Haikyuu!! 2x3 REACTION!

Comments

being quiet or reserved around poeple you dont know very well or arent ocnfortable with then become confident/playfull when you are confortable with them it is being timid, timid poeple can be extrovert or introvert, but they dont feel confortable with stranger, to put it simply and dont go to much in detal an extravert is someone who regain energy with social interaction (someone who will feel better when he go out for a drink with his friends after a harsh day like he was recharging is battery for exemple is extraverted, someone who feel exausted after coming out for a drink with his firends and need time alone to recover is a introvert, if social interaction exausth you, then you are introverted if they refill you, then you are extraverted x) being sociable around new poeple or not depend of being timid or not its a completly different thing while is it true most introvert are also timid, it is possible to be timid and extraverted or introverted and not being timide at all. as for ur other comment about how you relate to yachi because you where shy but could be outgoing, being shy or timid is something one can work on and change with growth and time, being introvert or extravert (or somewhere in the midle) is in our nature and will never change, you can only aknowlege it and live with it :) people often tend to misstake timidity for introverted and vice versa, hope i make sense, english isnt my first language :) PS: if extraverted is at an extrem and introverted at the other extrem of the scale people closer to the center would be called "ambivert", as an omnivert would be someone who oscillate between the 2 extrem but unlike introvert/extravert and ambivert, psyhcologist tend to argue omnivert doesnt realy exist (most poeple doesnt even are at one of the 2 extrem tbf) anyway poeple arent binary most people are flexible and being too rigid is often a sign of mental illness

the line I believe was in this episode or maybe the last was one of my favorites by Yachi " I feel like I've been left out in the sun for to long" is a great representation of someone who's an omnivert! Which means to be both introverted and extraverted. I consider myself to be a omnivert with introverted tendencies... To me this means I'm very much an introvert but when I'm comfortable around certain people & environments I become extraverted. Plus it depends on how i'm feeling that day if i'm more introverted or extraverted! Yachi (at least in the beginning) seems more of an introvert but a great example of an extravert would be Hinata!

BtsOT79798

that reminds me of a clip of the group bts where I think one of the members (maybe jimin/j-hope) says "sit up straight" and each member does just that! there's clips out there on the interwebs where when each member does it the clip shows sayings like for the leader "there goes my leader status"; for Jin "there goes my oldest status" and things like that i found it hilarious!

BtsOT79798

you won't be disappointed! This show may be a sports anime but there's more to it psycologically and growth wise!

BtsOT79798

yachi is one of my favorite characters introduced in season 2! She's such a relatable character that you can just see yourself in her... I love her relationship with her mother that we get to see snipits of in this episode! her mom is definitely the shows she loves her daughter in abstract ways but she still loves her daughter and wants her to grow into a strong woman and into her own person in her own time and ways! Hinata is such an infectious ball of sunshine and energy that he draws anyone near him into a happy and more energetic attitude... Yachi to me is most like my own personality... in school I was very shy but still outgoing around the right people but it wasn't until I joined Choir, color guard, and bowling that I started to really open up and express myself more though I still have anxieties (we can never truly get rid of them only grow more into ourselves) I am more outgoing and open to new experiences than I was in school... I was suuuuper shy when I was younger plus it didn't help that when I had the bulk of my schooling (3rd grade-high school) I moved to a new state in third grade so I was the new kid and knew only one person from my aunts daycare before school started... but slowly I made new friends and opened up more out of my shell!

There are 4 terms like Shojo, there is also Josei, Shonen and Seinen, these are more like demographic terms that points to the target audience for the respective manga/anime, but these days are used also like genres... Shojo, means straight up "girl" in Japanese, more like younger girl, the themes are in general drama, romance or magical girls (ex: Sailor Moon). This video has timestamps with these 4 terms and all the genres explained quickly if you want to know more: https://youtu.be/B7GxB0bq7h0 One more thing, REMEMBER the term Townsperson B for season 4, I think you are gonna find it at least a bit interesting. Also LOVE the content and can't wait for more, keep up with the great work and have fun doing it !!!

Ohh I had no idea, that's beautiful! Thanks for dropping this info. Furudate is such an inspiring storyteller.

OnikeNew

I'm trying my best too, Cheryl and Charaety! No more regrets :)

OnikeNew

Furudate intentionally paired Kiyoko’s and Yachi’s names. Yachi’s name references earth and flowers while Kiyoko’s references water. Kiyoko’s mentorship role echoes their namesakes well.💜

antionette7

You’re too kind 🫂. You’ll never live with regrets by being your true authentic self yet still supportive and kind to others. 🫰🏻💜

Not me sitting up straight when Jordan says “STAND UP! SIT STRAIGHT!” 🤣 Townsperson Bs for the win✊🏽 Everyone needs a Hinata in their lives ☀️ Can’t wait for next week!

Charaety

Ahhhh I loved everyone’s comments and yours really hit home 🥹 I’ve always had a more supportive personality than one that leads. I got too comfortable to this point where it’s hard to be firm in what I want but this year has definitely shifted for me. Slowly working towards taking more of a lead in all aspects of my life, taking the initiative to do what I want to do and not feel guilty or uncertain about it. Every day is definitely full of new opportunities to grow into the person we want to be, try new adventures, and experience more of the beauties and joys in life ✨Thank you Cheryl! 💜☺️

Charaety

Townperson B’s in the chat! Stand Up! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Love Jordan standing up for all the townsperson Bs out there!! I want to ask you guys if there's any townsperson Bs out there you want to shout-out or reference. This term and the way I understood it, it was referring to Yachi and shimizu. The managers who stay behind the scenes and take care of the busy work in the club, who cheer on the victory as if it was them that won, because of the time and effort they invested. It's just as much their victory as the karasuno team. Or like a PG in the team who sets their team up just right for their team to be in position to succeed. Sorry to drag on, but I see in the real world the thankless townsperson Bs being the plumbers, electricians, carpenters etc who make the world go round but rarely get their praise. Basically I'm asking if you have someone who's impacted you as someone who's extremely important but not flashy or isn't recognized for what value they contribute. Can be sports players, artists etc... Thanks for the reactions they're high quality and worth the watch.

I would self-describe as a Townsperson B, however I wouldn’t say nerves, a lack of self-confidence, less leadership skills, or anxiety always accompany people who fit the Townsperson B persona. In athletics, academics, and professionally I held and hold leadership positions, but as a self-described Townsperson B, I approach leadership differently than a leader who shines as a main character on stage. Servant-leadership is where I’m at home. I’m the reliable workhorse who gets things done. I’m most fulfilled quietly solving problems, encouraging others, and helping others discover and grow their own self-efficacy. I lead from behind rather than in the spotlight. Salute, Townspeople Bs!💜 Thoughts on a definition from your perspective, J&J? Go, Yachi! She found a home where she can experience authentic self-expression, contribute, and grow her skills. And next Thursday is sooooo far away! Argh! Love your Haikyu!! reactions, J&J. Thank you!

Shoujo manga is a genre of manga with light romantic love stories, the characters are usually of high school age. Haikyuu is a Shonen manga, a genre of action stories.

This episode always makes me emotional. I think this whole world always tries to portray that the "leader" or "main" role is the best and we are expected to act like it. I also tried hard with that mindset during my school years until my earlier work years, being a leader in study groups, in work projects, and even a coach in my club team. Always try to be as confident as my parents and teachers always told me to, but inside, I know I have many doubts and anxiety like Yachi. Then I got sick and took leave from work for almost a year, that's when I met Haikyuu. I really resonate with Yachi, this episode & whole Haikyuu taught me that everyone has their own role. Being a flashy, active, leader is cool. But townsperson B can fight too 😁 In the end, we're the main character in our life anyway, so we don't have to force ourselves to be the main character in someone else's life. With that in mind, now I'm happy to come back to work again in a supporting role. There are many creative things I could experiment even if it's not flashy or recognized by others 💪🏼

Hi, second time commenting on here and i'm from Norway, this episode is so good and love how the relationship with Yachi and her mother gets better as the episode progresses and i love how she stood her ground and didnt give up, can also relate to her shyness/anxiety and being like a townsperson b, also i was dressed up as a tree once in elementary school 😅 i love your reactions and thoughts/discussions. I am a thriple threat have watched all three animes and i also watch your BTS reactions, you guys are one of my all time fav reactors and just human beings in general, you two are just so genuine and nice and i also appreciate when you guys share from your own lives 💛 and i love what you guys said about how Anime really gets to you emotionally much like BTS does and how it makes you think and helps you in your everday life and how it inspires you to push trough and do better and be better, i first started reading manga and whatching anime early in my childhood, the one manga that really left a long lasting impression with me was Nana and the first two anime was Inuyasha and my favorite anime Naruto, that show really helped me get trough the day, and then i just fell in the anime rabbit hole... And aot, haikyu and death note are all so good and your reactions make it even better, love rewatching with you all, and i love the community on both this anime patreon and on BTS patreon. Looking forward to continuing with all of you. 💜 and i do recommend checking out some j-music and anime music a few of my favorites are Fujii Kaze, Miyavi, The Gazette, King Gnu, Queen Bee, One Ok Rock, Kenshi Yonezu, Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Kana Boon. Sorry, for overloading with new stuff... Hope you all are doing good and take good care of yourselves 🌻

Hi, first time comment! I'm from Sweden and i really like all your anime reactions! I think you guys missed it but Yachi said her mother worked as a designer for a big company, that is also why she gave critique and advice to Yachi when she was making her poster. Like everyone writes, sorry for my English and have wonderful day <3

Mullner

I really love this episode and the character of Yachi. I think too many of us are the Townsperson B, background characters instead of the stars of our own stories. I personally spent years propping up others instead of shining and embracing my own life. You’re never too old for maturity, growth and enlightenment. Better late than never ✨

Cheryl Lambert

thank you for this great reaction. i loved your insights on Yachi's character and her struggles. She is one of the most realistic and relatable characters. It almost feels like she is a watcher insert. Most people start watching Haikyuu without knowing anything about volleyball. But the more time they spend with the team and the more wins and losses they experience with them, the closer they feel to them and most importantly: the more emotional invested they become. Its the same with Yachi. She started simply because for the first time in forever, she felt like she was needed or wanted for something, but then quickly got doubts because she realised she actually had no idea what she had gotten into. However, even in this episode already, we could witness how she got more and more passionate about it, the more time she spent with Hinata. I dont know if you guys are aware, but after Haikyuu aired in Japan, volleyball clubs started to overflow with new members, thousands of people got inspired and found a new passion, by simply being curious about something they had no clue about in the beginning. Its just like Kiyoko said, all you need to start is curiosity. Everything else, passion and dedication, comes with time. This episode resembled this phenomenon perfectly. Passion does not belong to a certain someone. It spreads like a fire from person to person, and some just need more flames than others, to be able to feel the warmth.

inane is lacking sense or meaning, you probably just say "silly, stupid, foolish". I know,i'm german, english is not my native language😅but my teacher used this word for us in class 30years ago, when we where asking dumb questions or acting up in class

Lisa Lana

this poster is so beautiful

I love these two episodes Yachi is the best she is one of my favorite characters in Haikyuu. I think you'll love the dubbed version of these two also since some of the translations come through better in the dubbed. I'm from O'Fallon MO. I have twin nephews and they went to the twins festival in Twinsburg OH. I used to live in Medina OH which is not far from Twinsburg. Thanks so much for all the work you on your reactions they are the Highlight of my week 💜

Hi Jared and Jordan, I loved this reaction, this is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series, I have never played any sports other than the mandatory PE participation, so I felt like I could really relate to this episode and the character Yachi, during my high school and University years I was always very studious and was always second guessing myself a lot, like her, especially because I studied electronic engineering, which is very "male" heavy environment, and I started watching this anime when it was doing my master's degree and this episode in particular helped me a lot a lot with my self-esteem and confidence. Jordan thank you so much for pronouncing my first name correctly on the last episode and you are correct the accent over the E for Angélica is an emphasis on that syllable, by the way, my last name Hernández is pronounced with a silent H, I mean in Spanish the H is always silent, so it will be ernandez and the "ge" syllable in my first name is pronounced with and H sound instead of the G sound, like you said it and with the emphasis the way you said it as well. Jared I heard you say in one of the AoT episodes that you are the older twin and I can relate because I am the older twin too, although my sister and I are fraternal twins, not identical, but still like you both I was also born bigger and my twin sister was much smaller than me and had to stay in the incubator like Jordan for several months after birth, it was so fun finding out all of this common things with you guys. Keep doing what you're doing, your Haikyuu reactions make my day!! I also watched your AoT and Death Note ones so far, you guys are awesome!

Hands down one of my Favorite episodes
