I agree the Hunter fights are not fake and it was probably a joke in the comment but the Naruto fights will always be better, most lists have multiple Naruto entries as Hunter only has 1 or 2 fights to make lists. 2. The comment states that Naruto teaches you the real-life functions of chakra, it never claimed to be an original concept. 3. What are you talking about? I say this as a huge Naruto fan, Hunter x Hunter has some of the best fighting scenes I have ever seen. You're lying by calling them fake. Also, Naruto's Chakra and Nen are based off the same real life principals. Hunter x Hunter also isn't just based in one area, literally its most famous arc involves travel. I'm not even going to keep going, but it's clear you, like many others, never made it past the first arc if Hunter x Hunter but feel the need to trash it like you know it. Naruto based a LOT of its story/characters after Todashi's works for a reason. He's a master storyteller.

Wonder how you guys will perceive your first shounen anime seeing how all of these animes in the list are shounen (for your information, "shounen" directly translated to pre-teen boys, and is also used as a genre name in anime. So basically a shounen anime is an anime targeted for pre-teens). I'm not saying there's anything wrong with enjoying shounen anime despite not being a pre teen, but I believe it'll be a difficult watch because our matured brains wouldn't be able to enjoy a lot of stuff our pre-teen brain would've. So it'll be interesting to see how well you guys are gonna receive your first shounen.

I think it is a little to early for you to start series that are this long I think you should watch frieren: beyond journeys end specially after just finishing aot and death note and while watching solo leveling frieren would be a nice change of pace as it is a more charecter driven show it is in my top 3 fav anime of all time my top three list being 1. vinland saga (mainly because of season 2) 2. attack on titans 3. frieren: beyond journeys end

Why???? Well here are few reasons: 1.) It has a great storyline that would make you connect and fall in love with each characters. 2.) It's an adventure anime which you haven't tried yet, so its a good option to start with in this genre. 3.) The world building is phenomenal, the premise of the anime is not only in one area. 4.) There are a lot of interesting characters and you won't have a hard time recognizing them. 5.) Their battle sequences and power systems are intricate and are very fascinating to learn. They have the best fighting scenes, and yes, it's that type of anime, "oh he's strong, oh that one has fire magic, etc." but it's real martial arts and teach you about chakra which is real. And it's about NINJAs!!! Who does not like ninjas? It's not like HXH with fake fighting scenes. 6.) There are a lot of relationship dynamics between friends, family, comrades, enemies and so on. 7.) There's great character building as well, they all have their own personal backstories. 8.) A lot of life lessons, not to mention tear-jerkers. 9.) Its an overall feel good anime, but don't let that fool you because it also has a lot of dark, tragic, gruesome, painful, dramatic arcs not for the faint of hearts  10.) You'll learn to love some villains. 11.) Talking about arcs, it has a lot, but they are all connected in one big wonderful story with way too many fillers 12.) The animation is not as realistic as AoT but you'll get used to it and would love it because of the story and the characters. I know HxH came out 1st but still, to me, HXH feels like a children's water down version of Naruto. Many reasons why I don't like It. But I can't remember all the reason why, it was that kind of anime I felt Id waisted my life watching it. I was forced to watch it because I told a friend to watch Desert Punk and he said only if you watch HXH. The story is weird. The kid started off with a fishing pole for God's sake. I guess It's good for children.

I would love to see you guys watch Naruto. It would be a true treat to see you breakdown, analyze, and pick a part that show. It’s time for a big 3 and Naruto has a massive fan base so you could attract a lot of new viewers with that series if they are not already here. The first arc typically gets people hooked and if not, the second one seals the deal. It’s about 415 episodes skipping the filler so you won’t have to be worried to find something to scratch your anime itch for a long time. If not now, I will definitely be there whenever you start it to explain things when needed and guide you through it.

Hello! While I understand fully that these votes are added from what you've seen having been popular in previous votes etc. I'd urge you not to let some of the lesser popular choices to slip away from you. You guys yourselves said you'd seen a lot of suggestions for Monster and Code Geass for example. But then they get overrun by the mainstream series that will last for a lifetime on here because of its thousands of episodes. So, my point being, don't miss out on some of the older lesser known stuff. Some of them are a much more impressing piece of unique work than a lot of those choices (in my own opinion). I'd especially urge you not to let Monster fall out of your scope. It's an absolute brilliant anime, with a more serious tone. It's almost like just a normal tv series/show. Kind regards, Antoino :)

Im sorry but one piece would not fit their type of reaction style. Most episodes have nothing to pause and analyze for. One piece is also only good if you watch many episodes in a row because nothing happens in one episode

The plot sucks and is super contrived, jumping around randomly. Half the arcs are stupid, like whatever the fu*k that video game nonsense was. The pacing is the most atrocious in anything I have every seen. I honestly had to skip like half the Chimera Ant episodes because they spent mind boggling amounts of time talking about walking octopuses or psychotic ladies are whatever the f*ck was going on. When the final battle happens, it's actually like 90% narration. Just shut up and fight. It's like the writers just jotted down whatever the f*ck was going on in their dreams that night. And then deus x machine to save the day, everything from Gon going rage mode to bungee gum XD to that one creepy kid with the black eyes whose name I forgot.

Hxh highly overrated, it's a funny little battle anime. It has good animation and good music and cool fight scenes. It's honestly half decent. Like maybe a 6/10, something you watch when you're bored. That's all the praise I have for it.

Although it may not have as much discussion as AOT, to me, Naruto taught me a lot of valuable lessons growing up and what it means to be an individual and a friend. Man DBZ ain't getting any love lol I think dbz would be perfect as a pallet cleanser after AOT, its simple, great action, iconic scenes, quotes that have become memes and there's a start and finish, plus anime fans old or new should at least watch dbz, so many of us were raised on that show, me at 12 trying to go super saiyan in front of a mirror hoping it'd work lol it's such a special anime to so many in their childhood I think it'd be more just a fun journey to share with J&J and let them see a part of so many people's lives, idk I understand it's not the most smart show or well put together plot, and maybe they won't think the animation aged well (I personally like it still) but dbz is just good old fun
