Patreon Update for the New Year

Before anything else, Happy New Year! Good riddance to whatever the hell 2022 was; I hope we don’t have to relive that anytime soon.

So with the new year comes a bit of change around here, and I’ll start with what’s planned for Tier 1 patrons. As of today I’ve removed the reward story benefit, meaning that whatever I’ve received up until yesterday is the last of them I’ll be writing – otherwise I’d never see the light of day again – and have replaced it with double the voting power in suggestion threads, meaning they’ll have the ability to vote six times on a subject instead of three (or vote for six unique subjects, that’s totally fine too). That could be subject to change later on down the road, but at the moment it’s more in line with where I want the tier to be as it gives the top-tier patrons more bang for their buck.

On the topic of the suggestion threads, one major thing I’ll be implementing is a cooldown period for poll winners. That means that any entrant that wins a weekly poll will automatically be rejected from being put in another poll for a whole month to give room to other R34 characters. In addition, all characters that make it on the monthly poll will also be added to this list starting from this point. There’s a whole wide world of potential candidates out there to suggest, and I wanna see some different ones that might be interesting. I’ll have a list on every thread moving forward with all the characters taking a break. For the record, any character on the list will still be fair game for me to write about in the alternating weeks.

The last thing I’ve got is something I kinda kept to myself that I’ll make official – in the suggestion threads, if there’s a prompt submitted that I just can’t connect with in some capacity, I’ll look over it in favour of others. What a prompt like that might look like, I have no idea as, you know, this stuff’s really subjective, but I have noticed an uptick in them lately and just wanted to make this public. If I’m not interested in writing about a character then it’d make for incredibly poor reading, and I’d genuinely like to avoid that.
