Hey everyone! Here is my second map release for today's batch of Winter's Grasp maps. In addition to the Eastern Barricades, I've also included the Town Square from the incredible DragnaCarta Reloaded Guide!
If you're looking for this series's original set of maps, you can find them in the post here.
And if you're new to the DragnaCarta Reloaded series (A supplement for Curse of Strahd), I highly recommend checking out the free guide here!
I absolutely love the imagery of a cold and snowy gothic village. It's tall, pointed rooftops jutting out from the snow, and its sloping roofs, hardly bearing the weight of the frost, add even more to the sense of loneliness and isolation. In many literary works, snow and winter have been used as a parrel to death in the silent cold and unforgiving frost accompanying winter. I can think of no better environment to put a gothic village in.
I have included three additional color moods for this set of Winter's Grasp maps, including Ghostly, Dark Fairytale, and Frozen for an even colder mood! My hope is that you have enough varying map moods to be able to run this encounter in almost all types of weather and seasons. Along with the original six color moods, that gives you a total of 12 to choose from!
With this map post, you will receive:
Six Wintery Color Moods: Chilly Day, Dark Fairytale, Frozen, Ghostly, Gloom & Night
Weather Overlays including snow, fog and sun rays
8k & 4k Image Resolution
A "No Iights" Variant
A "No Barriacdes" Variant
Grid & NoGrid Variants
Jpg & Webp File Formats
Printable PDFs
So far, I've released the parchment map of the Village of Barovia as well as snowy re-works for the Eastern Barricades and Town Square. Next up, will be a fan-favorite from Vallaki in a massive release as I cover a map inspired by the Church of St. Andral! It'll be one of my most detailed (and gothic) church/graveyard encounter maps to date and I can't wait to share a sneak peek with you all on Thursday! As we look to the future, I'll be working on a new Lothburgh map, the next addition to the Reloaded Series, and the Smuggler Tunnels for my Saltmarsh map series. There are lots of fun maps in the pipeline that I cannot wait to work on and share with you all.
Your continued support means the world to my family and me. I feel so honored and grateful to be able to work on battlemaps each and every day to share with you all. THANK YOU truly for all of your support and belief in my work.
Cheers friends,
DM Andy
