Sammy's first mission update

When I first wrote the mission with Simon in the pub, it was done under the assumption that Sammy would be quite inexperienced. It was the first mission after all. But with the addition of school events, planned world events and other future stories, it is clear that it may not be the case anymore.

So I have decided that some new branches are needed.

This is a screenshot where Sammy meets the requirement for all the branches while walking in. If Sammy is sexually experienced, she will be able to use her allure straight away with little pretence. If Sammy has high enough intelligence/speech, she will be able to put the fear into him with threats. And if Sammy has worked at the bar enough times prior to this mission, she will be able to dress in her work uniform and use that as an excuse to get close to him.

These options will branch even more into a few different variations. It's possible to still fail the mission using one of the new option or to go outside and play his strip game. But now it is also possible to convince him directly with words or body.

Depending on your choices, you can also help Simon frame Bob. Simon has his own mission after all and that is to dig up dirt on Bob, and what better dirt than photos of a naked Bob and a naked Sammy together.

So since you can dress as a barmaid, you might already have guessed it means I will be unlocking the barmaid job from the start of the game and not needing to pass this mission to unlock it. Additionally, I am laying a bit of groundwork for possible future jobs with Simon. He is a private investigator after all and might be able to use someone like Sammy. 

Dynamic colour testing

On a different note, I have been doing some little tests on allowing players to choose their own colours. It is a very common request to not be limited by the colours I have put ingame and for me to add a colour slider. I recently did some tests just to see how possible it was. Don't mind the orange skin, it is just for illustration purposes. 

The test so far has shown it is possible to do this, so you can probably look forward in future to being able to pick your own colours for clothing, hair, eyes and pretty much anything else. I am not sure if I will limit what you can recolour. Not sure if a neon green Sammy is fitting with the game. But on the other hand, if the player wants a neon green Sammy, should I really be trying to stop them?

I want to play as a rainbow Sammy, green head, blue arms, yellow legs, and red body... MAKE THIS POSSIBLE!!!... just kidding of course. lol good work, looking forward to custom colors on clothing, i felt very limited on the preset colors.

This sounds great. I like the idea of further missions with Simon. This will give more context to Sammy's life outside of the institute and school. Not withstanding the importance of the main storyline and the institute it would be good to see other kinds of 'life style missions' as time goes by.
