2024-09-23 22:49:00 +0000 UTCThe main reason J&J keep getting confused all the time, on every episode, is because they do not let the story develop, the pause every 3 minutes or less instead of following what the author is trying to establish for them. If only they would allow themselves to actually watch through the episode an pay attention, instead of coming up with their own story, they would be far less confused and would enjoy the journey much more. Still is fun to watch them be confused and run around in circles though it can be frustrating at times, honestly this is me 🤦🏻♀️ half the time when I'm watching their reactions to AoT. Nonetheless I love watching you react to anime. Keep at it.

Zeke telling Reiner "This war was because of our failure" is a call back to their Shinganshina mission where they were defeated by Levi and Eren and the other crew, respectfully. They didn't capture the Founding Titan, thus other nations (we assume) like the Mid-Allied Forces began war against Marley because someone (Paradis Island) finally found some weakness in Marley. They had to abandon the mission to retake the Founder (Eren) for four years because of this war. Also, remember what we learned the last few episodes ago in season 3 where the Curse of Ymir will make someone with the one of the Nine Titan powers die within 13 years. This is why the Armored and the Beast Titans are getting candidates soon, so they can inherit the titans or else risk losing it to another Eldian inheriting it off random chance. With this information, you can infer the state that Marley is in. The tough hit Reiner took at the end is because this other nation is making Anti-Titan war arsenal. All in all, not getting the Founding Titan + Anti-Titan arsenal is becoming a threat to Marley's Titan power.

Also they're fighting the Middle Eastern allied forces. Magath mentioned that the loss of the Colossal and Female titans had the rest of the world perceiving them as weaked and that's what launched them into the war they were in.

This song is titled "My war" and you can hear the lyrics, it's in English. But I'm sure I feel this is my best because I'm Japanese. When I thought this is the best, was when I heard it's full version. In the end of the song, it suddenly starts singing in Japanese. We all thought this was about a war in some other place, and not that familiar to ourselves, but when it gets to the Japanese part it suddenly comes much more familiar. And we will know, it was singing about the young school days, about a girl that has been bullied. Not to mention the song itself, but the lyrics are so good. Maybe you can find it somewhere. At first I thought it was in the past until they show Reiner and Zeke. What is this Galliard titan. He looks DANGEROUS. It's so crazy how advanced this civilization is than Paradis. I can't wait to see what Paradis looks like and what they've built and advanced in the last 4 years. I'm also sooo ready to see Armin use his titan. And how he's adjusted in this time. Gabi, I think I'm going to like her. She seems so funny but she don't play. She's strong. If Eren and them got her with them, oh that'd be a sight. I like Falco(that was his name right?). I like him. You are some of the best reactors I've seen, hope you enjoy the ride that is the last season of AOT. Mappa studio has taken over from WIT studio and they both do a fantastic job with AOT. However one of the most contreversial aspects is that Mappa uses 3D CGI for many of their titans whereas WIT almost always drew them all in 2D. 3D CGI is becoming more common in anime because its cheaper and can be more consitent. But the tradeoff is you often lose alot of detail. In my opinion Mappas CGI is a little rocky early on, so you may have noticed the armoured and beast titans dont look nearly as detailed as before. (Although the quality of how they have looked in seasons 1-3 has varied from scene to scene) however as the rest of the series progresses, Mappa's CGI titans get better and better. As a fair warning buckle up because season 4 starts with this 4 year time skip but will do ALOT of flashing back to flesh out the time period in between season's 3 and 4, so there may be confusion as to *when* exactly some scenes are taking place. Im sure the patreons will continue to be helpful in smoothing out what is a complicated story being told in a complicated way. Dedicate your hearts!

The Marleyans however weaponized the Eldian people and are the only nation other than Paradis to have some of the 9. The Mid-East soldiers are not Eldians as even outside of Marley the Eldian race is despised for their capabilities. This war you guys just watched had been going on for 4 years since Armin, Eren, Mikasa and the scouts saw the sea for the first time. Thats why Reiner looks different its cause he is 4 years older. Also why they need a replacement for the Armored Titan because his 13 years is coming to an end as is Zekes. Galliard is the jaw titan and is one of the 9. He's the Titan that was stolen from Marley by Ymir all those years ago and why R & B wanted Ymir to come back with them as well. The war started because the other nations got wind of Marleys failure on the island of Paradis to secure the founding Titan and smelled weakness in the Empire. Hope this clears that part up a bit for you guys. I've been with yall this whole time and have been so invested in your journey here, you guys crack me up and I for one and happy you guys started the Otaku Gold because i couldn't imagine waiting any longer per episode. Keep pushing scouts. For freedom and the right to know whats over the sea! God speed in season 4 we are all here with you guys!

To my understanding, this is at least 4-years after Reiner and Zeke returned to Marley after losing the fight in Shinganshina. The 4-year War that Marley is in started because the mission to obtain the Founding Titan was unsuccessful and in the process of failing to obtain the Founding Titan, they lost the Colossal (Bertholdt) and Female Titan (Annie). This is why when Zeke is parachuting down he says, "This war is because of our defeat Reiner." When Marley lost 2 of the 7 Titans they possessed, the other nations of the world decided it was their opportunity to overthrow Marley. You guys are amazing and are far better at understanding everything on your first time watching then I was. It took my friends and siblings to help everything click for me. I am so excited about season 4. I watched Attack on Titan until Season 4 Episode 3 then I got impatient waiting for the episodes to get released, so instead I read the manga to find out how everything was going to turn out but to this day have never gotten around to going back and watching the animations for it. I am excited to experience this with yall. (:

The battle at the end of season 3 was 5 years after that initial attack , so this is 4 years after that to get to 9 years. It seems that this war started at or right after Zeke and Reiner made it back from Paradis. This all means that everyone we know to be a titan (except Armin) has 4 years or less to live. Also they did mention the Jaw and Cart titan being in this battle, lets see you deduce which is which! Fun times!

Now with season 4, Kohta Yamamoto is one of the main composers along with Sawano. Kohta Yamamoto is responsible for making the track "Ashes on The Fire" (Which is the track that was played when Titans fell from the sky). Ashes on The Fire is the main theme of season 4, so you'll hear it a lot more throughout the season, along with more of Yamamoto's tracks. 2024-05-14 23:47:07 +0000 UTCGood reaction as always guys. 2 quick clarifications 1-By the time our guys went to the sea, 6 years had passed since the 1st time the wall was breached (year 5 when they went to the basement + 1 extra year to clear the island of all pure titans to reach the sea) Maggath said their initial attack was 9 years ago... so basically there is a time skip of 3 years between the last ep of season 3 and the 1st of season 4. (Hint: Reiner grew a beard and looks older) 2-The Marleyans had 7 titans, they have 5 now since they lost the female and colossal titans, that gave the rest of the world and specifically middle east countries the idea to start a war against them with weaponery that can actually fight and kill the titans. Since the war lasted 4 years the correct math would imply that when our guys were killing the pure titans outside the walls during that extra year, the Marleyans were already at war, which explains why we did not have much more pure titans shipped. (The mid east soldiers have a darker skintone and some sort of hat that distinguish them from Marleyans and Eldians in Marley) they also speak a different language since falco could not understand one of them. All the characters are supposed to be a few years older so it's convenient for them to look a little different. Also conveniently, I think S4 is more about revealing themes and storytelling, rather than highly animated action. IMO the animation takes a hit, but it's completely worth it because Mappa truly made AOT their own in the best way possible, all while being faithful to the source. In fact, Isayama even changed some parts for the anime only, especially some crucial details of the ending that was controversial and seen as mistakes in the manga version. Can't wait for you guys to how amazing the directing and storytelling becomes.

Most people checked twice if they clicked on the right show or not. "Is this attack on titan?". And it's also understandable to get confused over faces. The first 3 seaosns were all animated by WIT studio. It was so much work for them that they denied animating seaosn 4. So Mappa studio took over and animated season 4. It will be slightly different animation style, not much but slightly. And also considering a time jump. It's been 4 years since the last fight we saw in season 3. Where Erwin died, Armin inherited the colossal. So it's been 4 years since that fight. Meanng it's been 9 years since the first time the colossal titan broke the wall and Eren's mother died. Also 9 years since Erens dad made Eren eat him and inherit attack titan powers and the founding titan. But what i wanted to say is, everyone was confused at first. So don't feel too bad over it. Cause i sure as hell was confused too.

There has been a 4 year time jump after the end of season 3 (which is why you see Reiner and Zeke look like chads) 2.) Marley was fighting against the mid east allied forces, a war that was cause by their failure to steal the founding titan from Paradis 3.) We have a new group of characters from the Marley side, the Marleyan warriors candidates (Gabi, Falco, Zophia, Udo, Colt) and General Magath. Everyone except Magath is an Eldian, which is why you see them having armbands. They can be interpreted to literally be like Reiner, Annie and Bert but a new generation. 4.) We've been told the identities of the Jaw titan (Galliard) and cart/duck titan (Pieck) 5.) Even with the Eldians fighting for Marley, you can see there's still a lot of heavy racism against Eldians from both their enemy (the mid east allied forces) and from Marley itself 6.) Marley has lost the Female and Colossal titans as a result of their failed mission 4 years ago. Both are still in Eldia within the walls. Hope this summarises the key points for you! Because of Marley's inability to capture the founding titan on Paradis, and losing the colossal and female titans, the Mid-East alliance (another country) declared war on Marley seeing this as a weakness the war lasted from the end of season 3, to now (4 years later) this also explains why despite urgently needing the founding titan, they never went back to Paradis for 4 whole years, because they were busy fight the Mid East. Marley uses Eldians in there frontlines often because they are disposable to them. They also use a special unit called the "warriors" which is made up of Reiner (armored) , Zeke (beast), Galliard (Jaw), and Pieck (cart) and the warrior candidates, who train to inherit the titans Gabi (armored), Colt (beast), and the rest I'm pretty sure are not fully decided thats pretty much most of it
