A lot of vtubers can by virtue of not having a cam have a messier room and get away with it, but the main reason people tend to be vtubers is more about anonymity than anything else. There are people like Pekora who just don't like going out, but there are plenty of social vtubers, you can tell by how much they do or don't collab, it usually matches their social preferences.
