Gatha and Kevin are spot on with the order, and this is the order that the larger majority of the community agrees on :) some ppl try to force different orders on reactors especially for Ilse's Notebook saying it's a "spoiler" before S2 but that is not correct and not a spoiler of any kind like I've seen some ppl say. They just want to see a "better reaction" with the bigger shock factor like Kevin said. Even the manga chapter for Ilse's Notebook is 18.5 and season 2 doesn't start until like chapter 35.

The correct order adhered to by nearly all reaction channels and agreed upon by the community is S1 Ilse’s, Visitor, Distress, No Regrets 1&2, S2 Goodbye Wall Sina 1&2 S3P1 Lost in a Cruel World The only acceptable change is putting Ilse’s Notebook after the first episode of S2 for a bigger “shock” factor.

Yea, the only 2 correct spots to watch Ilse’s Notebook is either before S2, or right after the first episode of S2. Any later than that is completely wrong. There is a ton of misinformation being thrown out on OVA timings for some reason in this community that I haven’t noticed in other AoT reactor communities. Even the guide referenced in the OP post is wrong at several points.

Correct on your question. The only information we know is that Annie showed up to the inspection with Marco’s maneuver gear. Anything more is just speculation, the same worries and thoughts the characters are probably feeling, but don’t know for sure.

Unless it was already with Marco when they found his body..🤔🤷‍♀️ Jean was so quiet in that room, I wonder what he was thinking..he seemed the most affected with Marco's death so far..which is still a mystery.. Compared to Eren, seeing Armin and Mikasa so focused and fearless, scares me a little 😅 argh but those scenes with him biting himself 🫣 Levi saying to Jean, "its good to see that someone has the balls to go, but dont forget to do your damnedest to stay alive"- kakkoii desu ne 🤩 Oh the battle beginss..but 1 more episode left..will it be a good or bad ending of S1..? How did we come from the fear of Titans eating humans at first, to humans in Titan bodies killing humans and then battling each other!? This is crazy..Cant wait to find out! The soundtrack to AOT is phenomenal. Also i was kinda like Eren at first. I couldn’t wrap my head around Annie being the Titan. Even with everything she’s done. Like I need her gone for what’s she’s done but I was also like like, “this is annie”. Keyword being was cuz now I can’t wait for my boy Eren to drag her up and down Wall Sina like a rag doll. I hope Levi gets his chance to expel some of the pain I’m sure he’s feeling rn with all his friends dying too. I need his revenge next episode. Side note: Annie’s under eyes does not do my trypophobia any good. Every time I see them it makes my skins crawl

Many of us feel that Ilse’s Notebook should not be watched until after episode 1 of season 2 because it takes away from the surprise we get in that episode. Just throwing that out there. You know we all want to see them slapping each other when that one moment happens. 😂

Hey guys, Loved the reaction as always! I just wanted you guys to keep in mind that they grew up with each other. Even if you didn't see 2 characters a lot on screen together or didn't see any interaction between them, remember that they went through a hell of a training together, suffered through it together and became close. You don't have to be the closest friends but they also lived together for years even tho for us it was only a few episodes.

im sorry i remember now in 2013 how obsessed i was with the aot sountrack, the emotional and painful "Where is my lover? Im standing alone, no way. Calling out your name" as they see Annie transform into the titan at the beginning of this episode is SO GOOD. "Call your name" was and honestly still is one of my top tracks of aot, every version of it sticks. I really hope Jared and jordan watch the vocalists and instrumentalists perform the songs live, probably after s2 though haha

Thanks for a great reaction! I was so sure the female titan’s appearance and/or fighting style would bring about an earlier conclusion as to her identity. Had me cracking up each episode until you finally committed to the fact. Just like Eren, you didn’t want to believe it was Annie until you had to!

OKAY JARED AND JORDAN PLS JUST READ THIS IN UR FREE TIME. You guys are almost done with season 1. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or if you're aware of this. But in anime and in attack on titan there is something called OVA episodes. It stands for "Original video animation". It is episodes from the series but isn't broadcasted on japanese television like the rest of the series such as season 1,2,3 and 4. It's almost like hidden episodes or filler episodes. It's kind of like that one episode in breaking bad called "fly". Where Walter spends his whole day trying to catch a fly in the meth lab. It was a fun episode to watch. But it isn't wasn't connected to the series, right? Most anime OVA episodes are just for fun and doesn't connect to the story whatsoever. Then there are episodes who are there for major breakthrough and better understand of the show. In conclusion there are important OVA episodes. Now what i'm about to write now comes from a guide i found online for you guys. "How to watch Attack on titan in chronological order”. I wrote this yesterday. And edited the comment with responses from fellow Patreons. This is truly the correct way to watch aot. So please read this. Here’s 9 steps to how to watch aot. CORRECTLY 1. YOU WATCH SEASON 1 FULLY!! 2. Then you watch an OVA episode. The episode is called "ilses notebook" U have to watch this before getting into season 2 in my opinion and most peoples lol. It's very important, also VERY interesting and has many theories. It's 23 minutes u will love it. This is not some useless OVA like many other OVAS in anime. It's important and personally written by Hajime Isayam, creator of aot. And is also the only OVA he wrote. please watch it. 3. Now it is usually recommended to watch 2 other OVAS called "The sudden visitor" and "Distress" There's no reason to watch these 2. Anyone can disagree with me but it's "The sudden visitor" is just a funny little OVA it doesnt connect to the story. And "Distress" doesn't really matter, it is interesting but i'd recommend skipping it since it doesn't connect to the main story whatsoever. Also i just wan't u guys to only watch the important things for now and once u finish the series in 3 months u can watch the funny little OVAS later for fun. So i really recommend to just skip these 2 OVAS and watch it after watching the whole show. 4. Now you watch 2 OVA episodes "No regrets" part 1 and 2. Each episode being 25 minutes long. You get to see a bit more about Levi's backstory. It's interesting and sure it may not connect much to the main story. But it sure is more important the 2 OVAS i mentioned "The sudden visitor" and "distress". U will have better understand for Levi. I would recommend watching it. 5. Now you watch season 2 of attack on titan. FULLY. 6. Now you watch season 3 part 1. Which is all the way to season 3 episode 12. So u watch the first 12 episodes of season 3 and then —> 7. After those 12 eps you watch the 3 OVA episodes. The episodes are called "Lost girls" it is 3 episodes around 24 minutes long each. It isn't canon to the main series Just like Levi's OVA. It focuses a bit on Mikasa and Annie. Just like Levi's OVA. Sure it doesnt connect to the main story but i do recommend watching them so please do <3 8. Now you finish watching attack on titan season 3 9. Now the big finale. Finish the series by watching season 4. The main event of this masterpiece... Now just for a finishing touch. I HAVE NO CLUE IF I HAVE BAD GRAMMAR AS ENGLISH IS MY 3RD LAUNGAGE. BEAR W ME. So as u see I only told u to skip the OVAS “distress” and “the sudden visitor”. U have to watch every other OVA as I mentioned in the comments. MUCH LOVE TO U BOTH❤❤❤

That thought must be the most important, not only in this show, but in our own lives. This is why I can't stop watching reactions, I love to hear people's thoughts and perspective about this show and our real lives. This thought would make watching this show a hundred times interesting too! I also loved you saying Hange eats books. haha Oh and about the big 3 and Annie relationship, Someone already said that Annie was personally training Eren in the cadets, so they respect each other for sure. Also Annie said to Armin he has guts even he is weak, and for Mikasa, I think Annie had some sympathy for been strong and strict girl. (Like in ep7, Mikasa asked Annie where is Eren, not anyone else. So even though they weren't "friends" they had some kind of connection) So I think Annie had a lot of respect for the big 3, same for the opposite. they slightly changed, added, or cut out a lot of manga scenes tbh, mostly because the episodes have to be made in a way that makes sense for TV and fits time constraints. Some of my fave scenes didn't make it smh but the anime is so well made like a movie, I can forgive it.

AOT is definitely Subtle Foreshadowing the show. After you watch the whole thing, and find a bunch of answers you can then rewatch it and see even MORE subtle clues that you would not see on a first watch. You honestly don't know the half of it. Here's a non-spoiler example. If you go back to Episode 2 at the 15:32 min mark... you'll see Annie getting bread (this is when Eren is still a boy and they are getting food rations) On the first watch, it just looks like a random kid because we haven't met Annie yet, but when you rewatch, you are like oh look, that's Annie.

It was cut out of EP 4 but in the original manga Eren made Annie smile, a rare sight, and she offered to teach him her dad's fighting style so they were definitely on good terms even if it's hard to catch only watching the anime

Regarding Erin and Armin being close to Annie, I think the show relies on the audience to infer this from this episode, rather than turning the 2-episode training arc into 10 episodes. I think most people at some point can relate to being part of something like a sports team, for example, where even if you aren’t best friends with everyone, there’s a sense of camaraderie. These feelings would be jacked up tenfold in their situation, considering the dire nature of the titans, and the fact they spent 3 years eating, sleeping, and training together. Especially for Erin, who is so strong-willed and “pure” in his goals, he can’t even fathom that someone he’s been training with for so long could actually be an enemy.

I don’t know if someone has mentioned this already, but there are 5 special episodes called OVAs that were released between season 1 and season 2. The episodes are “Ilse’s Notebook,” “The Sudden Visitor,” “Distress,” “No Regrets: Part 1,” and “No Regrets: Part 2.” “A Sudden Visitor” and “Distress” are good episodes, but they are not essential for the story. However, “Ilse’s Notebook,” “No Regrets: Part 1,” and “No Regrets: Part 2” are a must since they add a lot to the story so I recommend that you watch them before starting season 2. (EDIT: It might be better to watch "Ilse's Notebook" right after season 2 episode 1, but I can't explain why cuz that would be a spoiler). There are also 3 other OVAs titled “Lost Girls.” The first two can be watched after season 2, but the last one should be watched after season 3 episode 12 (or episode 49 in the overall series). I figured I should mention this since you’re almost finished with season 1. Also, I absolutely love your reactions and I really enjoy all of your observations!
