Mann I just typed so much about my thoughts and then accidentally went out and lost it all😭 here I go again. FIRST TIME WATCHER HERE. When Eren was crying about not being able to save Hannes, chills. That scene was heartbreaking. Eren had to watch his mom get eaten by a titan as Hannes saved him and then to come face to face with that titan again and be completely powerless when it came to saving Hannes. Why Hannes!!?? I knew a character death was coming, it's the season finale but HANNES. I wasn't expecting him to die. When I saw him cutting the achilles, I thought he was gonna bring the titan to it's knees and kill her almost in an execution style. I know Eren's gonna carry that moment with him forever. I hate that in that moment he couldn't do anything, because of how painful that was for him, but I'm glad in the end he was able to get that titan killed. Eren's power!? Wow. Being able to control the Titans. How will Eren be from this point on. He's only gonna get more bad@ss from here. When you guys said imagine he could stay where he is, just standing on the wall dictating, chills. I can see that scene being powerful and you already know the music would be A1, as it always is. I wonder if with this power they'll be able to bring Annie back to their side. All of them really, R&B and Ymir as well. Having those four plus Eren and all the scouts on one side against the Beast Titan and his runners. Oh that would be insane. Okay onto Levi. I miss not seeing him as often as we used to. I'm thinking about what he said when finding out that the Titans are/were humans. I feel like he's gonna be thinking about that. I wonder what that knowledge will do to his fighting, IF it does anything. The same for Connie as well. More so for him probably than anyone else. To train for years learning how to kill titans to then not only find out that all of your village have become titans but to see your mom as a titan too. My mind would be all over the place as would anyone's. AND WHO IS THAT MAN! I CANT WAIT FOR SEASON 3!!!! I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE WHERE THE SHOW GOES FROM HERE. Already know there's gonna be sooo many unexpected twists and turns. AOT doesn't let up.

omg i can’t believe y’all already finished season 2 it’s been such a fun ride !! and now my favorite season, season 3 🤩 y’all not ready for how crazy it gets! to me season 2 is a masterpiece. it’s shorter yeah, but it’s so powerful. not only how much its revealed and the storyline goes crazy, but also how its set up. idk, i feel this season becomes darker, there’s a lot of silence moments with a lot of suspense, specially the episode with R&B’s reveal. and THE MUSIC ??? i saw how y’all appreciated even more too, the songs that played at those very crucial moments, just makes everything better. and one of my favorite things, the voice actors. they did such an incredible job. the scream, the crying and screaming of Eren’s VA when Hannes died for example… AOT VA’s are amazing ! 😭 there’s actually some live stages / shows the voice actors have done voice acting and narrating AOT scenes it’s incredible to watch. here's one from that scene of Eren crying if u wanna check it out its so good : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9J6w0DaJOY so excited for season 3, let’s goooo 🔥🔥

This is my first comment haha so I'll make it short. Great reaction to s2, how do you guys think it compares narratively with s1 despite being only half of its length? Also do you believe there is a far more sinister undertone with this season? What happened with Ragako village is disturbing and it gets even more so when you notice the details from earlier episodes. For example in (I belive) episode 2x5 when the titans first attacked the tower there where two smaller titans that had strange personalities, they where wrestling and seemingly "playfighting", one ripped the ear off of the other while laughing giddily, this may tie into Connie's mother being suspected as the malformed titan as Connie had 2 younger siblings as well. What are your thoughts as to what happened at the village where even the children living there weren't spared? I am also interested on your thoughts on the rather cryptic things Ymir said, and her quotes about "wandering around for over 60 years" and how it "felt like I was in a nightmare". In anime facial expressions and the way things are worded are very important, and those stood out to me the most. I lied, this was not a short comment.

*first time watcher* 👀 NOOO…HANNES! 😭…the emotional rollercoaster on this.. *sigh* lets start from the beginning..[I apologise in advance if some are seen as rambling 🙏🏻] - A little contradicting, seeing what Ymir said about Erwin, but then attacking the titan which was chasing Erwin. But its probably not even important now.. - Hannes..taking his chance at redemption..was something we presumed he would do, but wished he hadnt..his words from before and what I commented then.. Almost felt like I jinxed it, but I know thats not the case 😌 His last moments looking at those two before his eyes closed..I couldnt tell if he was at peace or regret. Regardless, it was heartbreaking. And the flashbacks. Ugh 😣😢 - Eren desperately trying to transform and just helplessly watching.. The pure anguish he portrayed..almost like part-wailing part-laughing, with the scene showing his bloodied hand without his fingertips..no words..his VA..beyond incredible - Those scenes with Erwin and Armin respectively, fighting to stay alive for as long as they could (even the others)..I personally dont think I would have that kind of will 😌 - There was this one pretty good-looking brown haired titan, near Armin and Jean which caught my attention. I stared at it for a while, it didnt make sense. Made me rewatch the previous episode and this again to focus on the titans. There were some titans which looked more ‘human’ than the other, rather contorted ones. Was this the same titan that grabbed Erwin previously? I mean, brown hair and big eyes itself doesnt prove they were the same. Weird that I could even call a Titan ‘good-looking’ 🤦‍♀️ and how is this creepy smile murderer Titan so big? Like its as big as the Beast. - Eren’s scream. Those lines that appeared on his face the moment his fingers grew back. WOW. Tbh, when Jordan said the title could mean ‘the titan scream especially Annie’s’, I was thinking more like screams from viewers at certain scenes 😅 But I never expected. A power to control Titans. The Coordinate. THIS IS WILD. A game changer. No1 seemed to have saw that coming. The fact that he was still in human form 👀🤯😵‍💫. What triggered it though (the anguish?) 🤔 and how much of a difference is this from the Female Titan or the Beast Titan from what I’ve seen so far? Questions, questions. - Ymir, R&B: Last seen on top of what appeared to be Wall Maria? They deserve the benefit of the doubt especially the world they live in (outside the walls right?). Even Annie, whom we dont even know if shes still in a cocoon underground somewhere. Ymir’s actions to go with R&B, despite what she said, definitely not what I expected. I dont know if this means anything or not, but the electric discharge after Eren screamed twice, only showed R&B being ‘affected’? Not sure if Ymir ‘felt’ the same or not. And Im not gonna get into what R said about Eren. - The Unyielding Vow shown in info: I see the wings logo. Survey Corps right? - The missing villagers from Ragako possibly being the Titans seen within Rose was something I suspected. Maybe thats why some of the titans looked more ‘human’? What about Sasha’s village? 🤷‍♀️ Poor Connie. Erwin’s smile was creepy. But given all that has happened, that smile may imply his main focus of uncovering whatever ‘truth’. After all, he was willing to lay down his life to rescue Eren, and now knowing that Eren has THAT kind of power, this man could potentially see Eren as an ultimate weapon instead. Levi’s reaction was something. This man hardly showed any reaction even when he saw Eren out of his Titan form! - They finally showed a glimpse of the Beast Titan and I think thats the wall at Shiganshina? J&J paused long enough on this David Hasselhoff 😂 for me to make some guesses. But should I even say anything at this point? Man I have even more questions than before 🤦‍♀️ But I have to appreciate the smallest details in the animation. One of the many I loved was the sun’s ray on the flowers, the gradual brightness with Eren and Mikasa in the centre and Armin holding Jean in the background with flying scouts and titans. The instrumental music. The VAs. The whole package. Impeccable. Phew that was a lot. Fellow AOT fans, I get this is likely gonna get crazier, but will this all make sense by the end of this show, or have some sort of a cryptic ending? Never mind ✋ dont answer that lol! I have not raised my 🏳️ yet! I need another notebook! Looking forward to the OVAs😄🙏🏻💜

As a person who has watched the entire series already it makes me wonder what relationship Erwin and Levi would have had if later on in series a certain decision would have been made differently.. Also guys I think you're falling into the trap of trying to fit the show into your theories, instead of basing your theories off the show - the Mikasa and Eren scene is prime example of this. She was basically telling Eren that he wasn't useless, that it isn't true that he "still can't do anything at all". Eren was devastated because he couldn't save Hannes just as he didn't have the power to save his mother. He sees himself as useless, as not good enough to protect the people he loves. But Mikasa comes in and reminds him that he saved her all those years ago, without any powers, and that he IS capable.

Hannes had so much difficulty fighting the titan because he was in an open area and only had the titan itself to latch onto. The only soldiers who can easily take down a titan in an open area are Levi and Mikasa. Everyone else relies on buildings and trees.

It was Erwin who saved Eren. this Man doesn't care about Physics 👀. he managed to use Odm gear with only one arm. what a legend 💪💪 *(not a spoiler) - if you calculate the dates Berthold and Yimir where taking about. Yimir got back to human 5 years ago before the wall maria got destroyed. since then you can see her aging. that means the 60 years roaming around is applying to her while being a titan. Now the Important stuff!! -between Season ones Eren Vs Annie fight in the city and season 2 only 1 day has passed. Levi is still injured from the fight in the Forest which should be a few days before the fight in the city. Also very important!... at the beginning of Season 2. from the Squad only Eren, Mikasa, Armin and Jean know that the Female Titan is Annie. The Others for example Connie Sasha Reiner Berthold Crista Yimir etc. where held "captive" somewhere between wall Rose and Sina. they where held captive there without Odm gear. Ervins order because he thought there could be tractors in the new Scouts. All the scouts and comander Mikes Squad didn't know anything about what happened in the city of Trost and the stuff with annie. -there is a small mistake in the dub.(ep6 Warriors) Reiner was talking about how he almost died twice and mentions that he almost crushed by "a Titan" (refering to the female titan from season one) while in the dub he says "by Annie"....(at the beginning of the episode, before they reveal themselves) -Excited for Season 3. depression started a few episodes ago and will just get stronger from now on 🙂☠️ Did anyone read this far?.. 🤣 I always try to keep it short...😅 😁🖖

My first time watching this show, these few episodes were so confusing! Everything that Ymir said made absolutely no sense. The conversation with Reiner and Bertholdt on top of the wall probably made no sense to you guys... that's intentional. Have finally managed to catch up on all ur reactions so far and I’m so excited for season 3!! These last few eps of s2 definitely have some of my favourite moments in the entire show, especially any and all scenes involving Erwin, he is my favourite character and truly the GOAT🐐 it also makes me very happy to see you appreciating the music in this show, the AOT soundtrack is undefeated and really makes a lot of scenes unforgettable, such as the betrayal by r&b and Ymir saying goodbye to historia (makes me emotional!) do you have any favourite tracks so far? also I suggest watching the endings if u haven’t already! especially during season 3.. :)

Your guys description of how it felt like you ran a marathon watching these episodes reminded me of when you announced you’d release 6 episodes per week and got several comments saying to be careful haha. People weren’t cautioning against the time commitment, but the emotional commitment! There are many sets of episodes in S3 and S4 that will make y’all feel like you ran 5 marathons. I think it’s often overlooked how impactful Levi’s “it isn’t worth the cost” statement is at the end. Up until now, Levi doesn’t talk much, and he essentially says he’ll fight and lead a small squad, but the big plans are up to Erwin and he’ll trust him completely. I believe this is the very first time Levi feels the need to speak out against an idea of Erwin’s. We know despite his hard exterior, Levi cares deeply for his comrades. Levi is basically saying he’d rather keep those he cares about alive over knowing the truth, which is a pretty deep philosophical stance. And what’s amazing about AoT is it’s not obvious who’s “right”. They’re just different ideas. Love it.

At the end, "David Hasselhoff" was not putting on fancy goggles, they are just glasses with the light reflecting off of them. Its a common anime stylistic choice to hide a characters eyes or symbolize them hiding their intentions. All in all, great reaction as always can't wait to see where the future seasons take you. Wow! Great season finale with you! Thank you for your great reaction! The scene where Eren is in despair over Hannes' death, and Mikasa was thanking Eren for all he has done for her: The image on the screen was "The world is cruel, but it is beautiful" as it was. Isayama does this sometime, to show a very beautiful scene with some cruel background with it, as if he wants to show what he wants to tell us. And this was something that another reactor was saying and I sympathized a lot with: They said that a lot of Japanese contents intend to say "I love you" without using the phrase "I love you". Like Mikasa saying "Thank you for wrapping the scarf around my neck", like Eren telling her "I'll wrap it around as many times as you want". I thought this was so beautiful. I even think the words that Historia said to Ymir "If I'm with you, no matter what world would come, I'm not afraid", is also one shape of an "I love you". Oh I love this line so much, and there are beautiful lines more to come too. I want to know which line you thought that meant "I love you", if you find one! Can't wait for your next reaction! Birth controls line about the “come find us” has always hit so hard. The emotion of his voice as he essentially begs them, the comrads he’s lied to, betrayed, and killed on mass, to free him (even if that, like he says, means them staining their hands with his blood). It’s truly heartbreaking. Also seeing Eren completely broken down just destroys you. He’s a person with so much fire and rage and longing inside of him but there is such a large gap in what he wants to do (reclaim wall Maria and go beyond, save humanity, etc) and what he is actually capable of (laying on the ground in a crying mess as he watches yet another love one be murdered in front of him. Poor dude.

No matter how many times I rewatch this episode, the ending sequence with Erwin's small speech, combined with the OST and the flying camera travelling towards, over and past the walls always gives me goosebumps. Cinematography in this show is so bloody good.

Just to clarify, when Mikasa was saying all that, she knew there was nothing left to do, she was too hurt to do anything and the situation was too desperate. So she was confessing her love to Eren, she was literally trying to say good bye with a kiss. Eren knew this, and he is not the type of giving up even in the most pessimist scenario, so he didn't took the good bye kiss and kept fighting while getting some inspiration from her words.

It's strange, re-watching season 2 makes me realize that it's the lowest on my list. I think what happened is that it was very good when first watching it, but after seeing the whole show, it just doesn't even stand a chance against 3 and 4. So, get ready for an amazing story along with some of the best animation in the whole show in the next couple episodes. In terms of what the show is "really about", in my opinion it hasn't really even started.

Just for some info on Hannes, just remember Hannes is a soldier yes. But he's part of Garrison right. We love him and he's a good fighter. But not necessarily strong enough. He had to fight the smiley titan on the ground with no houses or trees nearby. Odm gear is impossible without obstacles. I have only yet seen elites being able to take titans down like that. Even in the episode where the female titan was first introduced, the two soldiers had to work together to take titans down because there were no houses nearby to climb onto to take them down themselves. On top of that. Hannes isn't a SUPER STRONG soldier. So sadly he died
