A Look Back at the Year + Feedback

Hey guys, Happy Holidays! Hope yours are going well.

Well, it's finally near the end of the year, and I can safely say this year's been a lot. A lot of ups and downs and it felt like I was more along for the ride most of the time than in control. I had a lot thrown at me and I tried my best to stay on top of things, though whether or not I was successful is a whole other conversation.

But I digress. I've been doing this for half a year now and I think I can say that I've learned a ton about doing this whole 'online business' thing, though I know for a fact I've still got a lot to learn.

That's why I wanna hear from you guys.

I wanna continue making this a place people want to come back to, but I can only do that when I know what's on people's minds. I'm looking to hear the good and the bad, people's comments and concerns, even questions if you got them (this could be like an AMA).

I keep pushing to get better in my craft, and I hope it shows in the finished product. If you do take the time out of your busy schedule to say something, know that I genuinely appreciate it.

Thank you all for the support, and here's to a better new year!

That’s fair

I'll be honest, I don't have a whole lotta vested interest in stuff like that. Not enough for me to go on or connect with.

Darknevoir

Would you be aganist doing any theme park furry characters like figment from the original version of journey into imagination?

Kit Draken

I'm thinking at least a month to start off with, but if it gets bad then I'd up it to 3 or something. I wanna see some fresh choices that I'd want to actually write about instead of the same things every time.

Darknevoir

What is the break period you’ll allow between poll choices?

Kit Draken

The obvious answer is any humans, as I've stated in the threads themselves that I don't want to do them. I'm also at the point where I feel like I'm just gonna ignore ones that I'm not interested at all, either because I have no connection to them in any capacity, or that they're so obscure that researching them is painful, such as an NPC from a 35yo NES game only released in Japan (exaggerated example). It's not gonna make for good reading if writing the story feels like pulling teeth. Something to consider is that I'm not a visual artist by any means, so I can't just work off of a single image with no context. I have to craft a whole story around a character, so I need a little more to chew on.

Darknevoir

Any non minor or female characters you would outright reject for the polls if someone suggested it?

Kit Draken

I've been genuinely thinking of implementing a cooldown for winners, though I was planning on saving that until the new year.

Darknevoir

Well there are 3 way to fix it so the ones you want have a slightly better chance to win while still being fair 1. You can ban previous poll winners for a time so you can get fresh meat more often. 2. Some polls could have themes so it’ll have more ideas you’d like to see or 3. You just wright the ideas you like from the polls as like bonuses because if you actually like the idea why the heck not. What do you think?

crossoverfan12

I can usually call the winner of the polls most of the time, with surprises rarely happening. There have been some that I'm happy won, but I'm normally ambivalent about the winner because the one I want doesn't even come close lmao.

Darknevoir

How accurate would you say your guess on the polls have been and have there ever been any the you wish turns out different and/or any that your super happy with who won?

crossoverfan12

Gotcha! Love your work and im glad to have found your muscle growth specialty for commissions as well!

John_doe12346

I have it listed in every thread that I'd throw my own ideas in the poll if I don't get enough suggestions. Commissions are whatever, I'm fine with either so long as I get enough detail about a character that the commissioner is happy with the outcome.

Darknevoir

Two extra questions; what happens in the idea suggestion if you are unable to receive enough ideas for six options? And for commissions, do you prefer original characters or established characters for either rule 34 reasons or as a body template to use in a story?

John_doe12346

I straight up hate the archetype. Everything about them is a massive turn-off for me, so I avoid it wherever possible. I don't even like the word.

Darknevoir

Appreciate the kind words! So it's more than just human=>animal, I just don't enjoy doing human stuff in general. The overwhelming majority of porn out there is human already, so I don't feel a need to contribute since there's already a ton of others who are more than willing to do that stuff. That works out for me as I far prefer doing anthro stuff. Furry characters have always interested me far more than human ones in all forms of entertainment media, so I'd much rather be working with them than humans.

Darknevoir

Any reason you don’t do himbos?

Kit Draken

Oh, I've actually got quite a few ideas written down for potential sequels for stories I've posted here already, I just haven't gotten around to them yet. 'One and done' is nice in cases where there's more potential for a character that a different setting/kink could bring out, as well as for characters that I have difficulty trying to bring to life because I'm not familiar enough with them, especially when it comes to poll winners (like the Blaidd one I'm working on lmao).

Darknevoir

Merry Christmas! Enjoyed your stories you’ve posted on here and the ones I’ve commissioned from you this year! Random question; any reason you’re comfortable sharing for not doing human to animal transformation stories?

John_doe12346

Are there ever stories where you wish that you could do a sequel to them. Or do you prefer the “one and done” format so far as it allows for more variety?
