Everyone is kinda on high alert, even when they try to be unassuming and calm. Armin is especially wide eyed and stiff when he approched annie, which she picked up on (why she also took precaution to put on the Ring) Mikasa tries constantly to shut eren up, and erens Voice seems a but… panic-y. Hes also kinda sweaty. Love the Show for their Details honestly

My little brother is the one who introduced me to the show and we watched all the episodes together. Ironically, in the first episode the female titan was shown, I offhandedly commented, "Huh, that looks like Annie" not knowing how shocked my brother was that I made the connection so quickly lol. However, it wasn't until the female titan lifted Armin's hood and didn't kill him that I fully believed it was Annie. After Annie was fully revealed to be the female titan in this episode my brother told me how hard it was not to react when I guessed that Annie was the female titan. He was like, "How did you so casually guess one of the biggest plot twists for me?" lol I love watching you guys' reactions to this show, they're so relatable. P.S. AOT is also the first anime I ever watched so I'm glad this is also one of your first animes too!

Actually, it's the other way around. Usually cadets in the top 10 tend to choose for the Military Police when they graduate. Jean, Bertholdt, Reiner and Marco clearly said they wanted to join the Military Police during training. Connie only decided to join the Survey Corps after Eren's speech, so we can assume he wanted to join the Military Police at first. Annie wasn't weird for joining the Military Police. All the others were weird for joining the Survey Corps. I personally think the Survey Corps has never had that many elite cadets join them after graduation. Mostly lucky with Mikasa, of course.

Idk if you know, but AOT was review-bombed around 6 months ago around the series finale by a certain fandom of another very popular anime tv show. It was the only show on Imdb with 9 episodes on a 9.9+ rating,6 of which were on Season 4 if I remember correctly.

2024-03-22 14:30:55 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched this ep for the first time, the moment it showed the flashbacks of her childhood, I was like "Yeah the female titan is Annie" because I had a hunch that it was "that blonde girl" (whose name I couldn't remember when I first watched) but I never gave it any thought back then. And speaking of the revelation, how do you guys feel about her as of now? Lots of people don't really like her for how brutal she was in the deaths of the scouts (mainly the guy she spun around like a yoyo & Petra's death) but given what you know of her as of now, what are your thoughts on her motives? Also, any hypotheses on her titan-shifting abilities and how she could have gained her ability? (titan-shifters are what we call them because they are humans that can transform into titans) And regarding what you asked at 1:01:00 about their Titans being changing their appearance, yes it's a fair assumption that they could have made earlier; Annie looks similar to the female titan through the hair colour and eyes, but I want to remind you guys that they had no idea to what degree a titan shifter's titan form, looks like the human inside. It's only been a month since Eren even joined the Scouts and all they can deduce is Eren's titan looks similar in hair and eye color. Other than that, the face barely looks similar to his. But what happens if it was someone else, not Eren who could turn into a titan? Would it still look the same as Eren's Titan? Would it have the same hair, eye color, and facial structure? There's no way they could have confidently known that from only seeing/studying Eren only. Also, another reminder that what we see as the viewer is the stories of the main and side characters so we know the story is focused on them. In the world itself, these guys are just 10 comrades amongst another 190 other trainees. They've likely seen a bunch of other blonde girls in the cadets that have similar traits to Annie, so it'd be unfair to assume it had to be her (unless you assume the titan's face looks like hers, but that goes back to the point I made in the paragraph above).

I dunno if my memory's failing me or not, but for some reason I remember the female titan taking Annie's fighting stance in the forest too, but I didn't see it in your reactions. There are still so many secrets yet to be revealed and once they are you’ll have a greater appreciation for the intricacies of this anime in the end and in future rewatches! This particular shade matched Annie's exactly, leading me to deduce that the Titan was either Annie or a blood relative with the same hair color, possibly a sister or mother. However, upon a second viewing of a previous episode with you guys, I observed the Female Titan's playful demeanor, particularly her expressions during combat. This suggests that the mature Titan (as if it was her mother) is not an option/much less likely.

But as soon as i saw the female titans face in episode 17 staring at Armin laying on the grass i was like "Yeah no that's Annie". Mind you the first time i watched season 1 was in 2017. But i still remember this moment so well. I immediately thought it was Annie. 1. I thought she had a hidden soft spot for Armin and the others. Because her and Armin were talking about whether to choose the military police or survey corps a few episodes before and she said "Ur weak but u have guts" when Armin chose the survey corps. I always thought she acted tough but deep down inside cared for her comrades. So when i saw the female titan look at Armin and then leave him there without killing him i was like okay. That's Annie. For sure. Because she legit killed everyone she didn't know in the survey corps. except for her comrades. And number 2. My reason for thinking it was Annie was simple. Her face. The end. That's it

Eren repeated this action when he took up a spoon (last last episode) Simply adhere to the bread crumbs 🙏🙏 Eren's parallel remark regarding Annie was also a really interesting response. Since watching AOT for the first time, you both have noticed more details than I have 😅 Anyway, In the previous episodes, it revealed Eren was unable to transform inside a well. Which is the reason why Annie was reluctant to walk through the cramp space with them. It is obvious that she would have been apprehended if she had followed them. Which shows how smart she is Also I believe ISAYAMA (author of AOT) in an interview stated that Annie laughed with satisfaction at not having to conceal the fact that she is the FT We know that although Annie appeared to be in control of herself and was constantly dispassionate, she managed to maintain composure, but her true self broke when she finally recognized that she failed to conceal her identity Anyway, great reactions as always. cant wait to watch the next one tomorrow:)

I put it in the more standard Season 1, first 5 OVA’s (Ilse, Visitor, Distress, No Regrets 1&2), Season 2 order, as that’s the release order, and also a bit more streamlined for a reaction channel. Though I understand the argument for Ilse’s Notebook after S2E1 as well. No idea if they’re referencing what I sent or just going off their mods, just wanted to say either order is fine imo.

They're not listed in the regular show, so a lot of people have never even watched them. However there are 3 OVAs that are essential to watch to understand certain things/characters better. The other ones are fan-service, so they're nothing more than some fun episodes that are not directly related to the plot, so I'd say it's optional to watch them. These are the ones that are important to watch after Season One: 1. Ilse's Notebook 2. No Regrets Part One 3. No Regrets Part Two. I guess some would recommend to not watch Ilse's notebook until after Season 2 but it came out before Season 2 did so I decided to watch it the way the creator intended.
