The video that you've seen of Japan national team against overseas team before(the one that they did fake set), the Japanese spiker, Nishida, was only 186cm (a bit shorter from Tsukki) and he was against above 2m blockers, that's why you've seen him jumped so high. Even though we could say physical feature doesn't matter, it's obvious that taller people get more chances to play. Like this Hyakuzawa, and Lev too. Both of them are still newbie that can't even play basics or understand the rules yet got the chance to be starting members. We could see here, that chances are given unequally. I love how the author portraying this fact. It's so real. BUT in the end, volleyball is fun to watch because even though you have advantages in height, the opponent will learn you and adjust to it 😚 then you adjust again hahaha never endinh adjustment

When the hitter “tips” it over the block when it looks like they are going to hit it, it can be called a dink, feint, or tip. A wipe is when the hitter tries to purposefully deflect the ball off of the opponents’ block in order to send it out of bounds. A wipe could also be called “tooling the block” or a “block-out.” Also I love your input as athletes from another sport, it makes the reactions really fun. Always great to see another perspective from another field of athletics! Much love 🙏

2024-06-06 20:55:03 +0000 UTCYes, a wipe is when the hitter senses the pressure of a defender/blocker and changes the angle of their hit to purposefully hit the ball into the defender’s hands with the intention that the ball will go out of bounds. I have two children, one with height and one with might. Both are former AAU basketball and school ball players. My son is 6’7” and exchanged college ball for his professional disc golf aspirations. My 5’5” daughter, who had D1 aspirations, has always been a little salty her brother stole 5” of what she considered height she should have inherited lol. J&J…have you bumped around a VB since starting Haikyu!!?

2024-06-06 19:13:10 +0000 UTCI saw the movie Monday night. So many good laughs. Although the pacing often seems rushed in movies, I really enjoyed the last chunk of animation from the POV of Kenma’s eyes (1st person). The animation really drops the viewer into the emotion of the scene.

2024-06-06 15:25:32 +0000 UTCFinally, it is Haikyuu!! Thursday, I wait for this anxiously every week. Yes right now there are only 4 seasons of the anime released, but currently, there is a movie playing in cinemas, that picks up right where season 4 left off and even then the story is not finished after the movie. The Haikyuu anime should still be in development for the last seasons after the current movie (or it might be a second movie, not sure yet), until it catches up to the end of the manga. I hope you guys continue on this Haikyuu journey even if it takes a little longer to finish because it is worth it in the end. Keep up the amazing reactions J&J, love from Colombia!
