Foundry Updates: V13 & Levels
Added 2025-09-02 19:30:38 +0000 UTC
Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that all of our dependent modules have been updated to V13 now (Like Monk's Active Tile Triggers), and I just updated to V13 myself and tested out a few maps. So far, everything looks great, and you should all be safe to update to V13 if you've not done so already (of course, create backups and make sure you test out your other modules outside of the ones I require).
I'll work with Talanor to update the compatibility on our modules so it removes the warning flag (the yellow warning saying it's not been verified with V13); however, in testing, everything looks good.

In other Foundry news, Talanor has been hard at work creating an alternate version of my modules to support Levels! This popular addon was left out of the initial Foundry push as I was venturing into new territory and didn't want to overwhelm myself. But I also know many of you use Levels, so it was at the forefront of my mind.
You may have noticed that the last few releases I've been providing more transparent files for building roofs/facades as well as upper floors. This is due in part to a few reasons:
Inkarnate has added some beta features that I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to use, which support the creation of additional layers and exporting with a transparent background as a .png file. This was not there previously, which meant I had to export the map and cut out the building floor in Photoshop, which was hugely time-consuming (as most of you know from doing it yourselves!).
Over the last 1.5 years, I've been commissioning my own art assets from a collection of talented asset creators, and I have the right/permission to distribute transparent files (I had to navigate some Terms & Conditions issues in the past with using 100% of Inkarnate's asset library). Having my own assets has given me a lot more flexibility in creating transparent files such as tree tops, roofs, floors, etc.
We are still in the testing phase, and I hope to test the first Levels Module today, which is the Coffin Maker's Shop. If all goes well, I'll post the manifest URL to you all and get your feedback!
And if you're not using Levels, don't worry. My goal is to have two different versions you can choose to import via the compendium, so you can choose to use Levels or not.
I am hoping to add Levels as part of the new Module creation going forward. Updating older maps may be more challenging since I didn't build the map in a way that makes exporting a .png floor easy, but I will do my best to include these in older maps as they are converted to Foundry Modules.
Thank you all for your patience and support as we continue to grow the map library in Foundry and expand the scope of our work to include some incredible community modules.
Just know we are working hard behind the scenes to not only create new and exciting maps for you, but make them as Foundry-ready as we possibly can. A very special shoutout to Talanor, who is the talented developer I've hired to make all this Foundry magic work!
Looking forward to sharing our first Levels map and getting your feedback.
Cheers,
DM Andy
