I believe in the manga, if I remember correctly, after the bus jacker died Light suggests that maybe they should call off their date or try again another day. But the girl refuses and Light is forced to spend the rest of the day with her at Spaceland😂.

2024-03-05 06:42:22 +0000 UTCThe reactors are absolutely free in their choice to decide which version they want to watch but I personally prefer sub because the manga is written by a Japanese person so the dialouges of the show will be much more authentic and meaningful in their own language

2024-02-18 11:52:37 +0000 UTCYou guys are forgetting that he is an FBI agent in JAPAN, on an undercover mission. Technically within Japan he is a civilian, and civilians in Japan aren't allowed guns. Plus the guy was firing wildly in his general direction, so standing up and shooting him would've been a massive risk, especially if it caused him to aim towards Raye, which is also towards the two Japanese teenagers on the bus.

With a dialogue heavy anime like this one it's way easier to enjoy the dub as a new anime fan... I think dub is the way to go, but I won't cry and throw a temper tantrum about the sub.

2024-02-01 20:37:51 +0000 UTCIf you like psychological thriller, try Hunter x Hunter (original version is superior but the remake is ok). It's not as focused on the psychological aspects as Death Note, but definitely has a good dose of it, in addition to more action oriented scenes.

2024-02-01 19:32:06 +0000 UTCI have to agree with many on the preferred subbed version, compared to dubbed. I never watched anime in the past with dubbed as well, it has always been subbed. Maybe all those training to read subtitles so fast over the years came from watching BTS content and anime 🤣 But great reaction as always though! 🤩🤩🤩 My question still remains the same as I commented under episode 3: what do you think L might do next, after learning that several police officers involved in the investigation, resigned in fear of Kira killing them and that there are FBI agents investigating the police involved in the Kira case? Also, just to address some questions raised in this episode (not spoiling anything): the bus they were on was bound for SpaceLand so the assumption that the criminal hijacked and demanded for SpaceLand’s cash seems logical. Also, I think the local police and the FBI may have different judicial duties on what they can and cannot do? Just my thoughts! Looking forward to the next!! 👏🏻💜👏🏻💜

2024-01-31 03:29:41 +0000 UTCI love this reaction guys. I personally preferred subbed anime but some like Death Note have good English dubs. My thoughts on some of your questions towards the end. I don't think Light could include the FBI agent shooting the armed robber because he didn't know 1. that the FBI agent was an FBI agent. He knew he was following him, but when he saw his badge was the first time he saw he was with the FBI and 2. I think he would have to still know the agents name to include him in the details for the cause of death. In a way his details did influence the actions of others, but I don't think he could force an unknown person to kill another person. I think the details would have to be clear. Just how I've always interpreted it. It's been so long since I watched Death Note I don't remember all the little details of the Death Note.😅 P.S. I love how you included BTS music in your exit music 💜 that makes my heart so happy.

My question is, knowing that Death Note is one of the highest rated anime of all-time, and has an enormous budget in the millions of dollars per episode, do you think this may have set the bar too high to be able to enjoy other anime? Or could you still appreciate them despite lower production values?

2024-01-30 16:29:52 +0000 UTCLol I'm almost done with your ep 3 reaction so the timing here is perfect 😍 I might be the minority but I think both the Dub and the Sub have merit. Being new to anime I think the Dub would be helpful for you to not miss anything while otherwise you're trying to keep up with subs, which for death note isn't as much of a problem but other anime will have multiple people talking over each other more often. You miss a lot of one liners or jokes. I personally will watch an anime multiple times and watch both the Dub and sub. I really hope Haikyuu wins the poll, or you decide to watch both Haikyuu and Demon Slayer ☺️
