why you can see him acting like a mama's boy and agreeing to whatever mama says. He even tried to bad mouth Killua to his grand pa and build himself up, like trying to prove that he's better. Milluki's specialty is his brain, he's the one who creates their weapons for their assassin jobs. - Like any rich families, they always have guards, pets and personal butlers....its just that the Zoldycks take it to another level. Mike is like their pet and guard dog to fight off intruders and trespassers (just like normal families do), Canary is in between as she is still only an apprentice training to be a butler. Butlers are the closest to the family, they are the ones who can directly interact with the family members and for the most part deal with outsiders, you'll learn more soon. - Other points: All the Zoldycks are related by blood, Butlers are not there to eventually be promoted as one of the Zoldycks, they are just butlers. Killua was indeed just letting Milluki punish him to show he's sorry. Only Killua has gray/silver hair similar to his Dad, which only proves furthermore how he's special, we can assume that all the other siblings take after their mom with black hair. Anyway hope this helps! and as usual, great reaction guys! ♥♥♥

2024-08-03 09:31:24 +0000 UTCI’m so glad Canary is okay. Poor Killua, that family is insane. But they’re very interesting characters to say the least. I’m looking forward to learning more about each of them as things go along. Silva….he’s the worst. Killua opened up to him and he’s most definitely gonna back stab him. It’s sad because Killua thinks his father has let him go but he’s clearly planning something. I wanna see more about Killua’s sister, too. She seems like she’s kind like her brother and doesn’t want to be a killer. I hope she’s able to escape her mother at some point. Speaking of the mother, she might not even be in it like that. She’s most definitely skilled and is still an assassin, but she’s being controlled so she probably doesn’t want to be this way either. At least not towards her kids. I’m eager to see more about the Zoldycks as scary as they are. Not my crew. I hope they don’t miss each other. I’m ready for a reunion

2024-08-03 03:16:48 +0000 UTCSilva is definitely a character! I think he is manipulating Killua, and in a way, the audience. The phrase, “know your enemy,” is what Silva is going by. He’s asking Killua about his enemy (Kil’s friends). In doing so, he found out that Gon is stubborn which can potentially be used against Killua. However, he also genuinely thinks that Killua will come back home. He’s hoping that blood truly is stronger than water.
