The Lake House - Part 2

Theo drained the last of his beer, already feeling the warm effects as he strolled down the pier, barefoot and merry.

"Well?" He said, finding Noah emerging from the water like some sort of majestic seal.

The handsome young man rubbed water from his eyes as he floated.

"Is it cold?" Theo asked, dipping his toe into the lake.

Noah didn't answer him, swimming over to the pier instead.

"It's freezing" he told him, his teeth chattering as he reached the wooden ledge below his friend.

Theo paused as he lifted his t-shirt over his head.

"Really?" He asked, quickly deciding that perhaps he'd stay put on the water's edge.

Without a word of warning, Noah pushed himself upwards, grabbed Theo by the wrist and dragged him into the lake.

Everything went silent for a moment, before the young man emerged, coughing and sucking air into his lungs as Noah howled with laughter.

"You... Idiot!" Theo gasped, his body quickly acclimatising to the water that, wasn't in fact, cold at all.

He splashed the surface of the lake, drenching Noah as he did, until the pair of young friends laughed with each other and began to swim.

Noah was far superior in both water, and on land. He swam like a fish, diving deep into the lake and grabbing Theo's ankles as he passed by. Theo grinned, ignoring the feeling that he felt when their bodies connected.

They spent a considerable time frolicking in the water, until Noah finally retreated back to land. Theo reluctantly followed, wishing that they could simply stay in the lake forever.

He shook his head as the pair of them emerged, trying desperately to shake the ever growing feelings for Noah that were creeping up on him like ivy.

The sun was now high in the deep blue sky and beaming down on them as they returned to their beer.

"This is the life" Noah sighed, falling onto his back, and Theo's eyes widened.

Noah's white boxer-briefs had become soaked from the lake, and unbeknownst to him, were now completely see-through. Thankfully, the muscular young man had closed his eyes as he basked in the sunlight, because Theo couldn't take his eyes off him.

It was large, and tucked downwards over his heavy looking sack. He could see the ridge of Noah's glans, and the pink tip barely showing. At a guess, Theo would say that his flaccid penis was at least the size of his own, erect. It looked to be five or six inches and his mouth watered as he considered what it might grow to, hard.

He'd never seen his friend naked before. Despite his cockiness, Noah had always been quite modest, but certainly not as much as Theo.

"Pass me a beer?" Noah asked, opening one of his eyes as Theo quickly turned his back and grabbed two cans.

Already, both of them had developed a golden tan from the intense sun. Theo returned, his shorts dripping, and lay down next to his friend. He tried to push the image from his mind, and waited for Noah to realise that his entire naked body was visible as they began to drink again.

"I could stay here forever" Noah told him, leaning on his elbows and staring across the vast lake.

"Me too" Theo replied, and he wasn't exaggerating.

"What do you say?" Noah continued "we could just pack it all in. I'll leave Lyndsey, and we just spend the rest of our lives here" he laughed.

"You'd go crazy" Theo smirked "there's no girls for miles".

Noah shrugged and gulped from his can, and Theo felt his heart skip a beat as the sheer beauty of his best friend hit him again.

"They're too much trouble anyway" he smiled "I wish I was born gay!"

Theo's eyes widened and he glared at his friend.

"Really?" He asked, and the question came across more serious than he would have liked.

Noah eyed him with his deep hazel eyes before grinning.

"No" he laughed, his dazzling white teeth glinting against the sunlight. "Not really".

Theo faked a laugh and felt the familiar feeling of disappointment pulse through him. It wasn't fair to feel like this. Why did he have to have a crush on the one person above all others, who he could never have? It felt like he was parching on an island, and a bottle of water sat beside him, but one that he could never drink.

"Oh shit" Noah laughed, and even after just two cans of beer, Theo could hear the effects of the alcohol in his voice.

"What?" He asked, but Noah ignored him and grabbed the towel, quickly covering his crotch as his face reddened.

"Nothing" he lied, and Theo smirked to himself.

The two young men lay in silence for a while, with only the sound of the soft breeze swishing through the trees overhead. Theo couldn't help but focus on the amazing sight that he had bore witness to. It was so big, and yet he'd never heard his best friend gloat about it. Noah was a good guy, there was no denying it, but his parents had corrupted his mind, and Theo wished beyond words, that they hadn't.

"Are you hungry?" Noah asked eventually "because I'm really, really hungry".

Theo wasn't surprised. The fit young man ate a copious amount of food every day, which had evidently helped to sculpt the masterpiece that was Noah Elliot.

"Yeah" he nodded, sitting up "I'm starved".

"Wait here" Noah told him, standing up but keeping the towel firmly around his waist.

"Why can't I come?" Theo asked, as though he was a lost puppy being left alone.

"Just wait" Noah grinned and he watched as the nineteen-year-old returned back toward the lake house.

"Damn" Theo grinned to himself, the sight of Noah's junk firmly burned into his mind.

Lyndsey was a lucky woman, that was for sure.

He waited for quite a while, helping himself to a third beer to pass the time. The sun had begun to cast an orange hue across the sky as it descended behind the trees. It was still warm enough for Theo to feel completely comfortable wearing only his shorts.

Had it been anybody else in the world that he was with, there was no way in hell that he'd be this underdressed. He had always struggled with his body image, and no matter how many people told him that he was normal for his age, when compared to people like Noah, it was hard to believe.

But Theo had never been made to feel uncomfortable around Noah. He wasn't sure if his best friend knew of his internal struggle and had chosen to avoid ever mentioning it, or if he genuinely found no issue with how Theo looked. The former sounded more convincing in the young man's mind.

"What is taking him so long" Theo groaned, pouring the last of his third can of beer down his throat and straining to see through the trees behind him.

Finally, after almost an hour of waiting, Noah appeared and Theo's mouth fell open.

He was no longer wearing his see-through underwear, and instead, a crisp white shirt, rolled up at the elbows, revealing a deep and even tan on his muscular arms. Below that, he wore a pair of khaki coloured shorts, which only Noah could get away with. He looked amazing.

"What is that?" Theo asked as his friend approached carrying something large and white.

"It's a table" Noah half groaned, opening it up and standing it on the grass.

"Why have you got a table?" Theo questioned, watching as he threw a white cloth over it.

"Just wait!" Noah told him and ran back toward the lake house again.

Theo shook his head and smiled, having no idea what he was up to.

It took only a minute before Noah returned once more, this time he was carrying two folded chairs under his arms.

"You do know there's a table inside?" Theo joked as his friend set both chairs up, facing each other.

"Yeah" he nodded, a bead of sweat dripping down his cheek "but there's no lake in there, is there?"

For a third time, Noah disappeared and Theo sat on one of the chairs that he'd left there. What on earth was the man doing?

At last, Noah returned for the final time. He held a large picnic basket and on top of it, Theo could make out two plates, balancing as he navigated the grassy terrain.

"I brought this for Lyndsey" he shrugged "but there's no point letting it go to waste, huh?"

Theo watched, his heart bursting, as Noah placed a plate down in front of him. It was a full steak dinner, with all the trimmings. Next came the champagne flutes, and although they were plastic, Theo didn't care. He watched his handsome, caring and magnificent friend as he filled both of them and sat down.

"Oh wait" Noah grinned, reaching into the picnic basket and retrieving a single candlestick with a white candle at the top. He lit it and sat back.

Theo felt like crying. This was the nicest thing that anybody had ever done for him, but he knew that the truth behind it was exactly what Noah had told him. He didn't want it to go to waste.

"You good?" Noah asked, grabbing his knife and fork and smiling at Theo.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Theo half smiled back "thanks, for this"

Noah shrugged again.

"Just didn't want it to go bad" he said, shoving a forkful of steak into his mouth.

"Yeah, of course" Theo nodded.

The two young men ate in silence as the sun slowly dipped further behind the trees and the sky turned an inky blue with streaks of stunning orange.

Compared to Noah, Theo was now definitely underdressed, but the soft, warm breeze felt good against his sun kissed skin.

"I need to tell you something" he blurted out as they finished their steak dinner.

Noah sipped from the champagne flute and nodded.

"Yeah, sure" he said, putting it down and staring directly into Theo's eyes.

Damn he was beautiful.

"You're probably gonna' hate me" Theo half laughed, dropping his gaze.

He couldn't look at his best friend, not when he was about to tell him his darkest secret.

"I could never hate you" Noah scoffed "tell me".

He could feel his bottom lip begin to quiver. This was already far more difficult than he had ever expected it to be. He was about to destroy it all, ruin everything they had created through the years, ruin this.

"I... I don't know how to tell you" he sighed, feeling a desperate urge to simply run away.

"Bro" Noah laughed "you can tell me anything, you know that!"

"I know" Theo nodded, and it happened before he could do anything to stop it.

Tears began to roll down his cheeks and no matter how quickly he wiped them away, they were replaced instantly.

"You're worrying me, Theo" Noah said, sounding concerned as he moved his chair closer to his best friend.

"I... I'm sorry" he groaned "I just don't want to ruin things".

Noah looked desperately confused as he placed his strong, warm hand on his pal's trembling shoulder, waiting for him to speak.

"Noah" he sniffed, wiping his eyes again.

"I'm gay".
