Hey J & J, I’ve been binge watching your reactions for about three weeks now. Don’t know how I made it this far but I finally caught up with you guys. Episode 22 by far my favorite episode. I see incredible talent and growth amongst the team. Mad Dog kinda scare me if I actually see him on the street. I always enjoyed and loved playing the game of volleyball. Can’t wait for the Olympics. Looking forward to seeing WORLDWIDE HANDSOME Jin carrying the torch while representing South Korea. Love your commentary on each episode keep up the good work. Sending love and appreciation from Charlotte, North Carolina. BORAHAE💜💜💜💜

When I watch Japanese real matches, I always like "This is like Haikyuu!" but then I remind myself that Haikyuu is based on them 🤣

oh, this episode is one of my favorites. i don't know if you noticed, but mad dog actually replying to Oikawa's compliment is a huge deal, cause before the match started he only spoke to Iwaizumi (#4, the ace and Oikawa's best friend) because he only respected Iwaizumi on the team since he's physically stronger than he is, but with that point he changed to respect not only Oikawa, but Yahaba (the guy who spoke to him) and everyone else on the team as well. also, the kindaichi flashback with oikawa is important for a later plot point in the series, but basically if you watch that carefully you see that Oikawa pushed Kindaichi to be better instead of solely accommodating to his habits as a spiker. he made him rise to higher potential instead of just settling. you'll see why that's important later. regarding the sadist comment, suga said oikawa was a sadist because he immediately tossed to mad dog even though he had just gotten back to the match from being emotionally frustrated, which is why he went on to praise him for being able to accommodate mad dog and "dealing" with him and his difficult personality, in a sense. loving the reactions!

Yayyyy I’m so glad you guys liked my Japan clip! I’ll be on the lookout for more stuff to share during the Olympics, for the USA team too!

@taetaebear01 I watch his videos and miss the game so much! I learn a lot, too. So cool to see a day in the life of someone playing at his level. So excited to watch the Olympics. Here’s hoping the men’s team make it to a medal match!🤞🏻

Follow Erik Shoji on TikTok @thelibero (his IG is @erikshoji if you want to follow there, too). Such a great guy! He’s the libero (#22) for the US Men’s National Team and outside those duties, he plays professionally for a team in Poland. His TikTok will help you get to know the US Men’s Team ahead of the Olympics (his first two pinned TikToks have each player introducing themselves). His older brother was a setter for the US Men’s National Team, too. Erik is a Hawaii native, played college ball at Stanford, has a bronze medal from Rio in 2016, and is an all-around nice, talented, entertaining guy. I think you’d really enjoy his TikTok content.
