Haikyuu!! 2x21 REACTION!

It's actually amazing to see how much they've progressed in their knowledge of volleyball like they know all the terminology now

wild cards are always interesting to put into play! I'd consider Kenma from Nekoma a calculated wild card, Mad dog is a risky wild card and Hinita is a wild card still in development! Also I love how the more you've watched of the show the more you've come to understand volley ball and actually enjoy the game! In school I used to hate any time we did a sports activity (Especially volley ball) because I would somehow always be hit in the face with the ball... ( Wasn't very good at many sports activities I'm limited to knowledge of Baseball and bowling) but watching this show improved my understanding of volley ball and love for watching the game in general!

it's always so refreshing to the team when suga gets swapped on the court. i don't play volleyball anymore but when i did i was in kageyamas position, i was the starting setter and sometimes things get really stressful on court. but then coach makes the decision to add our teammate that would calm me down. i never usually got too frantic, especially as the captain but sometimes it was too "good" of a game that it was overwhelming. everytime suga steps on court i can only imagine how much better karasuno feels. and that just shows how excellent of teammates they are. while on the other hand kyoutani (mad dog) getting added on the court to seijioh and staying there didn't do anything but stress out all of his teammates.

43:53 - somewhat useless funfact :) if you guys watch the intros, you'll see that after daichi and tanaka's crash into each other, the animators began to include his bruise in the animation! during the gameplay part of karasuno vs. seijoh

riddle

A little trivia: Topspin jump serves by NCAA men’s volleyball players can reach speeds as high as 75 miles per hour.

about the c-quick: i think the terminology theyre using in haikyuu is distinguishing between an a, b and c quick an A quick is about 1 meter to the left of the setter, B quick is just left of the setter, C quick is just behind the setter on the right. as you probably already noticed, there are a lot of different names for all sorts of plays in volleyball. they can be different from country to country and even team to team. at least in the us the a, b and c quick are mostly called a 3 (or 31), 1 and reverse 1. another difference for example is the wipe which is most commonly known as "tooling the block" in north america. for your viewing experience it is more than enough to know the haikyuu lingo. so to answer your question: a c quick is a quick attack just behind the setter on the right

I was so happy to see Suga come in! Even if it was for a short moment, it was impactful. Suga may be on the sideline but he’s always observing, always planning and when it’s his time to come in - he makes the most of it. Seeing him get to celebrate on the court with Daichi and Asahi always makes me happy.

omg LMAOOO hey guys 🫶 i'm a huge belieber too, have been for a long time so i was happy with the jb appreciation there. as for the episode, great reaction as always! #4 on seijoh is iwaizumi, i didn't point him out because he's been pretty prominent since season one since he's oikawa's childhood best friend, the ace on seijoh and one of Kageyama's role models as well, since he's the one he learnt his volleyball philosophy (six strong players are stronger) from. as coach ukai pointed out on this episode, his serves are dangerous and he's a really solid receiver (as you've already noticed by now). fun fact about him, in the manga he's shown to have the same player statistics as ushiwaka, meaning they're probably on par on skill level, iwaizumi is just shorter so ushijima has more of an advantage. and he's the only one mad dog respects at this point because he's so strong he keeps losing to him as pointed out in the beginning lmao, so if you see how strong mad dog is, imagine iwaizumi, and karasuno has already faced him 💀

The Suga sub is essentially like taking out a big for another guard, and starting to play more small ball and using speed and pace to throw the opponent off. Similar to hockey as well, pulling the goalie for another wing where everything is being shifted to swing the momentum and score.
