That last scene with Aizawa seeing his wife and daughter again always tears at the heartstrings no matter how many times I see it. Hmm... Not long now until everything goes to shit XD

2024-03-29 11:34:25 +0000 UTCthe similarities and contradictions between L and Light are probably my favorite thing about the show. their dynamic is so fun to watch. they're both constantly trying to one up each other, but also work really well together despite differences. dare i say they're two sides of the same coin? Light has many different relationships in this show, with his family, with Misa, with the other task force members, his university peers, but his relationship with L is the one that seems where he's just as mutually interested as the other person. Most people in Light's life are just props to him and while L could be seen as simply Light's biggest obstacle, it'll become clear L is the only person Light actually respects.

Also, this is not a spoiler, Light gave up the Death Note by saying "Get rid of it". He is not acting. Light is not in the possession of a Death Note and therefore he has no memories of anything related to it.

Looking at the outcome, it can be said to hit the nail on the head, as both are currently in a state of amnesia, serving as pawns of the pre-amnesiac Light (Kira). This also confirms L's deductive ability and intelligence, despite being overlooked by everyone at the time. Now, my question is: The next episode is the episode 19, right in the middle of the plot. From the first episode, starting with a high school student obtaining the Death Note, to later on with L joining the confrontation, the police headquarters, the appearance of the second Kira, the television station, and up to the end of episode 18 where Aizawa leaves the team to reunite with his family, did you anticipate the meticulous progression of the plot and the realistic portrayal of character personalities and life events? What are your thoughts on the series up to this point? What developments are you expecting?

My question is, with Misa and Light losing their memories, do you think that their 'relationship' will last for very long? Considering that Misa's main reason for loving Light is gone, and that Light no longer has a reason to manipulate her, what do y'all think? Or do you think Light will agree with L's request to use her affections to manipulate her again? Curious on your thoughts. Also, how do you think that Light and L's relationship might shift with them spending so much time together? Do you think that L likes OG Light or 'innocent' Light more? Anyways, thanks for the content! <3

Thereβs some document out there that details how every single L eating scene is actually symbolic of whatβs going on in the plot. Itβs been awhile since Iβve seen it so I canβt remember if thatβs on there, but either way, no way I would have ever thought of that. This is part of the reason I love watching reactions, even of shows Iβve seen a thousand times.
