For the first time, I’m looking forward to the future

Hey y‘all! It‘s the last day of the year so I wanted to thank you all so much for sticking around during 2025 with me!! 🫂💕 So I‘m doing a little retroperspective with my final piece of the year!! 🙌💕

It‘s been an eventful year, thankfully not as much in terms of direct drastic global events or bigger personal life issues aside from two health scares that thankfully turned out to be nothing super bad both times and I‘m really grateful for that!! I even managed to dodge any longer hospital stays entirely this year, thank god…. 😤💪!!

My health except for some ocassions where I had flare ups or bad periods has been thankfully fairly good this year compared to other ones and I managed to do a huge milestone for myself related to that by travelling to a different country on my own and overcoming past fears about fainting in public (which did happen in the past and is a really shitty experience) and god it felt so liberating !!😭 I‘ve often felt really burnt out and super low energy and just fatigued as hell though which was more tied to me overworking alot to manage my workload which was… not ideal really. I managed it all without bigger delays but also been honest to god overdoing it alot this year 😅

and that‘s definitely something I want to tackle in 2026 because leaves me with little to no energy to socialize or do much else most of the time because holy hell doing 8-10 sketches each month + 2-4 full render pictures and 1-4 commissions and then also doing some personal art too each month and finding time for studies is pretty much impossible and I want to focus more on improvement and experimentation next year, learning new things and maybe even dusting off my animation skills!! And just generally having more time to work on bigger, more polished illustrations again with proper background scenes and planning like f.e. my older Mipha or Krystal pieces! And overall just taking more time to draw things I really really want to draw, alot of my own more complex WIP projects that I wanted to complete I haven‘t really gotten around to finish at all this this year due to them consuming more time and energy than I had 😔

A good thing about this year in terms of art though is that I‘ve really found my joy in it again!! 🥰 I‘ve drawn so many illustrations this year that I genuinely enjoyed and was super happy with, including alot of smaller personal art projects like I haven‘t in many years and god it made me so happy!! I‘ve had a great time with my art in that regard, it was super hard for me to even remotely narrow down my favorite art pieces for this year because I‘ve drawn so many!! There‘s also been some specific art related things I‘ve been super happy with in 2025 and one of them was dusting off my pixel art skills and just having an absolute blast with that!! 🥰

I‘ve also decided to finally post Ranea somewhat publically after keeping her private for many years and only sharing her lore with chosen people since she‘s an underage child OC and I didn‘t want her to be sexualized at all which…. Then pretty much directly happened, which is tied to one of my biggest disappointments this year really but most people genuinely enjoyed her and her story the way it is which made me really really happy !! 🥰 and the cat‘s out of the bag anyways so she’s here to stay as an AU child because god I love the tie-in lore with Engage…

I also got to draw another short doujinshi for the 5 year brainworm anniversary!!can you guys believe it‘s been almost 6 years now since I got possessed by the fell dragon worms? 😭 It’s been another thing I‘ve been really really wanting to do for such a long time and I‘ve learned alot doing it and god I‘ve been wanting to draw their first kiss for so long!! 🥺💕

Another one of my favorite memories this year that also ties closely to art is the fact that Intsys straight up released my absolute dream Grima alt and not just one of them, no they released both!! And made my Fallen Timeline design with slight adjustments pretty much canon which is STILL insane to me ??? Including the tiniest details like the eye wrinkles and extra eyes and scales like what the hell??? And this lead to me not only on day 1 getting to do one of the most fun art experiences I ever had with a banger co-op art collab with Ail but also with alot of people getting together for my silly ko-fi doodle event just to fund me whaling this (1) time for the objectively pretty bad demote M!Grima which also filled my heart so fucking much and then I ended up with insane luck and got all merges in less than 100 overall pulls 😭💕

Everything tied to the release of this Grima alt this year has been insane to be fair, it kicked me out of a mild art block too, made me commission a bunch of people with some of my favorite commissions of all time and god it actually led to me making new friends and ultimately most of my best memories this year happening at all that taught me how to genuinely smile again!! 😭💕 I got to make so many truly unforgettable memories this year that I‘ll honestly treasure until the end of my life… You truly never know where having questionable Spamton art as pfp can lead you :‘D

Hence I decided to go with this Grima in my last picture this year, I truly owe him alot and god, for the first time in a long long time I‘m actually looking forward to the future…
