Same, Jonathan Groff is an amazing actor. I also loved that they used him for Smith in the fourth Matrix movie. I thought he acted that character perfectly.

2024-04-18 07:48:45 +0000 UTCif i have to add, be very engaging with the audience. encourage comments and respond to every one you get. take inspiration from the kind of thumbnails bigger youtubers make and model yours after them (don't outright copy.) try to have good lighting too, or a good set up or background setting. if the video is pleasing to watch people will most likely keep coming back.

At first she reminded me of Kenma (from Haikyuu lol), a person with a deadpan face who doesnt care about anything else, but yet her concern for others seem to sometimes show by way of action more so than words. She had a suffocating childhood of strenuous training and was reminded everyday what shes born to do, that is sad. The only time she flipped a switch and attacked her father, you can see her emotions before and after he came back bandaged. Shes a strategic thinker, probably trained to be one as well, as seen in this OVA. But now it seems like her goal is to complete her mission and go home to her father. Well we didnt see any more of her flashbacks or Marco this time, so lets go to Season 3! 💜🙏🏻

They already had a big following beforehand but for you it’s probably gonna take years to get 100k subs. Edit you videos good and make good thumbnails. Thumbnails are important.

I like that scene of her transforming too I said “there no way she gonna transform she’s in stohess” even when she got the cut I didn’t believe it until I saw lighting😂 man this was a good ova. “When something must be done, it must be done” Annie said that in part 1 ova idk if another character said it or not though.

2024-04-17 12:19:07 +0000 UTCAnnie breaking her fathers leg was revealed here first so I see LG as canon, isayama does that with both Levi and Annies ova in where he connects pieces of their backstory revealed in the ovas and incorporates it into the main story. Also in the ova where jean and Sasha were doing a food battle it's so funny because they included random pictures Isayama drew back in the day of the aot characters doing random things into the ova. I really want them to animate Isayamas high school au one day.

2024-04-17 11:35:15 +0000 UTCThe next arc is a 10/10 for me but we're comparing the AOT arcs where they are all so goddam good that it's virtually impossible to pick the "weakest" arc. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this arc so much but there's even better to come. Hope that makes sense.

Have you read John E. Douglas’s books that inspired the “Mindhunter” tv series (Douglas is the real life profiler that is fictionalized in Mindhunter, Criminal Minds, and Silence of the Lambs)? 2024-04-17 02:42:40 +0000 UTC24:32 Jordan says “I feel like another character said that too.” when Annie’s dad says “When something must be done, it must be done, no matter what.” which is the first time we hear this, but in season 2 episode 11, Bertoldt says “Someone has to be the one to stain their hands with blood.” which is not the exact same thing, but similar along the lines of what Annie has been taught by her dad.

2024-04-17 01:08:16 +0000 UTCAll 3 Lost Girls OVA’s were originally written as visual novels by another author (Hiroshi Seko). However, many sites credit Isayama as a “supervising author”, and there is a quote by Isayama included at the end of the Lost Girls visual novels that says, “Reading this, you will really get how Mr. Seko was a factor in making the Attack on Titan anime such a marvel.” - Isayama. So it’s clear through his quotes - and his being okay with its addition to the anime - that he supports watching it, and considers it to fit within the story. Whether it’s “official canon” is sort of up to the viewer and how strictly you interpret “canon”. You are correct in mainly reading it as a character study on Annie, don’t worry about remembering niche details about the Stratmann’s, etc. Also, you may forget, but try to remember the last OVA is by Seko, not Isayama, and thus also rides the blurry line between canon and not-canon.

2024-04-17 00:32:28 +0000 UTCAnnie has always been one of the most interesting characters to me. The way her character is written is phenomenal. When we are introduced to her as a cadet, she is a loner. Someone who takes extra care to stay away from forming connections with people. This makes sense later when it’s revealed she is the female titan ofc, but even when it doesn’t it draws you in. Because, despite how clearly she wants not to care, she does. She tries to convince Armin and Connie to join the mp for no other reason than that she cares. Ofc it could be argued that she knew Armin was smart and could aide the scouts in some way, but if this alone was the case she would have squashed him out in the field. The only explanation is that despite her best efforts, she cared for him. She also shows an incredible amount of remorse. Even before she’s revealed in the trost arc of season one she is apologizing to the comrade who died in the titan invasion. And we see through the shared flashbacks of her and Reiner her practically breaking down when having to do certain things. It’s easy to see her as a stone cold bitch because of the way she ruthlessly murdered so many scouts, but she’s not (which could make it worse depending on your pov). I think her crying in the forest goes beyond her failing her mission, and more to the cost of her failure not for the scouts of her and Reiner and Berthold , but for just the sheer amount of blood she’s spilled. The same goes for her laughing when she was cornered at the entrance to the tunnel and her crying before freezing herself. Maybe I’m just an Annie apologist bc I had a small crush on her that’s perfectly possible as well 😭. Also hitch gocinf her the corsage is so sweet I can’t.

Showing a bit of Annie's character and motivation, how the cold and calculating mindset is something that was conditioned and created, that all of the Titan shifters are struggling with something. The small expansion of the MP daily operations and the other new recruits, like Hitch being a flippant and vain person but still caring about Annie in her own way by leaving an expensive accessory for her to wear on her "date".
