Hello all, and happy New Release Monday!
Today, not only am I releasing the newest map, but I'm also trying out a few new things. Before we talk about the Smuggler's Tunnels, let me fill you in on the two new things today:
1. Attached to this post is a map review video. I thought it would be a fun idea to visually show you the newest map and my thought process in making it so you can see all of the features I've added to it. Let me know if this is helpful or not!
2. I'm going to start making only a single post that everyone can see, and this post will have direct download links based on your tier. It should be a simple one-click download if you are part of the tier you clicked on (if not, you'll see an error message screen pop up). This is made possible by creating a master post for each tier and attaching all of my .zip files to the master pos,t which you will have access to in that respective tier.
Note: It's going to take me some time to get the Master Posts fully updated as 5+ years of maps is a LOT of .zip files! But I wanted to launch this now to help with some of the confusion of locked posts and messages I've been getting. I hope this is a much better and cleaner way to handle future map releases.
Now, let's get into the map!
Today's map is the Smuggler's Tunnels, which I made as an expansion to the Primewater Mansion map. You can use this either independently or use it along with Primewater Mansion to make a fully immersive and multi-level dungeon encounter. Here you can mix pirates, smugglers, political intrigue, and a good old-fashioned dungeon crawl all in one series of maps!
Some notable features of this map include:
1. Smuggler's Entrance: This entrance is only accessible at low tide by a tunnel carved into the rock leading out to the ocean. There is a locked grate just big enough for a rowboat to fit through, where smuggled goods are brought into the tunnels.
2. Smuggler's Rooms and "The Stolen Bottle" bar: I've added various smuggler rooms in which stolen cargo is stored until it can be moved safely. I also added a bar called "The Stolen Bottle," where fellow pirates and smugglers can grab a drink while they lie low.
3. Sea Creature / Egg Room: I added a room full of water and eggs laid by some type of foul sea creature. Around the room, the smugglers have created barricades to keep whatever is trapped in there at bay... at least until the eggs hatch! I also added a broken part of the wall where the creature inside might have broken free (or vice versa). My hope was to create a fun encounter idea here!
4. Wine Cellar: Whether you're using this map to connect to Primewater Mansion or using it as a special hidden smuggler's cache, I've included the wine cellar with a secret door entrance. Officially (in the Foundry module), I have it where the blue banner is, but if you're not using that module, you can add a "false wall" anywhere you'd like!

DownloadsClick the tier you are part of below, and the file will automatically download for you!

The Foundry module is available via Foundry Premium / Patreon Integration. The Foundry page can be found here.

Thank you all for your continued support of my work, and I hope these new improvements have helped streamline the process a bit and make it less confusing. I also hope you enjoyed the map review vid.
Cheers Friends,
DM Andy
