Old Stone Bridge | 30x40

Hello all, and happy New Release Monday! Today, I am releasing an outdoor encounter map called "Old Stone Bridge".

Outdoor maps are so versatile, and I wanted to create a generic location that can be dropped into any campaign as a quick map to use for a bridge encounter.

This was inspired by a scene from BG3, and I constantly find myself amazed by their art teams' 3D environments, which I find incredibly inspirational. Can't wait to do some spooky forest inspired by the Shadowlands!

I made this map in two core variants: one with the bridge over the top and the other without the bridge sections, so you can place tokens under the bridge as well as over it. I wanted this map to have a lot of verticality so you can have encounters both above and below in the ravine.

On the right side of the map, there is a small slope that can easily access the ravine, but it is a sheer rocky face on the other side. Down the right side is a muddy trail that accesses a small brook cutting through the left side of the ravine.

I placed most of the trees on the edges of the map so as not to dominate too much real estate for token placement, but still give a wild and overgrown forest feel.

The color moods available on this transform the map, and "Sunny Day" is perfect for a campaign like Lost Mines, whereas the "Gloom" color mood is perfect for the dark forests of Barovia (This would be a great bridge to put outside of the Village of Barovia, for example).

Additionally, while I don't normally do weather overlays with the "no lights" version, given the wild and untamed nature of this bridge, I thought it was more apt to include fog and rain along with unlit braziers to give a more frontier feel to it. So this time, you'll find weather effects applied to the unlit versions of the dark maps (like gloom and night).
