So on average, having someone pass on their first try only happens once every three years--aka 2/3rds of the time, no first time takers pass at all. The vast majority of people who pass the exam are people who had to try multiple times.

Which means that in the last 15 years, only 5 rookies should have made it to become hunters if you follow the math. P.S. This is just an example to explain how often a rookie passes the exam. We cannot know with an average value how many that has passed in the last 15 years, because the examinations have been going on longer than that. I hope this helped and didn't confuse you more xD

2024-07-10 18:14:39 +0000 UTCThe one dude's arms turning into flower petals was actually some wierd censorship from the animation studio due to the show being in an earlier timeslot on tv in japan, where kids could watch the show, but it doesn't take too much away from the story In the manga, that dude's arms were severed off and he bled to death, thus being the first canidate disqualified Also, hisoka's voice actor is the same as oikawa from haikyuu, and is a fan favorite character in this show. Hopefully, you will like him too
