A surprise wake up call
Added 2022-10-23 18:17:16 +0000 UTCManaged to complete all of the Jaylee chains this week along with the rest of the background art for the junkyard area. Now when Jaylee invites you over, there is a nice background to look at and you can see her hanging around inside the trailer if she is there.
No need for an alarm clock while staying with her as she has her own unique way of getting you up in the morning. Though while it will wake you up, there is no incentive to actually get out of bed...
And speaking of alarms, because you can stay at Jaylee's house and treat it as your own, I needed to redo some of the sleep code so it works no matter what bed you are sleeping in. This made me decide to add a pocket alarm clock item to the game. So no matter if you are sleeping under a bridge or in a nice warm bed, you will never miss your wakeup time.
The alarm, along with a few other bits is sold by Ashon at the junkyard once you have sold him enough junk. Most of the shops will start to function like this where items are bought from small time vendors as opposed to a large supermarket. The same is with Jaylee once you unlock her shop. She can sell you some sex related items.
Jaylee has a habit of collecting sex toys and all things naughty. So if you want something on the kinky side, she will be the person to see for it.
I do want to expand the story with Ashon and Jaylee a bit more as well as being able to act or encourage her on some of the topics she talks about. But I think I will leave it as is for now and see players reactions on her and if she is a liked/popular character.
So for now I will be calling this area done and moving on to fixing up other areas that need work.
