Haikyuu!! 2x24 REACTION!

Comments

You know the more I watch your reactions the more I cannot wait till you watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. There are several scenes (several episodes actually) that I am dying for you to see.

It's so fun to see you guys having anxiety during this match 🤣🤣🤣 I had the exact same anxiety with my hands sweating on my first watch 🤣

mamimumemo

Fun fact: I dont know if you guys noticed, but the animation of the camera angle pointing upward near Kageyama’s feet when Kageyama sets to Hinata to get the final point of the match is the same animation used in season 1 in the last match of Seijoh vs. Karasuno where Kageyama sets to Hinata the same exact way with the same exact movement and camera position, but Hinata gets blocked which gives Seijoh the victory over Karasuno. So both games of Seijoh vs. Karasuno ended with the same play, but with a different result.

Dumbo

Mine too!! I wonder if it’s the same one, obviously no spoilers 😏🤫🤐

I think you guys were a bit perplexed by oikawa saying that kageyama is only concentrating and not seeing the players around him to check if anyone is keeping up. In this moment, oikawa is talking to kindaichi, his fellow player who knew Kageyama as the lonely king in grade school. Back then, they knew him as a player who did what HE thought was best to win the point, rather than consider the capabilities of his teammates. The kageyama that we know now both 1) has players he can reliably trust to keep up with his skill level and 2) will work together with his team to win rather than determine his own solo path forward and hope everyone else can match it. (For example, he worked very hard to change his own tosses so that hinata could battle in the air like he wanted. The old kageyema certainly would never have considered doing such a thing) The flashback they showed was to when kageyema set the ball in grade school and his teammates refused to hit the ball out of protest. I am so proud of his growth 🥰

Oikawa's last high school toss being to Iwaizumi, his best friend since childhood is so fitting and so moving, as well as his realization that he's limiting himself by thinking he's gonna lose eventually to Kageyama (or Ushiwaka for that matter) simply because they're naturally gifted. He realizes in that moment that he's not limited by anything, and shouldn't believe himself to be and that's beautiful (there's also a lot to discuss regarding the hard work vs natural talent themes, but i don't wanna do that right now because I have an opinion that would spoil some plot points from season four onwards). anyway, Oikawa is actually my favorite character in the anime and Iwaizumi/Oikawa are my second favorite duo after Kageyama/Hinata, and Aoba Johsai is actually my favorite team alongside Karasuno so i truly truly understand y'all lmao. i was %100 rooting for them here to be honest 😭 also Iwaizumi's receives this match (yes, he's #4!) and Oikawa's serve were insanity. even Hinata was mesmerized by those plays in the moments they focus on him, which i loved. I hope you guys are reacting to the Aoba Johsai special ending, it's such an amazing scene and incredibly heartwarming, you NEED to watch it! 🫶

I don't really know, I'm new to the patreon, maybe someone did

!!!! has anyone linked them to it?? i need them to react to that so bad

So glad this came out after my final japanese exam, it’s like a reward, so thank you both. The final point of this game is probably my favourite out of any haikyuu match to be honest, or at least top 2. It’s so intense you almost forget to breathe. Oikawas toss to Iwaizumi gives me chills every time. If there’s one thing haikyuu knows how to do, it’s make you feel like the game really matters, like you’re watching your own team in a final. Speaking of which, my country (England) is playing in the Euro finals this weekend. When I watched them in the previous match and it came down to the final moments, I think I felt a similar feeling to how I felt watching some of these Haikyuu games. No spoilers, but there’s some later matches where the last point had me even more shocked and excited than when I watch England play. God I love Haikyuu. Season 3 let’s go!

Ooooh even more great volleyball to get from here ! I love every single season, but S3 has my single favorite moment of the series so far, looking forward to it 🥰

taetaebear01 (Lindsey E.)

How cool would that be for all of us to be first time watchers when the next season or movie of Haikyuu comes out! I can’t wait!

Charaety

I’m glad we’ll get to see more of them! It gets better 😆

Charaety

If this was one hell of a match for you guys, i CANT WAIT for you to watch season 3. its only 10 episodes but it’s probably the best match in the whole anime and you’ll find out why

Elina

What a great ep 👏🏻

Badriya

While what has been animated only covers high school, do not despair. If you’re ever interested, the manga and its ancillary content cover what happens to each player post-high school. Some players go into the workforce, some go to college, some go pro, and some even play in the Olympics. It’s super entertaining to see how players’ paths cross post-high school. Thanks, J&J. Anxious for you to spend time with some new characters in S3. Lesssggoooo, Karasuno!!!

antionette7

I saw how you guys were struggling with who to root for I get goosebumbs everytime I watch the final point. Now you know why this episode (#24) is my favourite episode of all time in the Haikyuu series

We love Haikyuu!! Thursdays

Angélica Hernández

Hello J&J, I just gotta say, before Haikyuu Thursdays with you guys, Thursday was just another day and now it's become my favorite day of the week. I love that you guys get truly invested in the story and the characters and I also love that you have noticed how great the OST is, it really makes the show even more compelling and enthralling. Just so you know Haikyuu anime is still not completed so when you finish the movie that just came out, you will need to wait patiently with us for what's next. Thank you for your amazing content as always! Love from Colombia! ❤️

Angélica Hernández

You guys really should take another listen to the lesson at 24:10, it might be some of the greatest advice I've heard in a series. More than anything, it IS the message of Haikyuu. Talent is something you make bloom, instinct is something you polish.

Jake Thompson

I was just as invested in watching them as I was the match itself 🤣

It hurts knowing that each person has limitations to how much they can do. Everyone is different therefore each person has their own threshold of abilities/skills despite how much you practice. Unlike Kageyama who is a natural born genius setter which 'genius' in of itself is a skill that can't be obtained through practice but just by being born with it. That's why Oikawa feels slightly frustrated that he can't beat geniuses cause he wasn't born one but Kageyama and Ushijima are. Oikawa has always known that Kageyama will beat him one day but despite that, Oikawa did not give up in training to reach his maximum potential. That was what the flashback of a coach talking to oikawa about. The coach questioned him if he has done all he can to improve in terms of skill, technique, stamina, physical strength and basically every aspect of himself that he has control over to reach his 100% threshold. I think that flash back was when Oikawa was in a slump and has just lost to Ushijima. So it was definitely easier to blame his loss with the fact that Ushijima was a genius player but Oikawa didn't run away and made sure he honed every other skill so that he could one day use the 'excuse' that he lost because of a genius player and not because he wasn't good enough. But knowing Oikawa, he will still not use that excuse. I really admire his self-awareness and confidence because of this. For a true sportsman like him who is extremely passionate about volleyball, one could easily get depressed when you can't beat gifted people after doing your 100% but he didn't.

Watching whatever came out of you guys this episode gave me more anxiety than the actual episode 😂 I didn’t realize my hands were clenching my phone so tight until it was over. One of my favorite reactions so far! I love how invested you guys are into volleyball! You definitely need to stay strapped in. We’ve got more seasons and a movie to come! Hooray for Haikyuu Thursdays! 🙌🏽

Charaety

Y'all really experiencing the struggle that is "who do I cheer for?" In Haikyu 😂 Oikawa is such a perfect rival, I enjoy him very much. I also wanna say, I do usually watch all your videos while I work, and today y'all distracted me sooo much 😂😂 your excitement and anxiety is really contagious 😅 The season finale of 2 and opening episode of 3 go well together I think so I hope you jump right into 3 next week 🥰 sometimes you'll say something and I wanna be like "!!!!!!" But I don't wanna spoil anything 😂😂
