2024-06-06 04:23:06 +0000 UTCI'm surprised you mentioned the thing about BTS, that BTS finds you when you needed them the most. Because watching anime and stanning BTS altogether is what helped me go through the most difficult time of my life. I've been a stan of BTS way back 2017 and ever since 2018 I started watching anime myself that was the year my father died. I've become very much invested with BTS ever since as well as watching every anime I discover especially sports anime. I swear I've watched every sports anime you might want to watch in the future LOL. But before then, I've never even try to watch an anime. By the way, Haikyuu is the very first sports anime I watched too. P.S. I'm rewatching AOT with you guys as well. Love your reactions.

2024-04-27 12:55:37 +0000 UTCIf you remember my comment from Season 1 episode 9 I stated that Suga gets chaotic and sassy and that it has been subtle right now and that we the fandom call him Chaotic Suga or Devil in the disguise of an Angel. but I was wondering if you noticed any of Suga's sass or chaoticness. Like back in season 1 when he and Daichi made fun of Asahi after hearing the rumors/gossip about him when the tournament started and then just Suga before their first match when he called Asahi a coward then critized him for his lame excuse when Asahi said he could not prepare himself before their previous match vs Date Tech. Then again in episode 21 when he took over for Kageyama and he playfully smacked, punched and hit his teammates with a smile and then in this episode when they showed the angel like appearance behind him when he was talking about how they passed their entrance exams but than it went black when he zipped up his coat and said that they will have to reap the consequences if they should not pay attention or fall asleep in class ( this is one of his devil in the disguised as an angel moments). P,S. there are more moments to come later in the series

2024-04-27 06:41:02 +0000 UTCI loved the observation and discussion about Yachi! Completely relatable especially with overthinking and social anxiety 😆. You can’t not love her pure soul. When she mentioned feeling like she’s been in direct sunlight, it reminded me of how I feel after spending time with the extroverts in my family or being around so many people for a long period of time. That social battery is depleted and needs to be recharged asap lol Another thing I enjoyed was listening to Hinata talk about the strong players they’ve gone up against. Instead of trash talking, he and Kageyama continue to acknowledge them by their skills and strengths. Haikyuu will forever be a top favorite 🏐

2024-04-26 01:40:21 +0000 UTCI'm glad that you understand Yachi immediately because many reactors I've seen said something like she's too much. I understand their opinion, but it's real. As someone constantly has anxiety and nervousness like me and Yachi, it's totally real that we think so ahead of time and can't control it. Of course, we try to get ourselves back, but it's not something that can be done instantly, and even if we could, there are times that the anxiety suddenly comes back out of nowhere again. I'm so happy that the author includes her in this show!

She’s one of my favorite characters because I can relate to her so much. Her anxiety and crazy scenarios she thinks up in her head. She’s such a an amazing character, you’ll find out, and I can’t wait for you to really get into this season! (This is a season I go back to every time I want to rewatch, then season 3 but no spoilers from me 😂)

2024-04-25 18:12:41 +0000 UTCi missed saying where i’m from in the last reaction but i’m from Honduras, currently living in France 😊 and you’re absolutely right about anime and bts finding you when you needed it the most ❤️ i watched some anime when i was a kid but i didn’t even know that it was anime. when i was a teenager i was going through really hard times and i remembered an anime that i absolutely loved as a kid so i rewatched it and it comforted me so much. since then, i started watching other animes and wow, the way it helped me SO MUCH to go through those crazy teenager years. then, when i turned 18, i discovered bts when i moved to France, it was a really challenging experience since i moved alone, in a new country and culture. so bts really saved me and continue to do so 💜 i’m so grateful i’m in this bts and anime journey enjoying such incredible pieces of art. and glad y’all are discovering it too it’s such an amazing ride !! 🫶

I'm telling you right now, if you include Haikyuu in your Otaku tier I'm definitely upgrading as soon as that happens because I really want you to binge this awesome anime. #haikyuubingenow.

2024-04-25 14:40:16 +0000 UTCI’m glad to see you love Yachi; the author talked about how Haikyuu already had a bunch of strong-willed characters by then, so they wanted to introduce someone different (nervous and anxious). But they were also worried about potentially making her too servile and disliked by the fans, so they were rather careful about her. She’s a really great addition to the cast! Funny that you mention her admiration of Kiyoko: if you look back at the shot of her notebook when she’s teaching Hinata and Kageyama, one of her example sentences is “I wish I knew her phone number” :”D You remembered correctly, the one who used to work in horror and loves the genre is Haikyuu’s author, Furudate Haruichi! When Kiyoko said that everyone’s counting on the “ultimate bait”, it’s actually “the ultimate decoy” — essentially what Hinata has been getting called for a while now, so she’s urging him to get better. Just an inconsistency in translation.

After getting out of the military what I experienced kinda left me bitter and closed off to the world. I usually just watch my shows, not engage with anyone or anything and keep my thoughts to myself. Getting so attached to characters and guessing what the plot might be always made watching anime an EXPERIENCE. Getting to watch the two of you experience the Greatness that is anime has been a god send. I let my two youngest son's (Jackson & Jordan) watch the Haikyu reactions with me every week 🫶🏾I love watching them get excited to watch anime and it's all because of y'all ✊🏾
