"This land is lavish and accepting" - I wouldn't go that far, considering a scene we just saw with a kid and the crowd that was about to lynch him.

guys, something you should do in a video is compare the blu ray version that i think is available on prime video, at least at spain, because there are a lot of changes in the show. For example in this final episode when eren is seen from the distance in the sea, in the blu ray version or digital version whatever, he can be seen better and the titans are reanimated, a lot of animations. there are a lot of videos in yt that compare this images and you can search for them. I hope you read me guys :)

This is my observation about Eren throughout the entire series. First, I have to say I understand his pain. One event can change everything. Losing someone you love dear over something you can not control is life changing. What governs us is not something we can control and Eren being filled with regret, hatred, pain, hurt, and agony is relatable and understandable. I lost the little one weeks ago to the system over a false report and theres nothing I can do. It is out of my control. So I understand his biggest motivation in all of this and that is justice for his mother and his race (though being an Eldian, I think this ties more to the things he have learned and the way the race is treated).
That is how the world is today. So many are hurt by the xenophobia, the discrimination and the racism (& much more) that many act out because of it. Even now, I experience racism at my job. This series have said more than once that the past should not be a author to the present yet can be at the same time. I feel like Isayama truly hit the nail on the dangers of what the past can do to the generations now and in the future. But also showing how the past should not dictate the present. The past errors should be a lesson for all so that we don't make the same errors. Yet again, because no one is perfect, people do. As Zeke and Eren are a perfect example of that. They were not suppose to be the product of the errors of the past. They both had a choice to make. Now, both of them did make a choice but to me, both of their decisions are the sins of the past.
When I just thought about Eren today, I agree with a comment that stated that Eren didn't change. He actually did not change. Yes, he got more mature and calmer but his heart never changed. Eren was always about fighting. He wanted to fight. He wanted to fight for his mom, his friends, and his hometown. However, because Eren just wanted to fight, not once have I ever seen Eren seek for peace. He always felt that action should be done because no action, at least I think that what Eren views, is acceptance to wrongs in this world and that's not something Eren can get behind. With fighting comes freedom. As I heard him say the words freedom and fight multiple of times. However, I go back what Carla said to Shadis (?), that she thought of Eren being special because he was born into this world. And I truly believe his mother thinks that of everyone regardless of who they are. So what I can say is what Eren doing is wrong because at the end of the day, the world doesn't need to die just because it hates you. You conquer hate with love. Some people will just always be that way and other won't always be that way for long. The thing is that is not everyone and to truly fight this fight is with love. Thats how Gabi changed. Mr. Braus showed her love not hate.
Eren also to me has no excuse (empathy yes but excuse no). Conny also lost his mother and she is forever a Titan. She is dear to Conny as Eren’s mom was dear to him. The difference is Conny realized that his mother would not want him to be selfish and only care for himself but love and help others no matter who they are. That is not something Eren understands. So I can't really qualify Eren as a hero or a villain (though technically he would be both things), rather just a broken boy, who finally reached his breaking point.
I can only hope that we all learn to choose love over hate and realize that we are all just people holding on to the pain and joys of our past and present. Sorry that this is so long, lol. But I felt that for once, even in all this, I understood and pity Eren. 💜

Oh I just wanted to mention how funny and relatable the scene with the clown and levi was 😂 why are clowns so scary to us lol levi can stand up to 100s of terrifying titans but put him in a room with a clown and watch the terror in his face lol also the fact he's a germaphobe is such a contrast to the fearless warrior he's portrayed as, the clown scene is too funny
Lastly, I always took the way Eren behaved in this first half of the episode as an elaboration on the effects seeing visions of the future after kissing historians hand really had on eren. We saw the change briefly when the scouts first saw the sea but here I always felt like it was where eren realized the true devastation he's going to cause. It's like he's looking at all the people living normal lives while knowing they are probably all going to be killed by him so when he spaces out it's like his brain is still coming to terms or maybe trying to rationalize what he's about to do and as we know now he comes to the conclusion those people must die, but at this point in the flashback I feel like he hadn't made up his mind yet

Long hair Eren = 19-21 years old
Long hair Eren with scruffy facial hair = Undercover Marley Eren.

Liberio is not named the capital. Liberio is the interment zone with three designated areas: behind the walls for housing Eldians, outside the walls for Marleyans who live near, and the industrial area by the river where there are factories, railways, and the airship.
When Onyankopon greets the Scouts in Marley, he welcomes them to Marley’s largest port city, which I agree is a different Marleyan city than Liberio.

This first half of the epidoe was indeed a flashback. It takes place after the marleyen volunteers arrive on paradis and tell them of zekes plan and before eren goes off on his own to infiltrate Liberio (which I think is the capital of Marley)
Also you guys seemed confused on the geography, I don't think the continent they talk about is ever given a name but think of it like the continent of Europe or Africa, both a single land mass and within them are different countries, Marley and hizoru are two different countries within this continent. They were indeed in Marley in the flashback, it was just a different city than Liberio

First time watcher here.
I can’t believe there’s only 2 episodes left. What imma do? 😭 I love AOT so much, I’m not ready for it be over. Feels like it was too quick lol.
Anyways, I don’t have much to say about this episode. Just that Eren and Mikasa love each other. And I’m also wondering Mikasa’s question. Had her answer been different would things have been different? I think it’s very easy to speculate the what if’s and the possible turn outs. Like the butterfly effect kind of. Had that one conversation gone differently, could it have changed the course of Eren’s plan and saved humanity? Honestly, I don’t know.
On one hand, I want to say that it wouldn’t have changed anything. That he was already like this and nothing would change him. But I feel like he wanted to hear that he’s good and that he’s loved. That Mikasa sees something in him that’s not evil. Maybe that would have changed his mind. The AOT world is so cruel. Incredibly cruel and it doesn’t seem like such a pure thing as love can exist here. So maybe had he been told of the feelings Mikasa has for him, maybe he wouldn’t want to destroy it.
But then on the contrary, I’m like this is such a huge thing. It’s not just about running away or doing something bad. This is not just bad, this is pure devilish. He’s obliterating the world. He’s become exactly what everyone thinks of him and his people. An admittance of love by the girl he loves probably wouldn’t have changed the path he was going down.
I reallyy wanna believe he’d of stayed and things would be different. Bu honestly, we can just never know. I don’t think Mikasa should put such a burden on herself like that tho. One answer by her possibly having the potential to save the world? That’s too big. And in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter anymore because the reality is still happening. Dwelling on the what if’s can’t change that and will just hurt her. I just hope she doesn’t beat herself up any further about something she could never know or change.

The last shot of Eren and the rumbling is so spine-chilling because he is THE devil of Paradis. He is the physical culmination of all the world's hatred, anger, and resentment against the Eldians over the past 2000 years. He is 2000 years worth of that hatred and anger coming back at the very people and civilizations who threw that hatred toward the Eldians. And now all that hatred has manifested into its ultimate form; the purest form of revenge and rebellion possible - Eren.
And the cinematography of this final scene mimics exactly what we saw in the first episode. There's so much foreshadowing and the amount of double entendre's in the first episode alone are ridiculous. Here's a short 1-minute video to show exactly what I mean:

Opening with Mikasa's words, the author speaks through her character to address the readers. “Everyone says Eren has changed, but that’s not true. Eren never changed, and if that was his true form, then I wonder what side of him I saw." I think it's very important to note that the narrator of the first part is Mikasa, and the second part is Eren.
Part One : Mikasa's Pov
Part two : Eren's Pov
Like you said, Eren seems to be there without being there. It's still quite difficult to understand it currently even though there is some information and clues, but in this episode, Eren and the others see the same thing, but for Eren things don't seem to be the same color.
Notice the scenes between Eren and Mikasa, as soon as she approaches him, her gaze softens (the scene where she offers him ice cream). And what's very interesting is the way Mikasa questions him. She is also the only one to question him and observe him, unlike the others. Finally, did they notice anything ? Or did they pretend not to see anything ? Ignorance is the greatest obstacle to freedom, but ignorance is also a remedy against the cruelty which nevertheless overtakes us sooner or later.
The scene between Eren and Mikasa “what am I to you”. This scene is extremely important between them but above all very ambiguous. No one asks this kind of thing lightly at such a moment with this look. And besides, I love the ost call of silence they used for this scene ! I'm interested, do you think he hates her now after watching this episode ?
"Mikasa, why do you care about me so much ? Because I saved you ? Or because I’m your family? What am I to you ?”
A moment of intimacy without anyone around them. A look filled with hope and despair, a most sincere look marked by an author who draws every important detail through the expressions of the characters. A scene focused on Mikasa and Eren as if he expected something from her. In any case, what is certain is that Eren is interested in what Mikasa feels about him.
What if Mikasa had told him then, at that moment when he really needed it ? If she had given him her true reason, her true feelings, would all this have changed ? Would she have succeeded in saving Eren Jaeger ? But totally in love, she loses her words and stutters. A very beautiful message from the author who whispers in our ears : if one day you have the chance to say “I love you” to someone, say it. You could save his life, and you could save the whole world
Zeke then reveals the truth about the information he has. No, Ackermans aren't supposed to get migraines. But yet, the only one who has it is Mikasa for some unknown reason. No, the Ackermans do not have an innate need to defend a master. But then, the Ackerman story is just a myth ? No, but on the other hand, they are not artificial slaves devoid of free will. “There is no real reason, ingrained behavior or obligatory instinct. She loves you so much that she'll cut the neck of a titan for you." The Ackermans are normal human beings with free will. There is nothing artificial about their attachment to a person. And regarding obligation to protect a loved one, then it would be the most human feeling of all : love, in a world where love doesn't exist. So no, this Ackerman legend of protecting a master does not exist contrary to what Eren said.
This seems so confusing, considering that during the scene where he reveals this, Mikasa had given a sign that it was true when she pinned Armin against the table. But note that love in aot is extremely complicated to express and impossible in this cruel world which can take anyone's life at any time. Cruel world that makes actions more exaggerated in protection or psychology, which will be very different from usual. Here, protecting a person involves overprotection against fear, something Mikasa has done all her life and imprinted on her unconsciously. In other words, the human reaction towards a person we love will express itself as an addiction and therefore an unconscious defense mechanism, as if we were a slave to our own feelings, and therefore being treated as a slave against the love. Mikasa is not a slave, she is a victim of this world which leaves no room for love.
“Is it mutual?” Zeke then understands the true nature of Eren's questions. “I have four years left to live at most.” Eren doesn't answer yes or no to Zeke's question, he just answers something he's been mentioning for a while that always relates to Mikasa "time". In the prison, on the mini train and now here, he always mentions “time”. In the prison, when Mikasa refuses that Eren will die in 13 years, Eren looks at her with sadness. On the mini train, he looks Mikasa in the eyes then lowers his head before saying “if only I had more time” (especially in manga, the anime neglected this detail). And here, when asked if his feelings are reciprocated, he simply says he doesn't have time. Do you understand ? In any case, he neither answered yes nor answered no to Zeke's question. Zeke who seemed happy and curious about Eren's questions about Mikasa.

Hi, guys!
You probably got many links to watch so far but I still want to reccomend you some good videos. Even if you won't decide to watch it on the reaction video I think you might find it entertaining to check it out in your free time.
1. The scale of the rumbling : https://youtu.be/x9wttRG0zaY?si=mUnZX8WeyLbFx2m4 - The video is only 10 minutes long. You guys wondered how many 'colossal' titans exactly were in the walls. Corridor crew did the math for us.
2. ODM gear in real life: https://youtu.be/8ouS7G6k04A?si=U0Svj-in-grWf0MB - this one is a bit longer (18 minutes) but seeing odm gear working in real life is super cool. Also it shows how much work HOLYHAJIMEISAYAMA put into the world-building.

If u look again at the point in the last episode where the map was briefly shown (5:30 min in your uploaded video), you will realize that the world in AoT is our world map, but the map has been turned upside down and Marley is in present-day Africa. So "Africa" in the AoT world is something like Europe. Paradis Island is located on our Madagascar. And this is where Hajime Isayama comes into play again because I don't think he did that without reason. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Madagascar Plan, but The Madagascar Plan was a plan proposed by the Nazi German government in 1940 to forcibly relocate the Jewish population of Europe to the island of Madagascar.

Great reaction guys, just wanted to clear some things up! In the first half of the episode, the crew was on Marley the entire time. The reason why Marley looks so different in this episode is because up to this point we've only seen the Liberio Internment Zone, which is nowhere near as lavish as the rest of Marley. Also, the crew were invited to the Azumabito estate on Marley, not Hizuru which is the nation where the Azumabito clan are from. Hizuru is an eastern nation, and the people of Hizuru have facial features similar to Kiyomi. I bring that up because the men who were cruel to the refugee boy looked like Marleyans, not like people from Hizuru. The Subjects of Ymir forum was held in Marley too, and the next time the crew meets up with Eren it is when they are fighting in Liberio. Hope this helps!
On a different note, I felt so bad for Eren in this episode. Ever since he kissed HIstoria's hand he knew his fate was sealed as the perpetrator of the Rumbling, and he was desperately trying to find ways to avoid the future that he saw. But he couldn't agree with any peace plan presented to him. Zeke's euthanization plan went strictly against his values. Kiyomi's partial rumbling plan would mean sacrificing Historia, not to mention Paradis Island would eventually get destroyed once Marleyan technology advanced enough to render Titan warfare obsolete. And the hatred directed toward the people of Paradis at the forum was basically the final straw. Eren came to the sad conclusion that there's no way to protect Paradis Island except for a full-scale rumbling. In his mind it simply boiled down to us vs. them, kill or be killed. I strongly disagree with Eren's approach, but at the same time it isn't difficult to understand where he's coming from.

The fact that Eye Water was used during the “What am I to you” scene literally made my eyes water 😭. Not only that, but seeing the scouts enjoying the food and company of those who don't even speak their language with LENぞ97n10火巨説MAHLE playing in the background was so poignant and made me really emotional. And finally hearing the classic ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn play at the very end was terrifying and spine-chilling. The music was utilized so well in this episode. I was feeling every emotion on the spectrum when I watched this for the first time. The moment when Eren’s demeanor completely change from when he was talking to Floch and Historia about killing everyone in such a cold, callous way before visiting Marley to now crying as he looks on at the people he’s going to eventually kill is just… so heartbreaking.
