It zoomed in on an open one, portraying that Gabi has finally broken free from her cage of close mindedness. Freakin amazing writing!! And the Yelena face lmaooo the reason she made that face was because earlier, after she told them Zeke's plan, Armin began "crying" and calling her so noble to follow a plan like that. This episode on the roof, Armin is shocked to see Zeke and says the words "we have no choice but to help Zeke and Eren" basically saying he didn't want to originally do that. Yelena realized this and was pissed because Armin basically lied to her about "being so noble." Can't wait for the following reactions 🔥

2024-06-04 09:49:31 +0000 UTCGreat episode as usual. Full circle once again with Gabi throwing away Falco's armband. That object that she once cherished, as an item that "proved" she was a good eldian, to the point she would fight off Falco for trying to remove it from her. Now that she has come to realization of what some of the real world outside of Liberio is, her own world made of lies and indoctrination has crumbled. I wonder if she ever played and I mean child's play not playing at war like the way she enjoyed that her plan throwing grenades worked in the Fort Slava attack. We know that warrior candidates are kids who are put through military training, but still we could see that Zeke was hoping to still have playtime. Has gabi ever been close to that ? Seeing her parents' pride when she told her war achievements I would tend to say no. Now with the reality of the world she is even pushed further into adulthood and responsibilities. And Nile ! He has always been that MP following the rules and order. The only time he went against those was when the government was about to not let refugees from Wall Rose come into wall Sina which is a big feat but still happened because he was cornered into making a decision by the plan of Erwin helped by Pixis with that false alert. Erwin asking Nile about his daughters was already proof he was a family guy and sure he is. He doesn't see a warrior candidate in Falco but just a kid...and that's pretty much the vibe that Falco has in the first place. Falco knows more about war than a regular kid but he is genuinely kind and welcoming. Helping out Falco only validates that Nile has been doing the right things. Even when Nile was about to put Erwin on arrest, in Stohess district, during the Annie's reveal operation, Nile was simply never on the loop. His mission is to protect people, his priority. PS: Since you watch in batches of 3, it is safe to say that I'm looking forward to today's reaction release. One of the very best episodes in term of how it is build, the links and implications. Where I'm at, you upload at midnight or close to that. I'll be on the lookout as always...but even more ! Cheers.

About the view of an mother, I was going to comment it after the last episode. And I wrote so much about slussh's comment you read for us, about Magath. I totally agree with what them commented. Magath was the one who asked the Marlyan higher ups "Are you insane we are sending the kids for this mission?" and so on, even the conversation with Willy, he looked so frustrated towards Marlyan army's way, using Eldians to fight their war for them. But he couldn't express nor admit his own feelings because the environments he was in. But now he is the general, and there are no one who can denounce his words or acts. I think he is now slowly realizing that fact now. The question Reiner had for Eren, "What are you fighting for?" is the exact question that Eren wanted to ask Annie in stohess. Maybe this is the same to "What has happened to you?" in the AOT world. And do you also remember, Reiner was holding a gun toward himself back then, which means, he might had intentions of freeing Eren from his suffering.(by killing him) The Yelena's scaring face she made, I thought that was happiness and reliefs. Armin was trying to let Yelena think they were on her side, and she believed Armin when he said "We must help the Jeagrests!". She was so happy she tried to hold back her own tiers, and that look was too scary to the others. lol Besides, Isayama likes to play with these characters faces, you'll see them on some other characters till the end, but you mustn't forget, Isayama does these things for humor. lol (Remember Floch, when he said "Use your inside voices please". That was also one of them) He just wants you to laugh. haha. From this on, it will all be just some fan facts. They say thunderspears weight like 5kg per spears, so you must imagine how heavy it is to carry that much that Mikasa was carrying. lol You have notice the parallels between Gabi&Falco and Eren&Mikasa. You must know, that Isayama conformed that Mikasa and Falco has the same birthday. That's all from me today! Thank you so much for your reaction, and beware, AOT is comming!!!! Basically, from the way Armin phrased it, “We’ve got no choice now, we have to help Eren!” Yelena knew that Armin had lied in the cell when he fake cried and called the euthanasia plan “so noble”. If he had truly believed that, their plan would always have been to help Eren. Yelena was pissed that Armin tried to manipulate her.

2024-06-04 02:57:14 +0000 UTCFirst time watcher here. A lot happen this episode. Armin’s undying faith in Eren is beautiful but sad. Because I feel like, while he’s always been optimistic and believed that there must be a reason for everything, I think he’s just running on faith at this point. It felt like to me that he was even doubting a little. At least when it comes to the Mikasa situation. I feel like he’s holding onto faith because it’s Eren but he has his doubts. But he’sjust not gonna sit around and let Eren die without him getting the answers he needs from his best friend. When they were running up the stairs on their way to help Eren, I felt like he was just tryna get Mikasa through it by telling her that he believes Eren made it up. But his face screamed sympathy to me. He knows part of it is true but he also knows that Mikasa loves Eren, their family. Without her Ackermann protectiveness over Eren I feel like she’d still be ten toes down behind him no matter what. I just really loved that about Armin becuz he could have easily given up and thought his best friend was changed and there was nothing he could do. But he believes in Eren’s heart. I’ve always loved how understanding and optimistic Armin is. Even if he doubts, he’s still gonna find a way to be optimistic and this show, these characters, needs someone like that. I feel for Mikasa though, she’s having such a huge internal battle with herself and still has to go and fight with all she’s got which is the very thing confusing her. It’s making that battle with herself much harder to understand when she doesn’t know what actions are her own will. I think she’d always fight for Eren, regardless of her Ackerman need to protect him. Gabi. She finally came around. I’m glad she did. She’s a child who was brainwashed to believe what she believed. It’s hard to unlearn what you’ve learned all your life. But she saw for herself and realized that these are people just like her. I actually loved her journey and story. I’m still hurt Sasha had to go tho. Now Eren and Zeke. The brotherssss. That line when Zeke said “leave it to your big brother”, I loved that. Man I hope Zeke doesn’t die before Eren gets to him. I’ve actually grown to not hate him so I don’t want him dead yet. He had his reasons as everyone else in AOT. I don’t think he’s gonna die tho, not before they can make contact at least. I’m thinking about the scream tho. If he screams, all those people will become titans and it’s not like they’ll be titans who can become humans again (not unless they eat someone who’s a Titan). I just don’t feel like that’s the way this is about to go. Maybe Eren will get to Zeke before he dies and he’ll use his Founding Titan powers. But something’s gotta happen and I’m rooting for a win for on Eren’s side. YELENA, what does she got going on cuz that face was scary. Armin triggered her bad. She can’t be for the plan 100% like she’s making it seem cuz why did that prompt her to look at Armin like that. Omg. LEVI was in the back of my mind this whole episode. PLEASEEE BE ALIVE. I wonder where he and Hange are rn.

2024-06-04 02:12:20 +0000 UTCOne significant thing to point out in this episode is Gabi's realisation that "there were never any devils" on the Island. As you see her reflect on everything that got her to this point, the camera pans over the room she, Colt and Falco are in, which has a bunch of bird cages handing from the roof. The bird motif has been used repeatedly throughout the series to symbolise true freedom. Some examples are in Part 2 of Levi's OVA's with the 2 birds in the last scene, the final episode of Season 3 as the scouts venture outside wall Maria for the first time in forever and the very first episode of Season 4 as Gabi is giving her monologue of the current war at hand. Going back to the present, one of these cages in this room have fallen with its door open, which symbolises how Gabi (the bird) has essentially been freed from her cage (the racism, violence and hatred) popularised by Marley and the rest of the world. This spiritual enlightenment (I think that's the best way to put it) has truly freed Gabi from the endless cycle of hatred, violence and war, whereas so many of the characters we see on both sides of the war (the other hanging cages in the room) are still trapped in their own ignorance. They fight trying to achieve freedom in the external world, but don't realise that it's futile. In reality (this applies to the show and real life), one can only find true freedom and peace by looking inwards.

2024-06-04 02:06:38 +0000 UTCI think this point wasn't made 2 episodes ago so I might as well bring it up now, but Zeke lost to Levi in the forest battle because he underestimated Levi's ability to sacrifice his comrade's lives (even though they were Titans) for his own survival. And Levi was put on life support by Zeke because he underestimated Zeke and thought he was too selfish to want to die, even if it meant getting closer to achieving his goal. And as per the dialogue by Zeke in episode 17 after he's seemingly revived by that girl we saw, we can infer he had no idea he'd survive that thunderspear blast, so him being revived was definitely not a plan he thought up beforehand.
