(7mins into this video) Since you've already finished the show by now, I can comment this now (but you also might already know it by now, idk πŸ˜…) This is what the "official" Death Note Fandom Wikia says about Wammy's house: *The Wammy's House is one of several orphanages established by Quillsh Wammy (also known as Watari)* Not sure when we learn that, but I just wanted to highlight the fact that there are *multiple* orphanages like that *It was founded in Winchester, England, and was initially designed to be a training facility for especially gifted children. The most accomplished of these children was L Lawliet. After L's success as a detective, the goal of Wammy's House became to produce a successor to L.* And this answers that question. L was just SO good that the goal of the orphanage changed πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ *Some of the orphans use aliases rather than their real names, which are kept secret. In addition to these aliases, some notable graduates are assigned a letter by Watari.* So much for the names, apparently the letters were assigned by Watari and not ALL of the kids used Aliases. For example Matt (introduced this episode) was the third smartest student at Wammy's, but he was not a successor for L. There were just two boys in line, Mello was the older one and Near the younger one (but pretty obviously more like L) Also, in the BB case book (that I think is "written by" Mello as he is remembering L telling him the story while in Wammy's House) it is mentioned that A (that committed suicide) and B (Beyond Birthday) are respectively referred to as being from the "first generation" of L's successors, while Mello and Near are described as being from the "fourth generation." I really wish we knew more about Wammy's House (and I remember writing Fanfiction about it yeeeears back xD)

I mean, if you are interested in Naomi Misora, you can always just read the LA BB Murder Cases, it's a great novel ^^ as for the name "BB Murder Cases" - I'll just tell you the name of the first victim: Believe Bridesmaid (weird name, I know xD I'm pretty sure the Japanese author just used a random English name generator for these names xD)

Ever since I watched these episodes the first time, every time I have to delete things on a computer (which happens a fair amount in my day job) my brain is like, "delete, delete, delete.." in the same way he says it.

Where are you Nicholas ? So we can discuss our theories !

Thanks for the uploads, guys! Absolutely amazing theories and thoughts throughout. I don’t know if you’ve noticed the names of the episodes titles, and what they could potentially mean. For this episode β€œSelection” it’s a direct correlation to the plot of how Migumi and Takada were selected. Whereas β€œSilence”, the episode where L, Watari, and Rem got KO’ed, the title was both present in the long pauses and less dialogue. Maybe, based on this title, can you predict or theorize what’ll happen or be noticeable in this episode? Kind of like a challenge thing, haha. Thank you for existing!

It honestly feels like Misa was dumbed down just to make room for new characters. She feels very different from the hyper cute goth agent of chaos we were first introduced to. Unless it could it be her fixation on Light and the number times that she has lost and regained her memories of the death note have affected her very being? If so, I feel like the caged bird she keeps as a pet is a mirror of her and where her choices have lead her to. Misa had a death note to herself, a shinigami who would literally die to protect her, and freedom to do whatever she wanted. Then after she seeks out Kira and her obsession consumes her, it's like she loses herself. Misa herself pleaded with Light to use her and her shinigami eyes as he pleased just so she could cement her place by his side. It feels like her unrelenting devotion to Light is a cage she willingly went into and shut the door herself. On a side note, I love me some unhinged, deranged Mikami. My man has been a twisted lil dude since his mother was killed in the accident with the school bullies. So terribly ironic how his black and white views on morality were the foundation to him becoming they exact type of person he wishes to eradicate from the world. His and Lights ideologies are fundamentally flawed but because they both think highly of themselves, people's validation makes them the exception to the rule in their minds.

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

I'm still here, brother. That must be a fake rule πŸ˜‚

Ah, I know that guy with the Near pfp. Though he doesn't post anything original and just farms engagements with conventional posts in my opinion.
