I hadn’t noticed or picked up on the symbolism of the two trains circling around Near last episode, or the red dice falling on Aisawa right when he called this episode! So thanks for catching those, now I can add them to all the Deathnote fun facts I know, haha. On a separate note, I’ve heard people explain Misa’s clothing in this episode (or lack thereof) by saying that she likely changed into them before giving up the Deathnote and losing some memories, because she’s trying to be a perfect wife for Light and wanted to make sure she looked good post-memory loss when Light gets home. I think that makes sense in this case, but there is still a lot of unnecessary fan service regarding Misa in my opinion. Fan service is characters being drawn unnecessarily sexual in anime if you didn’t know. I started watching anime pretty late myself just a few years ago, and the fan service was a huge shock for me and is definitely the largest issue that plagues many otherwise great series. Just wanted to give a heads up, as you’re sure to encounter more of it as you watch more animes. I personally try to just ignore it and enjoy the good parts of a series, while recognizing that some elements of it are problematic.

2024-05-14 02:36:45 +0000 UTC@Z, no i really do understand they would like vinland saga trust me. its probably the most realistic out of any of the recommendations they have gotten but the reason i disagree is because personally, i feel like a lot of episodes wouldnt have them as intrigued due to the storyline. especially season 2. thats why i would recommend other animes, main one being "monster". its physcological which they like and its realistic. dont get me wrong tho, i could definitely see them LOVING the character development in vinland saga haha which is probably the only reason i'd agree with the vinland saga recommendation. oh and i also disagree thats its a good anime for starters but thats just my personal opinion
