Haikyuu!! 2x15 REACTION!

I love how Hinita just basically collects different members of other teams! First it was Kenma/Kuroo (kuroo came during the first summer camp!) , Then Aone, and a few others from the teams that participated in the summer camps!

After watching so many times, this is the first that I caught something new that I hadn’t thought about before. Before the match, Takeda mentioned how the 3rd years looked especially nervous. After watching the first years, Daichi asked “What’s up with the first- years putting on braver faces than us?” And Suga said they can’t just sit there cowering either. I think part of why they can put on brave faces is because of the 3rd years especially with Daichi as their captain. When Daichi saved the ball after Hinata missed it in the 2nd set, he told them he can’t do fancy plays but he can give them a solid foundation. These matches so far are doing a great job at highlighting that. It reminded me of Season 1 when there was the struggle between choosing the main setter and Suga pushed for it to be Kagaeyama. He mentioned that he couldn’t set as good as Kageyama but he worked to learn how he could still become stronger. We see a bit of the fruit of his labors when he’s put in with Narita. Same with Asahi and being an Ace. At the training camp, seeing Hinata determined to grow also fueled his determination to become stronger. Daichi, Suga and Asahi are the cornerstones that keep Karasuno grounded. They hold it together so that the others, especially the troublemakers 😆, can fly and play freely. They may not be able to do fancy or unconventional moves but they balance the team with their experience and foundational skills.

Hi Jared & Jordan! I haven't commented in a while, but know I'm still here every week! I love this match because of how unpredictable Johzenji is and in the manga their moves are beautifully illustrated, and like Takeda mentioned they're a fun team to watch! *In the first point Johzenji made, where the Captian saved the ball and punched hooked (?) the ball over, Daichi was the only one that read that play @ 3:22 (in the episode), It’s subtle but it just shows how much experience Daichi has for being able to read that far ahead in such an instant. Just a little something they left out from the manga; when Daichi tells Hinata, “Their moves are hard to read, but it’s not like the balls gonna disappear” (in the episode @ 4:43 ) in the manga Yūsuke (the one who is watching the match with Yachi) says something like Daichi doesn’t act like a teenager. Yachi goes on to share a story that happened in school, with Daichi. I included the page here! I wanted to share it with everyone! :) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lPvBjCqJ6R9FSOQ7YTF3KM6elO8roiW9LyjeRARJ52Q/edit?usp=sharing

As a little help: In Karasuno we have 12 players: 3 3rd years, 5 2nd years and 4 1st years - 3rd years: Daichi (captain), Asahi (ace) and Suga (2nd setter) - 2nd years: Tanaka (spiker), Nishinoya (libero), Narita (blocker – tall and hair like Tanaka), Ennoshita (spiker – dark hair) and Kinoshita (spiker – blond hair) - 1st years: Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi Narita, Ennoshita and Kinoshita are there in the background all the time since the firsts episodes, but they don’t interact as much as the others, and they are casual players, not pretending to become starters. In the manga the mangaka introduce every character, so you know their names from the start, but in the anime they go unnoticed and can be confusing.

That whole Part that starts when Narita (number 8) gets switched in for Hinata, until Kageyama and Hinata talk on the Bench, where Hinata says "I'll eventually be able to do that" is a small thing and hard to get, especially on the first watch, but it once again shows to the Viewer that Hinata is not good enough on it's own yet. That's why he got switched out as soon as Kageyama left the court, for a 2nd year who at this point almost nobody remembers on their first watch. But it makes sense because he for sure has way better basics than Hinata and can do more when Suga is on the court. The wholesome part about all of this is Aone getting mad at Date Techs Captain as soon as he points it out, because he knows Hinata knows this, will work on it and eventually get good enough to stay on the court because he is too good to take of. And Hinata saying "I'll eventually be able to do that" confirms Aones thoughts.

this match was sooo fun to watch, but you guys are not ready for the rest of this season. its gonna be so hype, i cant wait for you guys to react to it!

Daichi is your classic, perfect glue guy. Andre Iguodola, Serge Ibaka, Lamar Odom, Chauncy Billups, Robert Horry, Mike Conley. Dudes who are well rounded and experienced, but most of all reliable and consistent. The players who are middle of the road when you look at scoring charts but never get shut out, and make the tough plays when those rebounds, assists and blocks are absolutely essential. It's that category of player where when they're on the court, you sorta forget about them, but as soon as they're not out there you notice things just feel off.
