Is now knowing why the beast said and did then back then justified or could you ever feel the way you did the first time? When comparing the emotions towards Zeke the difference is dramatic. Something new I got out of this experience was that me watching the show as it came out over the years compared to re-watching it with you guys all at once and getting to go back to see your previous reaction is AWESOME! Both characters possess exceptional power and strength which bind them rather than create freedom for them. Considering freedom and the application of power and strength, Eren will never acquiesce to being caged where Levi will always submit to duty. Although both characters possess great power and strength, they are fated in certain and different directions rather than freed. Levi understands limitations (no matter how much power and strength you posses, you will experience loss) where Eren, always pushing forward, refuses to accept limits. Very burdensome, ripe for conflict, and in opposition to freedom’s common definition.

2024-06-01 04:26:20 +0000 UTCTwo things: 1. The new info on the Founding Titan: I was always amazed by the concept of the Founding Titan. Imagine having a king that is like the perfect mediator, he can stop any conflict and war by erasing the memories of the people in the wrong after analizyng the whole problem. It is always wise, you dont have the problem of the normal monarchy of having 3 bad kings after a good one because all the knoledge and experience is passed down, in this episode we learn that it can also defend its people from desease! Even when Eren is saying the ackermans were MADE to protect the king I think it means that they were given this super strenght, speed, endurance and all they abilities by the Founder by altering its bodies, like a whole family of super soldiers. That could be a reason why Levy is so OP. Another implication I got from this is the ethnic cleansing: the king cant stop wars and violence with other countries and make the world peaceful if there are people he cant control so I think in this 2000 years of domination they were trying to get every human in the planet to have Eldian blood so that the king would have influence in all of humanity. 2. Zeke´s point of view is actually a philosophical current called antinatalism that implies the self sicrifice of the species for a better cause, this is the people that think in the extintion of us humans for the well being of the planet for example. It is very interesting because this opens a new solutions for the eldian issue, this is the ones I have in mind: a), either Zeke´s Eutanizathion plan ends the Eldiands for the greater cause of erradicating Titans and improving the lifes of not Eldians. b) The approach I think the eldian empire took of turning everybody into eldians (this is what i think i dont know if the etnic cleansing had that goal in mind) c) Carl Fritz approach of separating the eldians and not Eldians. The problem was it was not done propperly and Eldians were left in Marley, I wonder if all eldians were in paradise and the continent was left alone for the other people would this solve the problem. d) Eren´s approach in S3 final episode: "if we kill all our enemies will we finally be free?"

2024-05-31 17:19:51 +0000 UTCAnd now we see what Zeke's real intentions are: the Euthanization plan. Euthanasia is "the practice of ending the life of a patient to limit their suffering". In Zeke's and Mr Ksaver's minds, this is the only way to save Eldians: to change their bodies thru the Founding Titan so they're unable to bear children, erasing the power of the titans from the world within 100 years. And he obviously needs Eren for this, since Eren has the power on the Founding Titan. A fun detail is that we see Mr Ksaver for the first time in Season 3 Episode 19, in that after credits scene when Grisha and Faye are running in the streets of the Internment Zone in Liberio to catch a glimpse of the airship. Grisha accidentally bumps into Mr Ksaver, who says "Grisha, be careful! Watch where you're going!!". You can see him with the regular Eldian armband then, not yellow or red, so this was before he entered the Marley warrior program. We grading now 😂 I pictured u both wearing glasses while doing that 🤓 Another amazing ep. I sound like a broken record now lol. The pressure put on young Zeke, not even considering what he wanted. The stark contrast between Grisha and Tom. 😔 Zeke did have a mission, not for Marley but to save the world.. Eldia’s euthanization. Possibly even to draw out the Founding Titan’s power and make it so Subjects of Ymir cant bear children..I know he said it, but how..guess we have to wait and see.. When Eren said this to Zeke, “Four years ago, some of Dad’s memories opened up to me, memories of when he slaughtered the wall’s royal family..”- this left me wondering if its around the time the scouts came back from the basement.. I cant recall which ep, but when Eren froze after kissing Historia’s hand. I think he had some memories of Grisha in the chapel. Was it that time? Or when we saw all the moments with Grisha and Krugar? Wow 👀 that last scene. Levi.. no.. no, right? They were too near the explosion. Even the poor horse 😣 😮💨😮💨 Me thinks Himayama’s not gonna leave us with any ‘truth’, but maybe a cryptic ending, J&J lol. Till next time 💜🙏🏻

2024-05-31 11:12:27 +0000 UTCSince you guys talked about Levi being the only "free" person in the last and briefly in this video, I wonder what you guys mean with the word free. I sometimes find it absurd how the word free/freedom is thrown around so casually. It is such a vague concept. What are the conditions one has to meet to be truly free? If being free is not being controlled/effected by anything than no one can ever be free. There is always going to be something in ones environment that effects how one acts. Where is the line between being free and a slave? I feel like for a word as vague as freedom looking at each persons subjective view on freedom is very important. What does Eren mean when he says he is free? How do Mikasa and Armin view freedom? They seem to think that Eren isn't acting freely, and is being manipulated. So they have to have a different view on what being free is like. It is very difficult to objectively decide who is the bigger slave or not lol. I don't think one can truly fully be free ever, which is why it might be more effective to look at what type of freedom we are talking about. One can be emotionally free, physically free, spiritually free and etc. So focusing on a specific type of freedom makes it slightly easier(still pretty darn hard) to decide who in that sense is the free-est. This might be very deep and difficult to answer but at least it is another point of view to consider. I think keeping this in mind can be beneficial for the show moving forward. So I am glad you guys say it as "free" but I would love it if you went more into detail what being free means for you guys and how Levi meets those criteria of being one of the free-er characters. Otherwise, thanks for these amazing reactions and love ya!

2024-05-31 08:14:40 +0000 UTCI remember when I first watched the end of the last episode, when they showed that last shot of young Zeke playing catch with Mr Ksaver, I was like, "PLEASE don't tell me we're going to get a back story on Zeke now. I do NOT want to sympathise with the freaking Beast Titan!" But damn, this episode did manage to humanise even Zeke, and I don't think you could watch the whole thing without being touched and moved by all the things he went through with his parents and even his grandparents. I never did manage to get on Zeke's "side" (I don't sympathise with him THAT much!) but I do understand what drove him and why he wanted that euthanisation plan.

I was also happy that you enjoyed the products with the motif of Marleyan red wine!! lol In the shipping page, they states for many times this won't turn you into a titan. About Eren and Zeke, I remember someone was saying this: If Grisha got Eren and Zeke the opposite, he had fulfilled what he wanted. If Grisha had "eager" Eren in Marley, Eren could of become a worrier for no problem. And if he had "calm" Zeke in Shiganshina, he could live a quiet and calm days with his family. This is what the cruel world do to you... I loved it when you brought up Carla's line when you heard Eren agreeing to Zeke about "there is no greater salvation than not being born". I love what Carla said, and I also believe her. Thank you again! Have fun and take care :)

2024-05-31 04:44:02 +0000 UTCThis episode leaves me in utter tears. I can't help but see my son in little Zeke and I would rather die than ever make him live this kind of life. There's a lot happening in this episode, Zeke is being taught 2 sides of the same story branded as "the true history", but no one can know for sure, unless they were there, what the truth is. Zeke's grandfather forces still the Marleyan version of history onto his offspring, while Grisha is putting forth the Restorationists version. Zeke has to play along in all those scenarios and the way his face lights up when his Grandma tells him she'll read some fairytale story for him next time. Honestly, breaks my heart everytime. Just the whole situation, very, very heartbreaking.

"He is already special because he was born into this world" Thats why its so surprising for viewers to see Eren siding with Zeke and his plan because Zeke believes he should have never been born which goes completely against Eren's character. Also this episode really broke my heart.. No child deserves to go through what Zeke did. Kinda hated Grisha in this XD

2024-05-31 00:24:27 +0000 UTCNo spoilers, but just so you know - like the half truth/lie that Zeke told about Eldians IMMEDIATELY freezing up once they ingest his spinal fluid - season 4 is riddled with these lies/half truths and you have to draw on what you've grown to known about the characters through the other 3 seasons to differentiate between what they're saying and what their hidden intentions may be (based off of what you know about them). We're at the point where what's presented on screen may or may not be the truth, and characters will do and say whatever they can to meet their end goals.

That's it. 😔 I wonder how Zeke would have turned out if only Grisha showed more dedication to the bond with his child. I mean all it took was some ball throwing and conversation to see Mr.Ksaver as his father figure

2024-05-30 22:19:10 +0000 UTCi have a pretty strong stance on "i wont feel bad for the villian" simply cuz every show always wants you to feel bad for them, like you've said there's the "what happened to you" and i understand that but certain shows i'm like NO i don't care 😭 BUT this show really messed with me cuz no one is actually the villian, this started as a men vs monster show and turned to men vs men and it's gray when everyone becomes monsters in their own way. that's why i'm a solid team Levi girlie, my mans is innocent 😂😂 also Mikasa

You can't even watch or hear a single second of the new intro, it's wild I know, but please keep in mind to skip it every time you watch AoT from now on. However, you have to revisit both the intro and the outro because they give a valuable insight to Eren's psyche which I'm sure you don't want to miss out on.

All the hate that i felt towards zeke disappeared the first time that i saw this episode, and this + reiner's backstory made me realise the masterpiece that i was witnessing. This show changed the way I see so many things, and even my way of thinking.

A character that we once hated suddenly makes people sympathize with them after hearing their own perspectives.. and the same applies to Reiner too. It makes us all question as well because who are we really rooting for?
