Solo Leveling 1x5 REACTION!! *OTAKU GOLD*

You’re right! JJK has another season coming next year and probably more after that. Haikyuu! is also unfinished, with one more unannounced movie capping off the series. And Solo Leveling season 2 is coming later this year!

Tanks are members in a party that are supposed to take damage and keep the enemies attention towards them, so if you think about runescape or warcraft a tank would be the person with taunt abilities to force enemies to focus on them and they usually have the highest hit points to be able to take on damage without needing healing. When I played world of warcraft parties were made up of 4 players with an ideal party consisting of the tank(damage taker) 1v1 damage dealer (heavy damage to a single enemy usually one the tank is attacking) AoE Damage dealer ( area of effect damage dealer) they damage multiple enemies at once and usually cast debuffing abilities like slow or poison and a healer which is self explanatory

Just a final thought, that final scene with jinwoo staring at the boss looks so cool, idk why but the fact he's holding a fantasy/mystical weapon but wearing casual real world clothes just looks bad ass to me when you'd think it would look odd, loving this show and the reactions

Anyone else noticed not only has jinwoo body change but did his voice get deeper or is it just me? Also I was a world of warcraft player when it first came out and the level cap was 60 back then and when I stopped playing it had been raised to 150 after many expansion add ons to the game so it's possible jinwoo could reach higher than level 100

I find it so interesting that you connect better with the dub (and clearly there are others who are the same way). For me, I actually think the slight remove of having the voices be in Japanese helps me get into the show better. Anime is so over the top and loud and exaggerated that in English I often find it cheesy and hard to take seriously. Is easier to suspend disbelief for the Japanese precisely because your brain registers the over-acting a little less.

First of all, please research the type of bears you may encounter in a given region 😅 some of them you should stand still, others you should try to scare them off by acting big, others you should try to casually move away etc. don’t do the wrong thing for the wrong kind of bear haha.

Also, side thought. Solo leveling season 2 is confirmed for later this year and, I would pay extra for a live viewing of it

So as someone who plays MMORPGs a lot let me explain what a Tank is. A tank is a role in the party by a character who typically has high armor/defense and health stats. Their role in the party is to stand on the front line and absorb, or “tank”, damage meant for other less defended players. Since I know you guys used to play runescape, the best way to compare would be a Melee player who has high level of Strength, attack and defense and mainly uses full body armour and a weapon and shield, for example full sets of rune armor plus the 2 handed sword or a full set dragon armour and dragon longsword and shield. They mainly do higher damages than others and has higher defense unlike Mages, who will use powerful magic but wears mage robes with less defenses. Tanks typically have very close combat with the monster so that they will receive the most damage while other supporting roles are able to attack from a distance without taking as much damage. I actually love that i can explain it in runescape terms and be sure you would know what I'm talking about (I hope) 😂

Thank you! 😉

happy early bday Angelica!!!

Also, "tanks" is a universal gaming term in mostly multiplayer games or in this case, players working together in dungeons. Tanks have a ton of health/shield and have decent damage, can take a lot of hits, and are usually the "punching bag" for teams. Most of the time they are slower than anyone else in a party, but can really take a hit if needed.

Hello J&J, I hope you are doing well thank you for this reaction, I'm going to take it as an early birthday present, since my birthday is this week, on July 10th. To answer your question, in this type of adventure fantasy anime and manga or manhwa, you will often find these type of hunters, adventurers or heroes characters; in Solo leveling, aside from being ranked by a level, "S,A,B,C,D,E" which is the specific to the amount of "magical energy" they possess, they also have different types of functions within their rank, some of which you have already heard mentioned, like healer, magic wielder, attacker and of course there is the tank, this one focuses on defense and mainly attracts the enemies to him/herself or "taunts" them, like the skill Dongsuk used, to allow the attackers or strikers to defeat the enemy while the attention is distracted by the tank, you can check this on you reaction around 36:05. Some of the skills are self-explanatory like a healer, that can also provide support to the attackers, you saw this in episode 4, or magic welders, like a fire attack on the first episode and so on and so forth, you will kind of get the hang of it as you keep watching and understand the world that is being built. I hope this is helpful, I am in no way an expert, this is just what I've gleaned from many years of watching anime and reading manga. Thank you so much for the amazing content that you always provide us! Greetings and love from Colombia!

As Jin-woo observes from this party, they've been doing this a lot and who KNOWS how many people they've killed or abandoned in a dungeon all so they can get a bigger cut of the prize. The less survivors of a dungeon, the bigger the percentage of payment for each party member. As far as blocking em in the boss room, there are a ton of other tunnels around that haven't been walked through yet leading in and out of the boss room, so this is just the main path blocked in. We as viewers know that Jin-woo is very powerful and capable of winning, but taken into context of what we watched, this party has done this several times before, and they are very confident nonetheless that this D-rank and "E-rank" hunter will "surely" meet their demise so they can collect their prize later.

lol i came back after a day and realized what i thought a tank was was a bit different than the gaming term for a tank so thank goodness for all the knowledgeable people here, i'm learning too 😂 sub vs dub is really all about preference, neither is 'better' than the other. I'm glad you watch both and will sometimes replay dub scenes for us cuz Aleks Le is so great 🥰

You read my mind jared, watching that scene in dub definitely reminded me of Light, you can hear the desperation in their voices, obviously they were two different situations but ultimately Jin and light just wanted to survive in those moments, very cool
