No one's forcing us to subscribe to a $20 subscription with a threat that our names will be written down in the DN. I don't see the problem in capitalizing on something that's working. Me? I myself don't have that type of money. But If I did, I'd support them. Is it wrong to try to make enough money to be able to live a comfortable life? I support the hustle. Besides. It's an option. It's not like they're raising the $10 sub to a $20. They're just adding another option. 1500 subscribers isn't permanent. And if you're trying to make a living doing reactions you have to be smart about it. We always attacking people who's trying to make money. It's probably because we struggle with it ourselves. If you had millions would this option be a problem? I say, think like a millionaire. That doesn't mean you have to pay for the subscription But support people's decisions who's trying their best to make a living at what they do. So, instead of me getting bitter. I wish the best for them. I manifest for J&J and hope they reach millions of subscribers. You already have over 1500 subscribers at $10 a month minimum/average that's 15 grand a month to react to cartoon shows. To raise the price for solo leveling to 20, along with the way you've acted S3 and S4 just screams greed and no longer doing it for any good curiosity. Idk man I can't punish you or prevent it, but I am at least gonna voice my opinion loudly that this is uncool af and y'all lost a lot of respect from me anyways. Not that it matters

Also I really hope this isn’t the last time we see Armin and Mikasa together. I don’t like them not being together rn but I understand it. I think Connie may change his mind. This is a kid. I can’t see him sacrificing a child’s life but I’m still hurt for his situation in general.

Erwin was never condescending and overbearing and his words and actions were always inspirational while Floch seems to enjoy terrorizing people with his newfound power and uses force and intimidation to push his nationalistic rhetoric, which Erwin never did. Erwin let people think for themselves. Floch is Erwin’s antithesis.

2024-06-09 12:50:26 +0000 UTComg i can’t believe there’s only 7 episodes left 🥲 we’ve come so far ! since y’all brought up breaking bad, i wanted to write in this episode a comparison i commented a few episodes ago : i sometimes can’t help but compare eren and walter, since these shows are some of my ultimate faves. both start with noble intentions but gradually transform into darker, more ruthless versions of themselves, justifying their immoral actions as necessary for a greater good. they both struggle between two identities: walter between himself and heisenberg, and eren between being a savior and a destroyer. their relationships become strained as they hurt those close to them to achieve their goals...it’s fascinating. also, i would love to hear your theories about how could this show end ! what are your thoughts rn about what the outcome could be ? i think it would be good if the last 2 eps, since they’re 1h long, are recorded each in their own recording session ! i think y’all would be able to savour and digest them better, and we could comment in between :) but that’s up to you guys, thank u for the hard work 🤍

2024-06-09 11:37:24 +0000 UTCA few simple notes for you guys and other thoughts I had. 1. Eren "undid" all hardening at that moment, but he didn't remove the capability to harden. After all, everyone is FREE (to use their abilities), which Eren is seemingly fighting for. 2. Annie's father changed his treatment towards Annie pretty drastically, but a lot of people don't know realize how much they care about someone until they're gone or heading towards danger, especially family members. 3. I noticed you guys were speculating for a while on if/how Levi will go against anyone, but he was nearly dead and crippled so it's not really plausible for him to take any physical action for a while. 4. Floch is really an interesting character. He truly loves his country and will do anything to protect his people. I love how people on all sides of this story use unreasonable methods to achieve very reasonable desires/motivations.

2024-06-09 05:41:38 +0000 UTCFloch and Erwin have a lot of similarities, but also a lot of differences as highlighted in this episode. Where Erwin did manipulate others to achieve his own goal, he was conscious that his words and actions were leading to their deaths, and that burden was always on the back of his mind (We saw the image of him standing over the mountain of corpses in Season 3). However Floch does the same with his words and actions, but unlike Erwin he doesn't give people a choice; you either obey him or you don't, and If you don't you'll probably die. Lots of people choose to call him Erwin's true successor, which he somewhat is, except he's a more twisted and evil version of Erwin who has no guilty conscience of the life he's taken and no empathy for anyone that isn't siding with Eldias victory. But sadly, he's a byproduct of AOT's cruel world; cold hearted, twisted and ruthless, which makes him perfect for their survival. Like Armin and Floch said prior: "to rise above devils, one needs to abandon their humanity". So even though he's a vile and psychopathic human being, he's a perfect soldier to lead Eldia since he has literally abandoned all his humanity.

And because they’re longer like movies, don’t rush to fit them into the daily release schedule like normal episodes. I mean, in breaking bad you can feel empathy for the characters because those are real situations, and you can even feel it more if, like you said, you have experiences similar to those in the series, so i think BB is a masterpiece in terms of the danger of the drugs in the streets, showing how dangerous could be the drugs and the drugs cartels for the people in marginalized neighbourhoods, the nature of power, the pursuit of success, and the consequences of one's actions. In the case of AOT, as you said sometimes (or in some animes, all the time) the characters have so much dramatic behaviour so this isnt that much realistic as in a live action tv show, but you have to analyse the message and the meaning of the show more than his characters, the characters in this show have behaviours that are the representation of how society has acted and still acting nowadays but they still being anime characters with this "typical japanese anime profile", so i think AoT is a masterpiece in terms of exploring the human condition, the complexities of society, the blurred lines between good and evil, and showing that war is useless and that all of us are humans that have to put aside our differences and collaborate. Both are masterpieces but they are too different to compare. But like as i said at the start of the comment, this is just my humble opinion. (P.S: Forget about that crazy AoT fanatic kids, one of the things that AoT teach us is that fanaticism is not good and they are just acting like this, very hypocrital so you can't take them seriously hahahahaha) <3

2024-06-08 22:17:43 +0000 UTCThe best analogy I can come up with to compare AoT and Breaking Bad is: Imagine there are 2 very smart kids in a classroom and they both get a 10/10 in the test. They both got to the correct conclusions but through different processes. However, when the teacher compares how they got to the answers it's clear who is brighter. Breaking Bad is a perfect show but it does not have the insane amount of complexity/spider-web of stories AoT has. You will realise this even more after finishing the show and through a first-rewatch. The amount of foreshadow/detail Isayama has put into AoT is unrivaled by any show, this is why it's the best. Breaking Bad was my #1 for so long I honestly didn't think anything could top it. What do you guys think?

THE actual colossal titan that is in Armin is able to stand and look over the walls if you remember back when it kicked in the wall in ep1. I believe officially the titans used for rumbling are called Wall Titans and are much shorter than the colossal since they'd have to be shorter than the walls to be able to fit inside them This second part I wanted to talk about is about Annie's dad and the Moderator can decide if this spoils anything but I don't think it does....anyhoozies...we never get a definitive reason as to why Mr. Leonhart had that sudden change in heart in the show (never read the manga so it possible it's explained there) so to me it's just as simple as he grew to love her. He raised her since she was a newborn from what the anime shows, yes he had selfish intentions to use her for his benefit, he was abusive and not the best at how he treated her but when it came to her finally leaving on the paradis island mission and the possibility she may be killed or never come back he simply just realized he actually cared for her like his own daughter. I know after 4 seasons of watching this anime our brains get wired to think there's levels and deeper layers happening in every situation but I think isayama with this storyline didn't intend it to be(again, it's just an opinion)

I grew up in the ghetto where people sold drugs on every corner. I had friends who sold drugs, and got shot from gang wars. I actually know people who reminds me of the characters from breaking bad. So it hit different. But I can't say the same with AOT. I don't know any human who acts like AOT characters. If I did then I would think that that person is dramatic and watches too much anime. But it really comes down to preference. AOT has more action and suspense on every episode. It's too much. Because it's always actions, people always dying. I don't feel for anybody in AOT. If anyone dies I probably won't shad a tear because it's not enough normal episodes to really get to know the characters. It's constantly fighting and plot twist. So that's it. But l rarely put anime against live TV shows because Anime is cartoons that you can make do anything. Live action TV shows you are dealing with real people. They have limits. So it's not actually fair lol But you guys are new to the anime world so it be great to hear y'all opinions. To be honest. Even if you do pick AOT, I don't think you have a choice because if you pick BB these AOT fans will buy a Death Note to write your names in it. *Writes* Around 12pm Jared and Jordan indulgence themselves with some chicken. (Some good @$$ fried chicken) Then had some of that fine wine. Then Jordan turns into a Titan and have to eat Jared.

So when I jumped to reading the manga (comics) we were only at like chapter 50 /51 (when erens power to control titans/coordinate was revealed) and only one chapter came out a month so it took YEARS to see her awake again and every month there was a thread of people speculating what would happen next. every month people would be like 'wheres Annie, is she coming back' and isayama definitely saw that because in the Marley arc even his Japanese fans would be asking him Annie related questions during written interviews. Like despite being the 'antagonist' she had a big fan base, no matter how many people seem to be bitter about her she does have a lot of fans, that's why hitchs line 'why are you so popular when all you do is sleep' feels like meta from isayama himself, lmao
