2024-08-07 03:43:08 +0000 UTCAhhh! Finally caught up on Haikyu!! after a three-week, most memorable vacay in South Korea and Japan. I just want to say but for anime, all but for anime. Look how it’s changed our lives! But for anime you wouldn’t be pumping your fists, hollering, and purposely tuning into the Olympics for an entirely new sport. But for anime, I wouldn’t have connected to k-dramas and then to BTS and then to a trip to visit both countries. Sooo cool! Manga/anime are simply amazing art mediums. I can’t count how many times Haikyu!! reduces me to tears, but Tsuki’s arc in Ep. 4 always does it for me. His block story-line is so beautifully told with the halo around the moon in the sky outside the gym, to his self-reflective words, to his fist pump and holler, to his leadership in the huddle, to the growing confidence in him and affection for him by his teammates.💗💗😭😭💗💗 Also, I think you missed this season’s title. Give a quick rewatch to the opening of S3 Ep1 and the whole season’s title is there. The title is a good clue for how this season progresses. Referring back to your experiences officiating kids’ basketball, I hear you! As an AD, the lion’s share of my athletic supervision is spent monitoring sportsmanship in the stands and on the benches. Thankfully, it’s only a few times a year that necessitate major intervention. Only called the cops once last year and only had to have one of my parents complete a mandatory online sportsmanship class before they were allowed back in the gym.😉 My favorite tale from last year was a parent who was pissed enough at me they hate-venmoed our sports program $200 in my name with a nasty message in the “What’s this for?” section.🤣

The women’s indoor volleyball match at the Olympics between the USA and Serbia was heated UP. On the men’s side, the match between Poland and Brazil had some of the most intense battles at the net ever. Just in case you guys wanted to check out some more amazing highlights you might not have seen!

You see in Manga and Anime the concepts of Tsundere boyfriend or Yandere Girlfriend and vice versa. Tsundere is someone who gives off black cat energy, cold harsh on the outside but there is some hidden softness there. Whereas, Yandere is more of a golden retriever energy: always following you around, hungry for your validation etc... Hope that helps. P.S: This episode made my love for Tsukki shoot up to +1000% ❤️

This is someone who is presented initially in the show as more or less an antagonist to kageyama and hinata and they way Furudate ever so slowly over the course of THREE seasons has been inching and inching forward tsukki’s growth to have it culminate in such a cathartic moment is huge. Haha you can’t help but be disappointed when you have a cutaway to a flashback scene but the moment it clicks and you realize what it was all building up to… so so worth it. My personal favorite moment of the series ❤️

Also not only do Semi and Suga look alike they are both also 3rd years setters, both are pinch servers, and they both also come on for two setter attacks and just to shake things up and make a difference for the team. The author of Haikyuu Haruichi Furudate made those similarities between Semi and Suga on purpose just like he made the similarities between Oikawa and Suga.(The ones I messaged you at the end of season 1)

2024-08-02 01:36:41 +0000 UTC“This is just a club.” Do you guys remember when tsukki was questioning why everyone else tried so hard at volleyball when it was “just a club?” Why would you give your all to something when it will all come to an end someday? So for him to say that and then for the flashback to hit “and that will be the moment you will be hooked on volleyball,” just goes to show that it wasn’t just a club for him anymore. Volleyball became much more than that. A passion…. something I think Tsukki was scared of - being passionate about something because of the fear of disappointment. Based on his reaction to that one block, I think it’s fair to say that Tsukki is not scared anymore. This is one of my favorite moments in the entire Haikyuu series. Back in the day, I used to go back to this block when I needed to get pumped up for softball games lol! You gotta love it!

Love this episode and the encouragement and recognition all his teammates give him, even when Tsuki himself is playing it down and saying it's only one point, objectively it is just one point, but a very important and impressive one. GO TSUKI!!! J&J I'm so glad you were able to immerse yourselves in Haikyuu and enjoy Tsuki's moment too. Love from Colombia ❤️

You guys have seen Suga of BTS described as “tsundere”, someone who appears to be harsh, cold in their demeanour but is warm and caring inside. I don’t think you would have made it if they hadn’t taken the set in this episode lol. Patience guys, patience.

I loved that moment, and it wasn't solely due to the block but rather the genuine excitement Tsukki displayed. It was gratifying to observe Tsukki's different emotions; he is typically composed and soft-spoken, with the exception of the time he raised his voice during the poignant scene with Yamaguchi at the training camp. This ranks among my top five moments in the anime. Do you believe he will successfully block Ushijima again, and if so, how many times do you anticipate he will achieve this?
