Health & month update (important!)

Heya y‘all! I‘m putting this together with the upade post for the month since they‘re very much tied together to give you guys an update on the current situation.

As you guys have most likely read since I posted about it on every single social media plattform I use and also dropped regular updates on discord especially, I spent the entire past week in the hospital after an entire sunday night of nonstop vomitting and other gastrointestinal issues that left me so dehydrated I had to get IVs for a few days straight. As it turned out, the few days of peace I had prior were mostly just the silence before the storm and I ended up having a pretty severe infection, colon inflammation and also an early onset sepsis that they thankfully caught before it could‘ve gotten worse.

I‘m not gonna sugarcoat it I was really having a terrible time and I won‘t be going into more detail in terms of that but they thankfully released me again when it was safe for me, currently still on a strict limited diet for my stomach and recovering, I‘m doing okay-ish mostly but still very much exhausted, I’ve been sleeping 12-15 hours each night since I got out of the hospital. I hope this will get better soon but I genuinely can‘t tell you guys how fast, the entire experience was very taxing on my body.

I‘ll also have to get appointments for yet another colonoscopy and a gastroscopy this month which I‘ve been really hoping to avoid but they told me in the hospital and in my follow up appointment on monday that it‘s for the best for my health, so far I‘ve been honestly dreading it with the holidays coming up and it meaning another hospital stay even if it would just be for a day but that‘s planned for this month too still, I just need to call and schedule it which I‘ll most likely do between christmas and new year‘s eve.

I‘ve spent the past few days catching up on things I was supposed to work on during the week I lost so that‘s also covered for now.

But yeah for those reasons I‘ve decided to not do any commissions (with the exception of the quick chibi one for the hospital bill) this month, I don‘t think I can realistically handle it as things are right now this month. I can work technically but I‘m honestly not really having a good time overall, especially not with stress and pressure and I‘m supposed to take it slow if possible and I also want to deliver good work if I do and not half-ass things so no commissions for this month.

I‘m also heavily leaning towards skipping a voting poll for this month entirely too, I have a little project cooking right now instead that I hope you guys will like (it has booba 😌) but otherwise I don‘t think I can handle a big complex illustration this month either as things are right now so I‘ll be doing a non-voted picture this month as patreon-powered art but it‘s a character that got requested a bunch so I hope you‘ll like it regardless! 🥺💕 I might also do a few extra doodles if I‘m feeling inspired, most likely keeping them in the style of the recent colored patreon reward sketches if I do since these were alot of fun.

I hope you guys understand and I‘m really really sorry but I genuinely have to take care of my health, this time for real even if it means having to force myself to not jump at working as soon as I feel somewhat better, it‘ll be better overall on the long run and I really don‘t want to repeat my recent experience… 😞 I hope this will help improve things so I can hopefully proceed normally in January and then start with a bang into 2025 🙏

But for now, this is how things are as much as I hate it 😞 I‘ll most likely update you all in a few days when I know more and got the appointments scheduled so I can also plan the reward sketches for the month more reliably. Thank you guys so much for your patience and your support! 🙏💖
