Hey everyone, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I am releasing my next map in the Lothburgh series called "Matthias' Flat".
As a patron of mine, you're seeing early access maps and material for the new campaign setting of Lothburgh, currently being developed by Lunch Break Heroes. This setting takes place in a Victorian / Industrial-gothic / Gaslamp-fantasy inspired city run by clockwork constables and teeming with paranormal activity, missing persons, blacked skies from factory pollution, and stark working class conflicts.
Your party takes the place of a team of new private investigators who are hired to investigate all manner of crime that the clockwork constables are unable to, or unwilling to solve.
This map is from one of the adventures being created, which features a single apartment in a rundown tenement building that has been ransacked by those looking for Matthias, the Halfling who lives here, in an attempt to shake him down for gambling debts.
This is a great map for any murder/mystery/investigation type scene you're hoping to run for games like D&D, Daggerheart, Call of Cthulhu, and more!
This map features a 2nd-floor apartment, so I wanted to include a bit of the outer hallway and stairs so your players could get a feel for the map before entering the actual apartment. The hallway extends to the left and right "off map" to give a larger building feel.
These interior maps are also great for pairing them with any of the exterior maps I made (Like the Streets of New Ashes or the Streets of Whistwick) since they include so many entrance points into those buildings, you could technically place this map anywhere!
Once inside, your players will see a ransacked apartment that tells a sad story of someone in dire financial straits and even a marital separation. Being hired to find Matthias, the players can sift through the trashed belongings to get an idea of where he might be hiding. Awaiting them is a rival gang who might not be too keen on letting your would-be investigators find Matthias first.

I took a lot of influence from the classic 2014 game Thief and the wonderful set design of the interior apartments and locations. The game's gritty and detail-packed buildings have been quite inspirational to me and have given me a lot of ideas on how to approach the Lothburgh project as a whole.
A fun little detail, but if you look closely at the windows, I used a piece of beautiful art that LBH had commissioned for a centerpiece landscape of the whole city of Lothburgh. I'll let LBH reveal the full art when they are ready, but I was happy to be able to use little bits of it to show a richer city landscape teeming with detail just outside of the dirty windows in Matthias' apartment.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my creations for the Lothburgh project as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I cannot wait to share more details about the book's content with you all!

I hope you all enjoyed the Coffin Maker's Shop last week and my next Lothburgh installment. Planned out for the next few weeks, I have another CoS: Reloaded map, will be creating the next location for the town of Saltmarsh, and creating the next location in the Vallaki re-visited series, so stay tuned for lots of goodies!
Additionally, for my Foundry folks out there, good news! Monk has released MATT for v13, and that was the one module we were waiting on. Talanor (the incredibly talented developer who has been creating my Foundry modules) is working on testing our modules in v13 with the updates, and I'm hoping to have something to support both v12 and v13. Will be testing as much as we can, but just know we are working on it.
Cheers Friends,
DM Andy
