Holiday update and a few words

Hey everyone! here's a small update on the holiday season situation and a few words!

Those of you who have been with me for quite some time know that I usually take half of december off (during pre-pandemic times) to spend the holiday season with friends & family but the pandemic made this pretty much impossible with last year having us stuck in a lockdown with heavy travel restrictions and this year honestly not looking much different. Most of our holiday plans for this year got cancelled again but since I already barely took any vacation time in the recent two years I decided to take the holidays off this year regardless since being just stuck with working as other option (especially after such an awful year) seems like a terrible trade and I desperately need a longer break, which hopefully will be without any nasty interruptions this time. 🙏

Hopefully it'll help me recharge my energy a little too! been running on super low energy since the flooding hit here and barely had any time to properly recover or recharge. Things generally have been very slow here since that, considering my region has not recovered from it yet. Public transportation still doesn't really exist normally, our grocery store only just re-opened after ~5 months of no regular easy access to buy food. Yes our internet got fixed rather fast but that was the only thing they got solved fast, there's still rubble everywhere, destroyed houses and lots of normal things like the postal office or whole doctor's offices only accessible as emergency solutions.

So yeah, these things haven't been easy to work through this year but I somehow managed to keep going and I'm super super grateful for your support! I mentioned it a few times already on Twitter & Discord but this year has honestly been the worst for me so far by far, normally I'm not as slow with responses, working etc. but on top of the pandemic the flooding disaster this year just added the cherry on top of it . 😔
I want to do better again next year and I really really hope things will get better next year. I love my work and I interacting with you guys and sharing my work, I just don't love outer circumstances beyong my control making it really hard for me to enjoy things 😓
So I decided to give myself a break to reflect on things, the direction I want to go next year and also hopefully get some quality recharing time for my overall inspiration & motivation!
I'm just genuinely super exhausted from the past two years and I think alot of you can probably relate to that.

So I'll be on semi-vacation from December 24th - January 4th!
I won't be gone completely during the time but my activity will be very limited overall, I will finish my scheduled work and still post work & doodles but less frequently.
Sylveon pic is already in progress so no worried about that!  I've shared some WIPs on it on discord too, patreon reward sketches will be delayed until early January. I hope you guys understand. I'm a person too and I want to be able to get some downtime too and not having to work on new year's eve and all of the holidays like I did through the whole year🙏
