Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I am releasing my Gothic City Stockyard map, which was very much inspired by the Arasek Stockyard location from CoS.
This map features a walled-in warehouse & stockyard which contains various sheds, stables, and wagon storage as well as a small general store. A perfect map to introduce a little mystery, investigation, or perhaps an infestation of horrible rat creatures that have been living inside one of the sheds!
Also... I don't know if I'd trust going near that wagon. I've heard some vicious-sounding growling coming from within..

I created the following levels for this map:
Exterior
Loading Dock (I removed the roof from the loading ramp, which connects the yard with the 2nd-floor warehouse)
2nd Floor (Features the 2nd floor of the warheouse)
1st Floor (Features the interior of each of the sheds, stable, and warehouse / general store).
The general flow of this map is the main road to the top, which leads to a huge gate overlooked by a guard tower. The tower serves as a great location for security to watch over everyone's belongings in the sheds.
Front Gates & Guard TowerThe gates are big enough for a wagon to enter from the top and exit from the bottom of the map. In the middle of the map is a loading dock with a crane attached to it, which connects to the 2nd floor of the warehouse. This is a great elevation site in the event a combat breaks out here (maybe bandits are looting the warehouse and have positioned archers up here?)
Loading DockToward the bottom left of the map, you can find a worn wagon that looks like it might belong to a circus. Strange scratch marks are shown along the wooden ramp in the back, and if you get close enough, you can hear a low growl from within. What sort of angry creature was left in this stockyard??
Rictavio's WagonI created interiors for each of the sheds, stables, and warehouses for your players to explore. I think this location is great to add a lot of intrigue, and maybe one of the storage sheds is used for a more nefarious purpose?
Shed InteriorThe front of the warehouse features a small general store to sell excess goods that were left in the sheds when folks mysteriously go missing. What sort of strange treasures can be found here?
General StoreAnd of course, there is the warehouse itself, where goods are stored before moving either into storage, being sold directly, or being used to move to the various shops around town. What mysteries will you put in the shadows of this large warehouse?
Warehouse 2nd FloorThis is part of my Vallaki re-work and includes the 2nd to last of the official locations listed in the book (This map is inspired by Arasek Stockyard). I hope your players enjoy exploring this map, whether you're using it for mystery and intrigue or combat!

This marks the 2nd-to-last location from the CoS book for the Vallaki re-work locations. All I have left is the Town Square, which I'll work on in a few weeks. Of course, I'm not done with Vallaki by a long stretch, but at least I'll have the official locations all finished and reworked. I still plan to do maps for the Orphanage, the Sanguine Rose (my own adventure location), and some more generic streets and alleyway maps.
In the coming weeks, as the Holidays fast approach, I'll be working on a few outdoor locations, including a forest grove, an updated forest standing stones map, and another outdoor location from CoS: Reloaded.
On the Saltmarsh front, next week I'll be delivering another massive building location from the core 30 locations of Saltmarsh, which I'm very excited to share with you all. Pyram King has been doing a fantastic job creating written content for each location and is really helping to bring the town to life as a massive adventure hub that can be used for any coastal campaign or adventure.
Cheers all, and I hope you have some fantastic games coming up! Thank you SO much for your continued support.
Cheers friends,
DM Andy
