Im trying to stay calm due to my condition lol, but my mind is uncontrollably going places. *deep breaths* For one, I think each time I look at a wine bottle now, Im gonna be reminded of Zeke’s spinal fluid 😅 Man, this was a crazyy ep. First, we learnt what happened in Ragako village. But what Zeke said, “On my command, I send the Power of the Titans to the coordinate via Paths”- so Im imagining Eldians inhaling the gas that was mixed with his spinal fluid, and the moment he ‘screams’, they all turn into Pures. Is that what that line meant? Send the power to the coordinate via paths? Like when we saw before, an electric charge? At half point, I assume the part about Eldians freezing up upon drinking his spinal fluid, is a lie (mixed with the truth). Brilliant move. That said, if Eldians could easily turned into Pures by inhaling the gas, what would drinking some of it, do to them then? One can only imagine.. Sasha saved two completely different souls in different ways, and yet both took the same action of wanting to kill Gabi. Mr. Braus on the other hand, knew what sending Sasha into the world would lead her to do, and its consequences. I think he accepted that reality first. Loved that he related it to their way of livin’. Hunt or be hunted. Kill or be killed. But thats it. It stops there. I know it doesnt matter now, but its just a thought I had at that moment- imagine if Gabi and Falco were not kids but adults instead, would all their actions be the same? Would there just be a bloodbath? Who knows.. Same, J&J lol, I just want to see how it plays out. One burning question I have is, how did Floch and Eren get to this point. If I make a guess, I can only assume things started either when Yelena met Eren or maybe way before, when Eren was in the cell in S3. Thats all. Till next time 💜🙏🏻

I am a Marine Veteran, so I can definitely sympathize and relate to Gabi’s mental state. Every Marine, soldier, and sailor has somewhat experienced various forms of brainwashing from the moment they enlisted. On the other hand, FLOCH has become a real wild card. If he got what he wanted back in season 3, to revive erwin smith, do you think ERWIN GOAT SMITH would have sniffed zeke’s ulterior motives? The loss of Erwin is proving fatal each episode as Hange and Armin struggles to fill the Big Shoes Erwin left behind.

I specifically have a hard time listening to cries of pain and agony, and oh boiiii those voice actors did a great job. The build up is intense from the very start and that exchange between Nicolo and Gabi about the ones that they care about is heartbreaking. I've seen this episode at least 7-8 times and I've always and will always shed tears. Falco with that episode secured his spot on the podium of my top3 favorite characters, the other two being Armin and Reiner (Blondies !!!!!!). That moment of realization he has when Nicolo, in the cellar, is asking if Gabi killed a woman soldier. It shows that he understands and listens to people and their feelings, the same way he cared for the traumatized soldiers in line on their way back in Liberio. It's not an act in order to look nice, it is pure and genuine kindness and unselfishness from a kid. The world need more Falcos. And I'm not even talking about the suspense and tension with the wine, the Jaegerists, the unfazed Eren and Paradis about to meltdown within itself. Mr.Braus could be a synonym of hope in term of humanity but the events all around don't resonate with that.

2024-05-29 06:02:47 +0000 UTCI'd like to take a moment to think about how we got here and what it took to see and understand Eren and the scouts and the whole "right vs wrong" (is anyone right? Or are they all wrong?) This may be a little lengthy so I apologize. It started simple, Human vs Titan. -At a young age Eren saw the death and destruction of the Titans and swore vengeance. -Eren and many others join the military in their early teenage years, essentially child soldiers, but what other choices did they have? Fight titans or wait to be eaten. The line here is thin, when fighting titans child soldiers didn't seem as bad. -Eren and many recruits see their friends die and get eaten as well as innocent civilians. (Eren DID get eaten) -when Eren became a Titan he became a beacon of hope for humanity. From here on he's always being told how important he is and that without him humanity has no hope against the Titans and Eren sealing the hold with the rock was humanities FIRST victory against the Titans. -Eren was always told he had to make a choice. One of the most important was "trust yourself or your allies, but don't regret your decision" In this season Eren trusted his own strength as well as his comrads. -After Eren sees his father's memories his personality starts changing. He saw the other side of the sea and only saw more enemies wanting to destroy Paradis...his "I'll kill all the titans" changed because Titans weren't the real enemy. And that's the most important thing to remember, Paradis has been at war with Marley for over 100 years (via Marley using Titans) and Paradis has no idea. After all that trauma, life lost, and betrayals they, after everything, the real enemy wasn't even Titans, it was other humans. Imagine how that would feel, fighting your whole life thinking it's for humanity just to find out that you're actually fighting another country. You can see where Eren's actions harmed the innocent and acknowledge that those actions means he's a murderer, but you can also understand why he felt he had to do it. Like he said to Reiner...he had no other choice, and really, can you blame him? If any of us were him would we have thought of a better solution after all that trauma and experiences I listed above? Maybe. Maybe not. But even understanding the "why" doesn't mean you think it's right.

2024-05-29 04:06:49 +0000 UTCZeke aside why do you not trust Eren? ,you can't blame Eren and floch for how they are acting,yeah Floch being an asshole to the scouts is out of line,but their main objective makes sense.Why should there not be people to side with Eren?,they had even asked that Eren be freed ,his freedom was still denied and behind the scenes they were planning on having him eaten,the very one by whom they got this far and got to know all these information.Also it was Eren who was given the attack titan to save Eldia by His Dad,and He has been on that part since.War was declared upon Paradis, thus Eren and FLoch actions,including the town people even protesting when Information was being hidden from them all make sense.Marley was planning on attacking Paradis irrespective of whether Eren had the founder or not.The scouts took alot of actions too that don't make sense and will probably take more.We should stop being too hard on Eren,with all the memories and info he knows and ultimately being short on time you can't expect him to act like the others.

So far all the children has been swept up in this endless cycle of violence and trauma. The story starts from there wayyy back with Dr. Jeager and before him I can imagine. Then it continued with Eren and so many others. Mr. Braus is there to say, “no, I will protect these children this world of war”. Like he said “we have to keep the children out of the forest.” A beautiful and true line. I feel for Sasha’s family so much and Nicolo. Now!!! I can’t wait for the next episode cuz ik it’s about to GO DOWN

There are scenes of so much compassion and humanity amidst the chaos and violence in this episode: Mr Braus comforting Kaya and the rest of his family, Nicole protecting Jean and Connie from the wine, Mikasa and Armin assuring Gabi they don't wanna kill her, Hange and Onyankopon trying to help Falco by rinsing his mouth... I love these characters so much and I love seeing how in spite of all the anger and fear, they continue to show love and humanity to those who hate them.

It is number 8 of my top 10 list, mainly because besides everything that happened in it, the build up to get there was simply unmatched. This is how u write a story with meaning, a story that covers humanity's flaws and qualities to perfection. A Marleyan who hates a Warrior for killing a "devil" (unheard of). The family and close friends of the late "devil" with zero hatred and resentment for the killer. The killer herself is left confused about it, all her belief system is just shattered all at once, the Marleyan is the one who wants her dead, not the family of the "devil" she killed. And our Kaya, the mentee, who surrenders totally to violence because the pain is just unbearable. Sasha's death felt random and unnecessary to most of us, but in the hand of Himayama that same death becomes the foundation that leads to one of the most impactful moments of the show. Who would have tought that our potato girl and her gluttony and her death 😔 would have played such an important role for the story moving forward? Amazing reaction guys, s/o to you, and s/o to Mr Braus (everytime they give this man some screentime he makes the most of it)

Mr. Braus is the most decent, pure character in Aot. He could’ve reacted out of revenge or anger like Floch, who definitely would’ve tossed Gabi and Falco off the airship if Jean hadn't told him not to. But instead, he chose compassion and stopped another cycle of violence and hatred from continuing.
